Dean And Denise Wedding June 19th 2011
Well, what can I say about Colmar film productions....... Colin.....what a fantastic guy....Colin came to our house to film us all getting ready for my sister in laws wedding.....he fitted in straight away assisting us to get ready, encouraging ideas to assist us in our dresses throughout the day....helping my father in law getting ready.....he was so entertaining we were able to stay calm and focused on the day.
During the whole wedding Colin ensured that we captured every moment and gave us some very memorable footage!
The DVD is amazing, with special features which have made us both laugh and cry.....capturing precious footage of our Mother and sister in law which we will treasure for ever.
We would all recommend Colin for anyone who is getting married and needs someone with a sense of humour and willingness to be part of the family in order to capture every moment.
Thank you Colin, you are an amazingly funny man who made the day so easy for us considering we had a video camera around us all day.

Absolutley great. We wouldn't be without it. Must have watched it 50 times and we only got married this summer.
Colin was excellent, putting us at ease and the finished result had everyone in tears, bringing back all the parts of our day that we had missed or forgotten about.
Make sure you budget for a DVD

Colmar Films Was Great. We Got Married In July Th
Colmar Films was great. We got married in July this year. They were helpful and fun to have around. It was like having a second dad on hand. They helped with ties and buttonholes and made us all relax.
We have just received our finished DVDs and they are brilliant, the whole day was brought back to life for us.
I would recommend them to anyone.

Colmar Film Productions, Brightlingsea, Essex Film
Colmar Film Productions, Brightlingsea, Essex filmed our wedding on 6th June 2009 and we cannot Thank the photographer enough he was absolutley lovely, friendly, attentive all throughout our day. He was very professional and the guests never even noticed him filming half the time. He captured everything and even handed out tips to my mum when she was struggling to lace up my dress. The photographer made everyone feel relaxed and he has a great sense of humour. We had a few problems with our photos and the photographer and his assistant were so helpful they offered us to their house to capture some stills off of the footage he had taken of our day. When we got the final dvd and watched it I couldnt stop crying with joy what a fantastic job he had done it made me want to do it all over again . I would highly reccomend Colmar to anyone wanting a videoographer for any occation. Thankyou.

'i Have Just Read The Negative Comments About Colm
'I have just read the negative comments about Colmar Film Productions and I really have to come to their defence. They filmed my wedding in 2008 plus my two sisters' weddings in 2007. We all enjoyed having the photographer around, he was helpful, friendly and at times did more than his job entailed. I am 100% positive that his job description does not mention CHILDCARE, so it is not his place to control the children during speeches it is a parental responsibility, alternatively do not invite children to the wedding. The final DVDs were excellent and we still watch them with friends and family.'

I Find Myself Unable To Find Any Good Points For M
I find myself unable to find any good points for my dealings with Colmar Film Productions as the bad points seemed to have outweighed them recently.
Colmar had been recommended by a friend as they had used them. I found them absolutely fine throughout my day until after... when I had received my DVD's I noticed the following:
1) Not all songs had been put on the DVD as requested by myself and my husband, which meant that a few areas were very strange to watch due to what was being said. The conversation was absolutely fine, it just felt strange to watch.
2) You would never had known some of our friends and family were at our wedding as most of the filming was on us, well apart from the line up.
3) We paid for an additional camera man to film my husband and his morning. Trust me, for an extra 200 pounds this really didn't seem worth it as I think that there was about 3 minutes of filming on our DVD (if that). They showed passing rinds over, leaving the house and about 40 seconds in a pub.
4) Colmar actually missed off half of the aisle walk in the church, bearing in mind the extra videographer was at the back of the church waiting for me and the other was at the front.
5) The main speeches had been over taken by a group of three children sitting next to the camera, so they were not very clear. Having spoken to Colmar, they advised that they the children should not have been there in the first instance. This was a wedding, surely this would be the responsibility of the camera man knowing full well that this would be picked up on the DVD.
6) Speeches were made at the end of the day before Colmar left to bridesmaids, ushers, mums, etc...I was advised that they had to do their speech several times as Colmar had forgotten to switch his camera on. Also Colmar had agreed that the camera operator had failed to put the ushers comments to us on the DVD. Not sure how this was possible without having watched the full footage filmed.
There are a few other mistakes that were made by Colmar on the day but I should imagine just what I have already mentioned is enough.
I am sure everyones feelings are different, but I would just like to advise everyone of my experience with Colmar. I have asked Colmar if I could have any additional filming of our special day which he feels is appropriate to see and to send us, but we have not received any.
I will mention that Colmar have offered for us to go to them to see the footage of the day. All I asked for was some extra footage or a new DVD to be made for us so we could see everything and everyone from our day.
Unfortunately this is not something that I feel I can just return and ask for your money back.
With regards to the review, I feel that a reply is necessary.1.All the songs provided were on the DVD, 2.Every videographer will attempt to film as many friends and relatives as possible during the day, however it is the Bride & Grooms big day and they must remain centre stage.3.The extra cameraman was there to film the Groom at home, the fact that the Groom went to the Pub was not the cameraman's fault and he did follow the Groom and did what was required. Footage was taken of the groom at the church and also during the service from the rear of the church, again filming what the Bride had requested.4,The cameraman at the rear of the church started to film the Bride entering but as was explained to the Bride the Photographer stepped in front of the camera and blocked the shot,(this can be seen on the footage) 5,With regards to the children, it was in fact the Brides sisters child that was talking and SURELY it is not the Videographers place to ask guests to take their children out of the reception.6.Regarding the messages from different guests, to get the best results it is sometimes necessary to film a couple of times, even the BBC has retakes.During the editing the ushers were missed from the final DVD, however when this was pointed out a new DVD was produced and the Bride informed. The Couple were invited to view the original footage at our studio but declined for reasons only know to them.We always strive to give perfection to all our clients and I feel that with so many satisfied couples in the past we must be doing it right as we get many letters and emails congratulating us. Colmar Film Productions
Noisy children at a wedding are not the camera man's responsibility, they can only capture the day as it happens. Our experience with Colmar was excellent and obviously so was your friends otherwise they wouldn't have recommend them
