Oscars this year were better than usual. I loved it when actors who had already won awards during previous years said something about the nominees in the major categories. I also liked it when they didn't try to push people off the stage. It didn't bother me that the awards went on longer than expected. I missed the songs from the films. I would have preferred to hear full versions of each song and wish there could have been more than 3 songs. I also felt that the videos of those who died this year were too small. They used to do it as a full screen presentation.

I thought this year's The Oscars 2009 show was great! I loved seeing Ledger get the posthumous Oscar and was also really pleased with the other winners as well.

Although Jackman was good, I thought the rest of The Oscars 2009 SUCKED! What happened to the flow, something was off. THREE song choices for Best Song? With two from the same movie...what?! You mean to tell me they couldn't dig up a few more songs, come on! How about the great camera work during In Memoriam...show some respect for the dead actors, I can still get chances to see Queen Latifa sing it's over for the dead people. Poor Show!

The Oscars 2009 were much, much better than the last two years. First two hours were very entertaining. Sean Penn and Slumdog won. Lots of funny skits. However, the last forty-five minutes seemed to drag on with countless commercial breaks. Also Dark Knight was not nominated for at least Directing. It was way better than last few years, very entertaining for most of the show.

Hugh Jackman - debonair, polished, unaffected, heartwarming - a great performer and MC.
Evening was equally generous, hospitable, and largesse of the attendees to the nominees and the recipients to the rest was a pleasure to behold.
Beautiful musical and dance perfomances throughtout.
Nothing was over the top. The women were magnificently outfitted, the men did not fall short.
Excellent conception, informative and special.
The Oscars 2009 was a great event - well covered from the early afternoon throughout - worth staying awake for 7 hours.

Always been a big fan of The Oscars, personally find films one of the main intrests I focus on and keep up to date with in life.. which I realise a lot of people might find a little sad, but with The Oscars 2009 date coming up Im more excited than ever with such great movies that are being released.
I've recently seen a lot of the Oscar 2009 Nominations, such as Slumdog Millionaire Oscars, what a great film that I think may come away with quite a few awards!
Last years Oscars 2008 was a slight disappointment for me, so Im hoping it is much improved this year... well recommend tv programme to watch for me!
