“Outstanding irons for the price, highly recommend to...”

I tried about four sets of irons, over the past few years at silly prices. Tried graphite as well as steel, but just had no consistency and it effected my confidence and filtered into the rest of my game which was in good shape. I decided to take a chance and by the Wilson deep red maxx steel irons, which were on sale at a superb price, but what amazed me was you get an oversized stainless steel head, with true temper shafts, and an all weather grip. Straight away at addressing the ball it felt good and the sound as I struck the ball was excellent. I hit every iron sweetly and the flight and distance were perfect. Also I found I could shape shots too. To me being a mid handicap player, these irons are just what I was looking for,for the price second to non.

“Pull the Trigger with deep red”

★★★★★

written by GolfEngineer on 04/10/2013

After graduating from my budget Dunlop sticks, anything was going to be an improvement. Having tried various clubs on my way to selecting the ones I wanted I was particularly struck by the solidness of Wilsons fat shaft range of Irons, then I discovered the Deep Red's and the rest is History. Great feedback, super forgiving and planted, the WT-100's I have inspire confidence. The true temper shafts are superb and feel solid no matter what the address or swing, great for getting you out of trouble or landing that perfect shot onto the dance floor. Could be a bit longer but that would be asking a lot of such a forgiving club, I feel that these Irons have contributed to a 4-5 shot improvement in my game and have put my game into competitive territory, am now Wilson for life. Pro's :- Well made, solid, game improvement irons with a great feel of pedigree. great for medium-high handicappers, genuine true temper technology and great value for money. Con's :- To short for lower handicappers.

I was using a set of Titleist DCI clubs and couldn't cure my slice and didn't feel confident stepping up to the ball. After purchasing the Deep Red clubs I have confidence because my shots are deep and straight. The club face is so large and forgiving. EXCELLENT SET

I recently bought the full set of Wilson Deep Reds including stand bag. I have used them twice & my game has improved amazingly. They feel really good to use. My drives are a lot straighter & far further. The irons feel well balanced and give me the confidence to attempt shots from difficult conditions. Putter has improved my game too. Well worth the money.

I can confirm i have based my view after using the Product and it is factual. I was playing a terrible round with my set of Dunlop Woods and Tiger Shark Irons, unable to hit a barn-door fom 5yards.Half way around i borrowed Wilson Fatshaft Irons and a Wilson Deep Red Driver.
Awesome distance off the tee with accuracy, forgiving irons with good distance and accuracy.Confidence from zero to ten in a couple of shots ending the day on a high.I've previously played Ping & Mizuno but nothing compares to these clubs.Thank you Wilson. Also started playing with the Ultra golf ball and able to compete again. Tremendous value for money.

Moved from fat shaft steel irons to deep red II graphites, noticed how much longer they hit need to come down a club.
not a club for everyones taste. this club gives you confidence to attack shots. with more use of these irons my handicap is gradually coming down. have owned these irons for 3 years now and take at least 8 shots off my handicap.

They have a lot of forgiveness and you obtain long distance with the driver. By the price you get a complete set you are not going to get a clubs as good as the Deep Red. They are great but the putter is not as good as the irons. I would recommend the Wilson Deep Red Irons.

These clubs are not only forgiving, they also give good distance. I tried most of the major brands and a wide range of prices, including the most expensive. The Deep Reds simply suited my game the best. These clubs worked for me. They are certainly worth a try.

Switched from Ping ISO's to the Fat Shaft. More distance, apx. One club and consistantly straighter. Not for everyone but STRONGLY suggest you try them when testing other clubs!

written by Celt_Ginger. on 30/07/2002

Wilson Deep Reds are nicely made irons, fitted with the Fatshaft graphite shafts, which are wonderfully light and beautiful to look at. The makers name is on the underside of the shafts, so when you adress the ball you don't see the graphics and name and so are not destracted by them. They have plastic inserts behind the face, which helps to avert the problem of jarring and shuddering you get in your arms when a poor shot is played.
