“Negligent!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by JP1981A on 02/11/2017

Their security allowed travellers in the area into the entertainment complex where hundreds of children had their evenings entertainment ruined then cut short after fighting broke out. All the paying holidaymakers are not allowed in the entertainment complex without their pass. Rather than contain the non-paying travellers outside whilst they waited for the police to arrive, security thought the best course of action would be to allow them into the bar area, a dark environment full of young children?

“size of TV”

★★★☆☆

written by Yuliana448 on 07/05/2014

This is the first time I have ever to make any complaint about haven Seashore but today we arrived and was put in a lovely caravan but the TV is very very small now I am very short sighted my husband asked if the TV could be changed and he was told no. there was no looking into it to see if it could be changed just for the 4 nights we are here. So instead of having a restful break with all meals and drinks had on site I will be fighting a headache from watching the TV. Very disappointed in the customer service today. Had been planning on booking a break later in the year to bring my granddaughter buy not so sure now

arrived. 14.00 made to wait till 16.00 for key.s to caravan reason they.have to clean, caravan. it was the most disgusting caravan we have.misfortune stay in. blood on mattress unknown stains on bedding and seating broken tv. in fact the only thing that was clean.was the new fridge. even on the out side their was. human waste underside of van.we have complained to haven. with no reply. so they treat 9.50 holiday makers with the greatest respect. you shouldn't have to complain. on a haven holiday.

“Good time”

★★★★☆

written by on 23/05/2013

Went as a group of 27 (20 adults 7 kids) had a good time, one night next door caravan very noisey - called security within 2 mins they had come and sorted it out - well done them. Not overly happy when one of the staff on crazy golf called my 9 1/2 year old son "Stupid", it didn't distract from the holiday at all but would put me off going with kids again as it spoilt the holiday for him. There had been a lot of updating around the park and every where looked nice.

“You get what you pay for”

★★★★☆

written by stephiefilby on 15/10/2012

We have been here several times as a family,s three adults and four kids, and always had a good time. The staff always seem approachable and helpful and the site ismclean and tidy. We usually go around may time and to be honest last time the weather was gorgeous but the outside water park was closed as it was the wrong time of year. We had been later in the year the year before and the weather was rubish but the park was open. Seemes a bit daft to me. Did get a bit annoyed as the facilities would randomly close during the day as they were filming their advert the week we went, would have been nice to be informed of this before we booked. Overall though itsma good place to for a cheap family holiday.

the staff are fantastic, friendly and happy. the site clean and well kept. entertainment great for one week as repeated for the following. FUNSTARS (blue coats) are funny for adults as well as children, and always on the go night and day. cheap on site to as we ate out every night and didn't say no to the kids for many things and spent less than a thousand in 8 days/9nights for 3 adults and 4 children aged 5 to 7. lots to do come rain or shine we were on the go from 9am til 10.30 pm as we have youngsters but partying goes on til 2am if you want, our caravan was quite close but didn't hear anything.we all had the best time ever!

dont go!!after arriving 30mins after our check in time we walked in our caravan to find staff still cleaning it,after a short wait in car we entered and overall it appeared clean, cups were laid out on table and kids played whilst we unpacked,on closer inspection those cups were dirty and so was the crockery!! the kitchen floor had chips on it! and even tho we paid for an upgrade there was no heating apart from a small fire,so that night we had to camp out in lounge until we found the hire shop..THEN IT HAPPENED my 5yr old started vomitting,my 3yr old got diarhhoea i got it, my partner doubled up in pain and then my 4mth old baby started vomitting and we had to leave our manky caravan for a nice stay in a sterile hospital, complained to haven and still waiting for a reply

Arrived August and found accomodation very poor paid £1000 for a Prestige caravan and was very disappointed. Just depends how lucky you are because the quality of the Prestige caravan varies widely as we found out to our cost. The beds in the single rooms are not suitable for anyone over 5ft 8. Doors would not close and faulty toilet that kept flushing. The site was good and plenty to do and the staff were helpful but you might as well book a cheaper caravan if you are not bothered about accomodation.

written by gabsmw2 on 02/11/2010

Went to seashore in october 2010 through the sun newspaper. We had read the reviews before we went and to say the least i was not at all impressed.Got to the camp at around 17.15 on friday went to receptoin to get keys, all staff very helpful and polite. We decided to upgrade caravan and it was well worth the extra £15.Very clean and comfortable.Entertainment is good on site, food at the mash and barrel is as good as pub grub can be,so overall we were very happy we went to seashore.
If u go into great yarmouth you can catch the road train from outside the camp for £1.50.Not much to do in the town went to sealife and yesterdays world which were ok,but AVOID house of waxs, its so bad we laughed, please dont waste your money getting in,ITS JUST SO BAD.

“Just back from a 3 day break at Seashore, 2 adults and...”

★★★☆☆

written by on 31/08/2010

Just back from a 3 day break at Seashore, 2 adults and 2 children. It was very cold weather wise and the bedrooms are absolutely freezing - no heating in them only a fire in the living area. the 1st night was unbearably cold in the bedrooms with the children waking throughout the night. On the 2nd and 3rd night we all slept in the living area and pulled mattresses from the bedrooms.

The bedrooms are tiny, we are slim adults and struggled to move around in them!! The TV in the living area is tiny. There is no microwave in the kitchen. Also had to drive through mucky grass to get to our van.

The complex is nice with lots of activities going on. Enjoyed the food in the onsite restaurant/bar on two ocasions.

When checking in the staff were not very welcoming and I and others had to wait for the checking in staff who were at the back of the building to come to the front which took them about 20minutes and a long queue formed behind me.

The beach is ok, water not that clean for the kids. Lots of places to eat around the sea front and pleasure beach is good. Had a day at the races which is around the back of the site. Good day.

Just bring plenty of warm clothing and extra blankets for young kids.

written by on 22/08/2010

Just come back from a weeks holiday and we all enjoyed it very much. We took a party of 5 adults and a child whom is one. We went for a prestige caravan and it was much better than i expected. It had a large flat screen tv, washing machine, on-suite and decking. Excellent location for the caravan as we were surrounded by private owners. Entertainment was good and staff were freindly. The only thing lacking was more food choices on site.

IT IS WHAT IT IS. ME AND MY PARTNER TOOK OUR 5 CHILDREN ALL OF VARIOUS AGES FROM 4 TO 15, THEY JUST WENT OFF TO DO THEIR OWN THING AND WERE SAFE IN DOING SO. THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD BUT THE SHOP ON SITE WAS VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. WE WENT TO THE ASDA NEARBY.
VERY FRIENDLY,GREAT FOR THE LITTLE ONES BUT THE 8 YEAR OLDS AND PLUS FOUND IT BORING AT TIMES SO MADE NEW FRIENDS AND DID THEIR OWN THING.
WOULD WE GO BACK?
YES BUT NO LONGER THAN A WEEK.

★★★☆☆

written by on 10/08/2010

Haven Seashore - Gt. Yarmouth - 2010 - We are here as a family group - 3 caravans in total - paid roughly same price for all caravans but ALL differ in quality. Worst has poorly sealed single glazed draughty windows for £700 and slightly better quality accomodation at £750. Great Yarmouth is a lovely clean family orientated seaside town close to the Norfolk Broads and Adnams brewery at the quaint Suffolk town/village called Southwold. Beaches are long, clean and mainly sandy. Entertainment at Seashore is "typically" camp and you can double the amount of prices you pay for goods on the site - however Asda is just five minutes drive down the road.

“YOU MUST READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO VISIT SEASHORE,...”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 03/08/2010

YOU MUST READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO VISIT SEASHORE, GREAT YARMOUTH.
Me, my partner, his 9 year old daughter, and his brother went to the park in October 2009. When we arrived you had to sit in your car until you were called into the hall to be given the keys. This was irritating after driving for 5 hours in a cramped car. When we were called into the hall it was packed and you were given a number, you had to wait for your number to be called out for your keys, we were 303. We had a long wait, When we were finally seen to they wanted a 41 year old man to share a bed with a 9 year old. We had to wait an extra 45 minutes for them to give us a larger caravan. When we got to the caravan and opened the door I was in shock, this being my first caravan holiday the first thing I said is when are we going home. There was holes in our caravan wall from where people had punched there fist through the wall. When you walked into the bedrooms you opened the door and fell on to the bed without having to take a step, the cooker smoked that much you had to stand outside whilst cooking as it just filled the caravan with smoke. The television was in the corner and no bigger than a 14 inch, so the tele was not worth watching as you could'nt see the picture anyway. Our caravan was right next to the bins and if you opened the window the smell used to waft in so instead you kept the windows closed which made the musky damp smell stay in the air. Apart from that, the childrens entertainment was good but not much for adults apart from bingo every night which can get very boring. The food at the restaurant was ok but the cooked breakfast was very small.

“Went with my fiancee, 7 year old daughter and 3 month...”

★★★★☆

written by on 02/08/2010

Went with my fiancee, 7 year old daughter and 3 month old son and we all had a fantastic time. the facilities on site were fantastic, easy to access and spacious. the children's entertainment was first class! our daughter didn't want to leave! there was more than enough to entertain us all on the caravan site alone but it was easy to access attractions in the town centre as well as surrounding coutryside from the site.
The only reasons I have for not giving the site 5 stars is that we had nothing to clean our caravan with (hoover/mop etc) which meant that by the end of the week it was quite unclean. Also there was a peculiar wet patch on the floor of our caravan which got progressively worse as the week went on and led to the room smelling very stale :-( also, I think that, for extra value for money (given the cost of these holidays!!) a microwave in each caravan would be a BIG plus.

Still, we had a great time and will definitely recommend both the area and the location!

“I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews....”

★★★★☆

written by niranjanchogle on 30/07/2010

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews. But the holiday park was excellent and great Yarmouth was a small but a sunny holiday town. Our caravan was right beside the sand dune, so could see the beach. I can now understand that these holidays in holiday parks cna be a hit or a miss, depending on the state of the induvidual caravan. Our was relatively new and extra wide, so we enjoyed it.
