Unlike other Apple products this was not easy to install. Connected initially with an Ethernet cable, it took nearly a week to perform the first back up. Once this was done I reverted to wireless, which seems to work in the background. The first machine suffered a power failure - but Apple were great in replacing it as part of the recall scheme. The price seems very high when compared to other hard drives on the market which are at a fraction of the price.

Despite reading a lot of bad reviews, our website design company, Website Facility decided to try out the apple time capsule as a means to pass files from one mac to another.
We have 4 macs running off it, and we use it every day. I was warned by an Apple employee that using the time capsule to the extent that we were planning to could cause problems. So far, we have not had any problems however there are a long list of reviews who's time capsules have crashed or stopped working completely.
Like all apple products, the time capsule is exceptionally easy to use and to setup. The only problem I can see which needs addressing is the reliability. With the time capsule, you have a 2 week period after purchase in which you can take it back to apple if you are unhappy. My advice would be to use it as much as possible for the first 2 weeks, any problems at all - take it straight back because its not worth the risk!
From my point of view, so far so good!
