Club Academy, Manchester

Manchester Club Academy or any of the Academy rooms for that matter are a great little venue to go and see some of your favourite bands and artists and most importantly for a reasonable price. I have been to many gigs here in the past and think its brilliant.

Club Academy consists of Academy 1, 2, and 3. I've been to all three of them on many occassions and my experience has been mixed. Academy 1 and 2 have some great artists on, good sound and a good atmosphere. However, i've been to the Academy 3 and the sound has been poor, the music has been poor and it's seemed to have been used to exploit young musicians into getting their friends to keep the venue in profit. I was put off the Club Academy by these practices but stil wouldn't hesitate to see a band I want to see there.
