Although my family thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Lapland day trip once we had got there I have to say the flight left a lot to be desired. We went on an old plane but it was comfortable so no real problem there but I have to say it was not Christmassy at all . We had the most miserable cabin crew in the history of the world . Even if they had played a Christmas cd over the tannoy anything would have made the 3 and a half hour flight more enjoyable. The only thing remotely Christmassy was the plane full of very excited children.

I just returned from Enontekio last night having been on day trip with my husband, daughter and 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 7. I cannot fault a thing.Everything ran very smoothly and the whole experience was truly magical from checking in for flight to arriving back home.I travelled to Lapland 6 years ago with my older grandson having booked with Canterbury Travel. It too was magical but our Transun trip was every bit as good. I think that some people's expectations may be set too high, either that or they are just complainers who would be unhappy with whatever was dealt them.

Just got back from a day trip with Transun on 22nd from Leeds/Bradford family of 4, kids 7&4yrs. We took a long time deciding whether to book or not after reading nightmare reviews but we all had a great time. I do think it is a gamble because of the unpredictable weather but if your willing to take the chance id recommend you do, its so magical! We were delayed 2hrs going but they gave us the 2hrs back when we got there and we did fly Palmair which wasn't bad just needed some extra festive feeling or entertainment on board.(Wished we had taken DS's and activitiy books)The transfer was quick and easy with festive music but rep could have given a bit more info at this time to prepare us (other reps better informed us at destination) All in all the rides were good with no long queues you just have to be sensible and pick best activity then go back when queue has gone, no restriction on how many rides. Same with the restaurant just choose a quieter time. There was a nice warm wooden Tepee Tent serving hot drinks and unlimited gingerbreads (no having to dip into your pockets for money like other more commercialised destinations seemed to be) The main thing was SANTA was very realistic 5 mins sleigh ride out into the woods just the four of us, he knew the kids names and the elf helped him out with the wish lists, the gifts were lovely wooden traditional toys that the kids love and will treasure for ever. Try to remember most people only seem to write a review when they were unhappy but that is probably a small minority which is why I have taken the time and effort to write this to hopefully help others make a decision, so hope this has helped!

Just come back from a day trip to lapland there was eight of us 5 kids and 3 adults. after a slight delay with the plane we were on our way got to the airport and from then on it was the best day ever the kids loved everything and the best part of the day was the sleigh ride to see santa so i would definatly reccomend to people with little children that it it worth the long day travelling huskeys and reindeers and not forgeting sledging who can ask for more it is in the wilderness but thats the magic
