I had the 10ft 3Metre version on which the line guides got lose very fast.
Having the rod professionally re-ringed would have cost more than the purchase price so sold it as damaged on eBay.

I really liked the fact that this rod packed away into such a small package. This is the only reason I persevered with it.
After the first session, half of the line guides had come loose (they are the glue-on variety). I removed them all, and re-glued them with epoxy (removing the butt ring completely as it was far too close to the reel seat). This improved things a bit.
I later decided to whip on some decent guides, and spent a couple of days doing this. When all the varnish was dry, I gave the line a good pull to test all the guides and the rod snapped about half way up.....not happy.
Don't buy one. There are plenty of alternatives of much higher quality at comparable prices.

A rod like this made with a high quality blank would be a fishermans telescopic nirvana.
Seriously considering getting another one.
