“An amazing find”

★★★★★

written by Serita on 04/06/2014

What an amazing find Lovely modern room ,extremely clean with everything one would need The restaurant is an epicurean delight, chef cooked fantastic scallops with pea purée garnished with crispy bacon and pea shoots, even asking to have them cooked to my taste which is cooked through ,they still melted in my mouth. Chose local foods and had fillet of mackerel on a bed of remoulade which was better than a Scandinavian one, the mackerel cooked to perfection and a smear of apple chutney with a hint of spice. Not wanting to stop there I had to order desert ,Oh what can I say mouth watering treacle tart made with raspberry served with fresh raspberry ice cream . Would recommend anyone passing to visit the restaurant and after indulging stay and sleep it off Staff were all really friendly and attentive as a woman staying away for work it has been a really nice experience

The menu is different each time we go; plus there are specials of the day. The food is cooked to perfection, it is presented well and tastes wonderful.
The Blue Ball Inn is clean and staff helpful. In the winter you can eat in front of a real log fire. There is a good range of wines and a choice of real ales at the bar.
It might not be the cheapest but the food is worth every penny.
