I wish I had read reviews before purchasing from them. Ordered an item a week ago and it has been radio silence. Nothing to let me know the status of my order. Never again!

Ordered clothing on 24th July and 31 days later showed delivered on tracking but wasn't delivered to me.they sent out a repeat order to be told on 1st October I'd signed for delivery still got no items...I have notified the company I've got cctv of both dates proving I've had no delivery. I asked them for the name of their courier company and they said they have their own couriers accordingto my order dhl were supposed to be delivering my order.their solution is to offer me 60%of my original costs because they are out of pocket..IM ALSO OUT OF POCKET everything I've contacted the company I've been dealt with by a different rep. ABSOLUTELY DISGUTED

Thanks TJs 4 generations of us have shopped with you .Loved the grotto as a kid in the 50's. You always had the best display. Still have a photo of us on your sleigh. Good luck in new premises

Ordered 3 shirts online. Waited 2 weeks and still not arrived. Got on touch with tj hughes and was told they are out of stock, please be patient they are worth waiting for. This company should not be taking money off people for items they dont have

ordered a pair of trainers(first order from them) in size 11 tj hughes sent me a size 8/12. now they want me to pay p+p to return for a refund!. so they make the mistake and the buyer pays for their mistake and ignored my emails asking why I should be out of pocket for their mistake/incompetence a disgusting company in every aspect.

purchased a garden furniture set and it got delivered without any fixings, after a numerous amount of phone calls a month later still no fixings so decided to get my own fixings

Horrible food standards. Took 20£ trying to serve hot food, horrible taste of macrone cheese, 3 yr old said "my vomitibg is coming" rubbish quiche, poorly washed cutlery. Looked around and everyone was having "just coffee", I am sure they knew food standard!!! Don't eat any food in Glasgow TJ Hughes restaurant......

I placed an order on their website, after a few hours I got an email saying my card has been declined, I rang the bank TJH did have the money, it hadn't been declined, I sent TJH an email with the authorisation code, I have asked for the goods to be dispatched or immediate refund. They haven't answered my email, and if you ring them you won't get through to anyone that will help. Stay well clear of this company.

Placed order online on May 8th, After 3 days was still showing as being sorted/processed, this item was in stock when I placed order and was accepted, money was charged against my card, when I contacted TJ Hughes i was told there was a "Stock Issue" and that they had NO STOCK, then came the battle to get the claim against my card removed after several days and several e-mails this was sorted. These people are clowns SO no more orders from ME, i will also give their stores a MISS. Idiots, you either have stock or you don't.

I purchased 2 single bed sets for TG Hughes in Glasgow. I tried to return them but was refused a refund on one of them as I had opened it. I explained that I had opened it to see if it would match the décor in my room and it had not being used. I admit to not getting the duvet set in the packaging properly as I found it quite difficult to get it back the same way. I would have like to have been told of this policy before purchasing the duvet sets and not after the purchase. I was more than happy to take a credit note but refused.

I have tried to contact the website to track an order I placed on 3rd January. The order still says processing. Cannot find contact details to speak with someone. I have been in local store and told nothing to do with them but given a number fior head office. Still no joy.frustrating and now wanting to cancel order

As an ex store manager and area role, I found the items were either a poor knock off or rejections for more quality retailers. The items I did buy when working there soon broke (this includes clothes, furniture and electrical). Money best spent elsewhere is you want it to last more than the life of goldfish.

Be very careful when ordering from TJ Hughes, they cancel orders without advising the customer that they have done so. I ordered three items on 7th November 2015, two of them were to have been Christmas presents. When they didn't arrive I emailed TJ Hughes on five occasions because as far as I was concerned they had taken payment. It was only when I checked my Paypal account that I found that TJH had cancelled the order. They still haven't advised me of the reason and haven't responded to any of my emails. Very disappointed and will not bother ordering from them again in the future.

Ordered a Juke Box and pair or cordless phones looking at the site you would think it was a reputable online service. No sign of the goods after making several call to the head office where their customer services would not return the calls or follow up on any emails I sent. When I got through to the so called head office the only person with some integrity was the security guard who was taking the the incoming calls as no one else was available. The only good thing is that they take no funds from you credit card until all the goods are shipped the funds are ring fenced by your bank which in my case will take 15days before the money is put back into the account. I will never deal with then again.

I ordered 4 items from this apology of a company on 8 May 2015. I emailed them several times since then to enquire about the progress of the order and was fobbed off with replies such as "The reason for this delay is it has become necessary for stock to be transferred to our Distribution Centre in order to fulfil this order" and "I have emailed the warehouse department to see why your order has not been dispatched." I received an email from them today (almost 4 weeks later!)telling me that my order has been cancelled. No reason was given. PLEASE PLEASE do not place any orders with TJ Hughes.

They sell cheap electricals but the ones I have bought in the past don't last very long. I reckon they are cheap because they are reconditioned or seconds. They are ok for buying anything else from the store, just not electricals.
