I used to listen to Traffic Radio as I prepared for my journey but found that for those longer trips that I missed some o fthe news while in the car. Now I can listen while I drive using Traffic Media UK on my iPhone, a traffic news solutions integrating audio, text and webcams traffic news(www.trafficmediauk.com). The best part was that it only cost me £1.19 although the publishers claim that this is only an introductory offer and will go up to full price when the new version is released.

I can now listen to traffic alerts in my car (I don't have a DAB radio) and if needed can pull over and review more details through the alert system and motorway images. There are three or four UK traffic application for the iPhone but this is the first that also offers integrated traffic radio access which means I can monitor traffic conditions legally while driving.

I only wish I could also get audio traffic news for Wales and Scotland.
