Ive had my GSI since December 2017 and its not Oct 2022 and i can honestly say that its the most reliable car ive ever owned and ive owned 20+. Yes its had 2 coil packs, 2 rocker cover gaskets, battery, driveshaft, clutch, loads of tyres, pcv valve clean and gallons of oil but its coming on now to 5 years of owning her. Starts up first turn of the key and even when it did get poorly (pcv was stuck open and stalled and wouldnt start for ages) it still got me home as i was 50 miles away. The car is a female and shes a important member of our family, she does as shes asked and easily does 130mph on half a pedal. Her turbo hisses like the maddest snake and she does go!.Ive had numerous offers from people trying to buy her but not a chance. Shes worth double the amount i paid for her years ago and has full service history.Trust me if you get chance of one, take it.

Grab one while you can - best car I have had, but beware, as they become rarer, part prices will start to increase. A true car collectors item, if they survive moving washing machines, and 7 humans at high speed Reliable, fun and very adaptable Road manners very predictable, good over taking power Comfortable and well trimmed. Unlikely to get attention from boy racers - except respect from those with the knowledge of what they are

i have had mine a year and seating in it is the worst car ever defiantly not a car for a bussy mum i have 3 kids all in forward facing car seats and cant fit all of them in the middle row so one has to go in boot. all the time have to clime in boot to fasten him in. because if i wanted to put him in from back doors i would have to totally unfasten and remove one of the car seats it is a night mare. and when the youngest was in a refacing car seat she could not go in front as you cant turn off air bag unless you buy a vauxhall cars seat. to put up or down seats in back all car seats have to be removed from car. i totally hate my car after a year have had enough and and cant take it any longer and looking for a new car.

As a whole the vauxhall zafira gsi turbo is a very fast mpv.I0ve owned mine for about 3 years, and apart from m.o.ts, car tax and insurence,oh and new front tires every 5-6 months (as i like to leave little boy racers 4 dust at traffic lights) its been pretty reasonable on cost to run and mentain. So if your thinking of buying one then do so,you wont be dissapointed. I also still think gsi zafira looks better than the vxr zafira. But not as fast

I had my Zafira GSI turbo for 18 months and loved every second of owning it. Humiliating boy racers with the kids and dog in the car is always a fun way to brighten the journey. The only MINOR niggle was that it can be heavy on front tyres if you drive enthusiastically and I had to replace the nearside outer cv joint twice in the time i owned it. However i think that may be partly due to an abundance of roundabouts where I live and the fact i have a very heavy foot. As for fuel economy, I didn't think it was too bad. Infact for what the car can do I found it very reasonable. Not all the boxes can be ticked all of the time. I have never regretted selling a car in the past apart from this one. I would happily recomend one to anybody and am currently looking for another one.

had the GSi for 6 years.,.. great , the wife loves it... however have a fault on it at the moment that the local dealer has given up on...tells me it will cost a fortune to investigate , just be careful as it seems they have built a car they cant diagnose faults on..

We brought our Zafira new, it has been a brilliant car loads of room, its also a fantastic little van and has saved us hundreds of pounds on deliveries of items like large tv's tumble dryers etc. It is so very comfortable as well. Drives like a dream on both long and short journeys. The only thing I don't like about the Zafira is the auto cut out where the onboard computer tells its self that the engines flooded, though green flag did show me how to get round this pretty quick. I also don't like where the spare wheel is. Being a lady driver its impossible for me to get it off :(. All in all though the 5 years ive owned this car has been a real joy ill be sad to see her go later this year.

i bought a used vauxhall zafira 1.6 16v in the first year it was ok then it had really bad problems the recycling valves twice then the worst was the starting motor when it went in and turned it got stuck then when i went to collect my son it wen up in smoke with my two little kids in it all together it had 46 problems and the engine management light kept on coming on and when vauxhall put it ion the computer it was the totally wrong thing. then just in april 2009 we got a ford c max 1.6 ocean blue 2006 lovely car i should have bought it in the first place better accaleration better interior more comfortable everyone i wouldnt recommend the zafira but i would reccommend the c max. but i would say it did have 76 000 miles on it but c max lasts in it 100 000's. when we swapped it for a c max it was only worth 1,300 dont get it get the new vauxhall zafira is is way more reliable

Bought the zaffy private with 59k miles, ive had no problems at all as yet, ive only spent money on maintaining the car,ie cambelt etc,the gsi was my option as ive always enjoyed high performance cars, so along with the 7 seats and spacious interior it became my top choice. The gsi goes really well indeed with options to improve performance up to 300bhp without causing unreliability issues,so if your like me, a dad with a need for a toy as well as a family car then the Vauxhall Zafira GSi Turbo is a top choice!!!

I have had the zafira gsi for 4 years... i have never felt let down by it in any aspect... has enough space even with a full car the engine gives rapid respone and you just dont realise you are driving an mpv.... just cant say enough.... mean machine

Goes like "off a stick" for a family mpv not a lot can touch it for performance. Very thirsty and if you have any engine trouble its down to Vauxhall for there little chaps with the computer at nice prices NOT...!

I have the Zafira Design 2.0 DTI and I am not at all impressed as I have had Peugeot and Citroen in the past without ever any engine faults so beware if you have suddenly have high oil consumption.

Great versatile car (looks/space etc) but def for the older family! I use to have a galaxy and the Zafira is certainly a come down. I'm now looking to change it, cannot find a 7 seater that can accommodate 7 people and 2 buggies and shopping!

Love this for the speed, we live in Germany and it turns heads when you drive past on the motorway at 125mph!

I have had this Vauxhall Zafira for 7 months and would not change it. I have 3 children and find there is plenty of room for everyone. The two rear seats, when folded flat do not restrict load space. The engine is very rapid for an MPV and will leave the boy racers in their GTI's standing at traffic lights and junctions. I have an Arden Blue colour and think that it is the best colour for this model.
The GSI seems to be a rare car which is good and still turns heads.
Anybody who needs a sensible family car with lots of space and 7 seats, but still wants to have fun should definitely try this car.

I have covered around 7000 miles since I bought my GSI around 7 months ago and have enjoyed every minute.
Vauxhall Zafira GSi Turbo appear to be quite rare in my opinion especially in silver (like mine) as I have not seen many on the road (just travelled a 700 mile round trip and saw only 2) and this is exactly how I like it as I like to drive something a bit different.
The car has good performance and handling and leaves people wondering what it carries under the bonnet as they struggle to keep up off the lights.
I have had a roof mounted DVD player fitted to keep the kids entertained and it works a treat.
I would recommend this car to anyone as it has everything you need, space, good looks, goes well and also is quite good on fuel.
