“Self-Ligating Brackets In Orthodontics”

★★★★★

written by sinoortho on 25/05/2019

Self-ligating brackets has been recognized as an industry leader for over a decade. Thousands of clinicians worldwide has trusted to treat their patients. In the case of its more traditional devices, the orthodontist uses elastics to keep the arch in the sport. In self ligating brackets, the arch is held in place by the bracket itself by closing a small spring-loaded door.

“Disappointed with Boots”

★★★★★

written by 68Penrodyn on 24/11/2018

I visited the Holyhead store to buy Boots own brand Smile Wooden Dental Sticks, as I couldn't find any I asked for assistance and was eventually told that there was none in store so I enquired when the next delivery would be and after checking was informed that they wouldn't be stocking them any more but I could check the next nearest branch which was in Llangefni. Both branches are approx.30 miles round trip from my home so I phoned the Llangefni branch to get the same answer but I could order them on line and then collect from the branch of my choice. I phoned Customer services only to discover they were discontinued and replaced by plastic ones. I have been using the wooden ones for over 30 years and am bitterly disappointed to hear this news. If you have any left in stock I would like to buy 10 boxes. Disillusioned !!

Yes, 100% agree. Couldn’t find the usual wooden ones in Boots. Eventually bought a small cardboard box of toothpicks, no description of the contents and a sign saying they had reduced the plastic in the packaging. I was therefore horrified to discover that the horrid little toothpicks are now entirely made of white plastic, and no longer out of compostable wood. Poor thinking, Boots.
