“I purchased the HTC Magic from Vodafone about six...”

I purchased the HTC Magic from Vodafone about six months ago now. I am very pleased with the software and functionality. Using Google Apps on the phone is great and the set-up was a doddle.

The major issue O have with the phone is the build quality. The phone is meant to last a two year contract and it isn't going to make it. Already after six months, the phone looks warn and old. It is not as easy to get skins for the Magic like the iPhone, and as a result the phone takes it's fair share of… Read Full Review

Sure the Anadroid powered HTC has some good features, it is just not a patch on the iPhone, especially its user interface (UI).
Firstly the good point. Google integration - I just love the mail… Read Full Review

Thanks for a detailed review on HTC Magic. It looks like a very good smartphone that can be compared with others. Great features but I guess the price would be a little turn off.

With regard to you 'pinch to zoom' comment, have you considered/tried 'rooting' your Magic?

<br/>Makes a world of difference and will take, maybe, half an hour first time. After that, if you go the cyanogen route ( pun not intended ) you can update over the air to the latest modded roms.
