We have had the Ikea Bespara (Whirlpool DWB-b10) for over a month now and it has been excellent. This machine cleans well, dries fine and is very quiet. I knew from our experience at work, where we have an expensive Bosch model, that if you don't pack the items sensibly they will not clean. And this Ikea has performed just as well as that Bosch, and in terms of drying, I would say better. Some plastic items tend to catch water and naturally this is no different from any other brand or model so we place and align those to avoid this. Internally the layout of the racks is good. We have not had any troubles with getting dishes etc to sit well. The controls are along the top edge of the door and we had no difficulty explaining to our young daughter how to use them. The sole issue we had is that the supplied two-wire clamp to hold the drain pipe on to the sink drain didn't perform well; I replaced it with a solid clamp (same as on car radiator hose but smaller diameter) and problem solved. Your plumber will agree the solid clamps are better. Probably the main reason for choosing this over a competitor brand was being able to make it visually fit in with the rest of the Ikea kitchen. It takes a standard Ikea door, the same as the cupboards, which my wife was keen on, and loves. Fitting the door is straightforward, and raising/levelling the machine to fit in to the space was exceptionally easy. Tip: you can fit the door and feet&wheel before the plumber comes. Warranty is 5 years.

I think most of the people that comment are the frustrated ones and that's what online blogging attracts. you're paying for the kitchen not the customer service that why its such a great price. we bought the dish washer and microwave which work awesome! My brother also has a beautiful kitchen from ikea, they are good quality and look great. maybe people should know what they are getting in to and if you want it all done without getting your own hands dirty too then ikea is not for you but I myself take pride in knowing I helped design it and put it together, also the price helps:)

Ive had it 9 months and dishes were never really clean. Now ive noticed that it will not drain. It was the simplest and cheapest new unit out there. It only cost $199 new. However my old kenmore leasted 25 years and this pos leadred less than one year. Ikea has gone to china.

I've bought the IKEA DWHB 10 in 2008 and have used it for more than 3 years on a daily basis (often more then twice a day), and I found nothing to complain about. It is still working, nothing has broken, no rust, no defects... I'm not especially enthusiastic about dish-washers, but I could not agree to with the other 2 reviews here. I bought it, it fits my expectations, and it still works.

As previous reviewer said, it is very unpredictable whether it works or not. In my opinion it is absolute rubbish. I have kept my old Bosch dishwasher and once my utility room is built, I'll be dragging my dishes out there to wash. I am absolutely sick of having to re-do the dishes and cutlery by hand. Do not buy one of these!

Changed a slimline Bosch for this Whirlpool DWH-B10 as it is the machine recommended by Ikea for their kitchens & was priced in line with Currys etc so it made sense (also the Bosch was unreliable).
Unfortunately it doesn't wash - the same problem as other reviewers. If you use anything other than premium tablets it is completely hopeless & even with these it is unpredictable. 5 or 6 washes will be great then 2 or 3 terrible. It has even coated glasses with crud when all it has in it the bottom are 6 soup bowls!

The machine is $799 not $199
The machine is a Whirpool not a clone and is made in Turkey not China.
