Environment of Bulls Head pub is very pleasant and the bar was 'window dressed' and looked lovely. Food was mediocre. Sunday lunch menu - Yorkshire Puddings with potatoes and veg doesn't constitute a vegetarian option! Service was VERY slow - order taken half an hour after sitting down despite a 1.30 for 2pm booking. The Bull's Head is pretty popular with people in the local area. I've been there a few times and the food is pretty good. They serve mainly pub-grub standards (like beef and ale pie, fish and chips, curry), plus a selection of decent steaks, a few of fish dishes and one or two other things like a rather nice medallions of lamb.
Desserts are a good range of stuff. The lemon meringue pie is good, they do a great sticky toffee pudding and a good range of ice creams. Sunday lunch is good too…
