Dreams Come True
Stepping into Limelight felt like a wonderland! Absolutely beautiful shop full of gorgeous dresses and friendly staff. The staff at limelight were fantastic at accommodating my Mum who is a wheelchair user, share such a memorable and magical moment. Unfortunately it was difficult for my Mum to access upstairs. However every effort was made in making us both feel very welcome. I chose a tiara in addition to my dress and felt like a princess! My Wedding day was the happiest day of my life and I am so glad that Limelight was the place I found my dress! The first and last wedding shop I went to! Thank you all at limelight, what an amazing job you do!! Kindest regards.

Makes Dress Shopping Easy
I had only just started looking for a dress and my friend told me about Limelight Occasions in Lepton, so I went along to have a look and wasn't disappointed. Such a large choice to meet every budget. I only had a small budget but bought a beautiful sample dress. The staff are so helpful and arranged for my dress to be stored then altered to fit nearer the wedding. The dress was checked over, steam pressed and presented in a handy storage carrier and you couldn't tell that it was a sample. On the wedding day I couldn't wait to wear my dress, it got many comments and was so comfy. It also looks fantastic on the photos. They made the whole process effortless and I would definitely recommend any bride to be to go and have a look. It didn't matter how much money I had they gave me an excellent service and I felt that nothing was too much trouble.

There Is No Where Else I Would Rather Go...
The service here is above and beyond. I had booked in for an appointment here after having been twice before with two of my friends who were brides and ended up buying their dress from here and had high expectations. These expectations were met and exceeded. The dress choice is huge, for all shapes and sizes and at all prices - I have to disagree with the other review on here where it states there is limited choice - sorry! The staff could not be more helpful and are dressed professionally and have the utmost diplomacy - it is not easy when stood in your underwear but the lady that looked after me put me totally at ease. She was happy for me to try and all styles of dresses and whilst she helped suggest styles she did not force anything specific on me, she worked with me and my friends/family to narrow the selection down to something that made us all happy which wasnt easy. I now have my dream dress and could not be happier and would recommend Limelight to any bride to be as a must visit.

We Had A Really Disappointing Experience. On Arriv
WE had a really disappointing experience. On arrival for our appointment Reception was unmanned and we stood waiting for over 5 minutes before someone came. She went to find the Consultant who came in and still had to check the book for the Bride's name and then got it wrong during the consultation. Not very personal experience. The area to try on dresses was public so anyone in the shop can gawp at Brides trying on dresses in the first place. Surely such an experience warrants some privacy. My daughter wanted a less full skirt but all the dresses had wide skirts. We couldn't find one suitable dress and we had looked up to £1600 when the consultant came back and we explained what we were looking for she took us downstairs to the 'off the shelf' section where we didn't fare any better. I got the feeling the consultant felt we were being difficult and just going through the motions.
In the end after trying about 5 dresses, she recommended trying a V neck adding "but we don't have any". Which we were amazed at AND we had been told earlier in the day that a V neck would over emphasise her bust and she would look unbalanced.
My daughter tells me she was less than diplomatic describing why she thought they would have difficulty fitting her. My daughter has a beautiful Hour glass figure and needed a 16/18. Most of the samples were smaller sizes so again very little choice.
We didn't feel the consultant was very professional in attitude or dress.She clearly did not know the stock or have the technical knowledge to advise on body shape.
We looked for Bridesmaid dresses were told it didn't come in the colour we wanted then went to check and came back saying it did have similar.
I am so glad it wasn't the first shop we had tried otherwise we would have been put off looking altogether and I would have had a very desolate daughter on what should be a happy occasion. As it was, it was such an awful experience it was comical! You had to laugh about it otherwise we would have cried.
In my opinion it is trying to be something it isn't.
Come on, Limelight get more choice in skirt and necklines.
That's the issue you are focusing too much on fashion and not individual needs; not every bride's shape suits the latest fashion. We made it quite clear what she was looking for; a fishtail with a skirt that fell naturally as opposed to a flare (having identified this was the most suitable style previously). All your boutique could offer were flared/wide skirts which we pointed out at the time and your assistant was unable to identify any dresses from your range either upstairs or downstairs. We didn't have a problem with looking at the off the peg knowing we could order it's the fact that there were no dresses in the silhouette we were looking for in over 300 dresses!

As all our appointments and refreshments, are free of charge, we regret we cannot offer totally private consultations and we do make this very clear on our website. The majority of brides, choose Limelight expressly for the unique catwalk experience shown via video on our home page and tell us they enjoy sharing their wedding journey with other brides-to-be. However, if a bride feels uncomfortable, she does not need to come out on into the public area. We have designed very spacious changing rooms, with full-length mirrors, especially partitioned to accommodate seated guests. Had our consultant been made aware of your concerns she would have offered you this service. Limelight has collections of over three hundred wedding dresses in all silhouettes and a variety of sizes. It is the consultant’s job to ensure brides have the choice of our full range, and if, on the rare occasion, a bride cannot find anything she likes in our bridal room, we will suggest she views our other collections downstairs. Generally, these dresses are bought ‘off the peg’ however many are available made to order at full price. I believe you were unable to find anything upstairs your daughter liked enough to try on, so the consultant, trying her very best to help, suggested alternatives among our other designs. Collectively our consultants have over twenty years of bridal buying and styling experience, and are specifically trained to honestly and sensitively advise clients on all aspects of buying a wedding dress, including shape and fitting. We embrace the individuality of both our brides and our consultants, whom, we believe, always dress professionally and appropriately for a fashion led environment. Today’s boutiques offer a wide variety of experience to brides ranging from small and intimate to huge factory outlets and the internet. Limelight Occasions Were Fantastic At Helping Me C
Limelight Occasions were fantastic at helping me chose my perfect dress. The staff were very friendly, not pushy like in some places I went to. The shop is gorgeous.I told them my budget and they bent over backwards to help me. My Mum went with me as I did not want too many opinions about the dress as it might put me off chosing one I loved but my friends didn't. Mum sat in luxury sipping coffe whilst I tried on amazing gowns. We loved it! When I found "the one" it was perfectly altered (I was worried it would not fit as I intended to lose weight)but it looked and fitted perfectly. I was so excited and we received a glass of bubbly to celebrate finding 'my dress'. My 'husband' (funny calling him that!)adored the look - he couldn't keep his eyes off me. Thankyou to everyone at limelight for a wonderful and memorable wedding experience and for helping to make our dream weddding come true.

Limelight Occasions Ltd -Very friendly helpful people, Very spacious - even gave us a beer! good range of colours and styles. Was particularly pleased that I could try on, most stores only have one or two items and a catalogue.
