“Poor Customer Services / No Direct Complaints Dept”

Tesco Bank have a poor Customer Services, difficult to find a number and you get the usual assistants that are more of a barrier than a help. I had to phone twice before I got the help I needed to view my statements due to a technical error and was on the phone for about an hour. The first person I spoke to was quite abrupt and unhelpful and the second only helped because I asked for the complaints department. any payments over £50 would freeze my account and i would have to ring them to sort it out, direct debits being cancelled by Tesco bank without my permission the fees were refunded but i could have done without the stress at Christmas. Attitude from customer service when you want to pay in money. Declining transactions for no reason. The list is endless, i stuck it out for just over a year for the clubcard points but they are not worth the hassle… Read Full Review

I applied for a Tesco Credit card, in due course they wrote to me for ID etc, which I sent. Since then nothing..I spoke ti them on Twitter who said they cannot see an application on there system...they suggested re-applying which I did, only for Web site stating i have an application in progress. If you wish to loose your money, open an account with Tesco bank. The worst, uneducated and inexperienced staff with no sense of the real world. SO... I had my credit card with Tesco for a couple of months before it all started going wrong. I was using their online banking and soon enough they would block my log in details EVERY TIME I tried to log in. I thought the first couple of times I was in putting them wrong and there probably was times when I was! Snap! over one week of having my bank account frozen by them and they still have n't contacted me as to why despite numerous calls by me. Absolutely appalling as it is causing me financial difficulties as well as costing me financially.

I ordered travel money for urgent collection on a Sunday. I received an email that my money was ready to collect. I went to the bureau and it was closed due to staff sickness. I did receive a voicemail message to advise me of this but it was too late, I had already made the visit. I then had to take time off work to make my collection on a week day. they blocked my account for security no calls to try and resolve from them, then 3 phone calls later told there security department is not open cant make payments, transfers or even withdraw cash what's the point in security department that's shut customers should expect this to be 24 hours its security related same as every other bank I have ever used. 6 Hours to get through after suspicious activity on my account resulting in £278 withdrawn causing unnecessary stress and anxiety to me. This is the worse bank I have ever had and I regret ever opening an account with them in the first place. I only started using tesco less than a week ago. And my bank card and online banking has been blocked twice on the same day for no reason. They left me stranded after calling them 3 times. Well I have been kicked off of the app for no reason, no big deal I am sure there is ano easy way to sort that out. After looking on the website I find link after link sending me round in circles and when I finally get to what I want I need to imputation my security number to re set, not a problem... oh wait it won't let as there is a problem with my app!! Got courtesy car straight away and car been taken for repair next day and returned on a day I requested, which was quite short time.
