Do Not Book Them!

Arrived at 4AM and joined a long queue to leave our keys in what can only be described as a portacabin. Only two people at the desk who seemed in no particular rush to deal with the queue. Luckily, it wasnt cold or raining as most of the 20 minutes queuing was spent out the door with no cover.

After dropping off the keys and going to get our cases, the bus left so we got on the next one and had to wait 20-25 minutes before it departed followed by a 15 minute journey to the terminal. We then got dropped off abut 200 metres around the corner so had to walk with our cases to the terminal.

total time around an hour from parking up to arriving at the terminal. On-site parking is always around 10-15 minutes max!

On our return, we were informed that bus stop 7 or 8 was Airparks. We waited patiently at bus stop 8 for 30 minutes only for a bus to turn up at bus stop 7 with no illuminated signage and just a little sticker on the front window saying airparks. So, we then had to rush to bus stop 7 and join that queue. There wasnt enough room for everyone so we had to wait another 20-25 minutes for the next one which then proceeded to stop at bus stop 8! After a big bun fight with others all trying to get on, we managed to get a seat although did see a couple who had been waiting as long as us not make it on.

We then had the usual 15 minute queue (in light rain this time) to get our keys.

total time around an hour and a half from the bus stop to getting in our car.

We really wish we had paid the extra £20 for on-site parking and will NEVER AGAIN use Airparks.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!

I will actually defend the reception staff, as they were really polite at check in and check out.

When returning to gatwick, myself, my wife and my very tired 4year old daughter were at the front of the queue for bus back to car park. driver pulls up at back and does nothing as people push on to coach, meaning my daughter has to wait another 30mins for next bus. Driver did nothing when I said about the pushing in.

When I finally get to my car, I'm greeted by a massive crack along the top of the windscreen. I complain to the manager who quite frankly couldn't care less. After filling out paperwork and being told to email customer relations, my daughter refuses to get in the car as she panicking that the windscreen will shatter on her. After 2hours of calming her down and sorting a replacement (which is a weeks wait). I get home.

After emailing airparks, they basically said there is no way of proving it's there fault and won't investigate it (at my request). Their terms say they will pay out damages if it's proven. Well how can I prove it if I wasn't there and they can't be bothered to check their cameras etc.

So now I'm £80 out of pocket. With their attitude, a member of their staff could hit your window with a hammer and get away with it!

Keep far away from gatwick airparks is my advice!!!!

Simply Awful

Dreadful experience. Picked up car to find that the stereo unit would not work but required the security code to be entered indicating that at some point the battery had been disconnected. I telephoned one of your receptionists to ask for an explanation. I was given some ridiculous story about a flat battery caused by electrical interference from the aircraft and that the car had required to be jump started to move it to the collection area. Notwithstanding the absurdity of suggesting that aircraft can discharge a battery, if the car had been jump started to simply move it 100m, then the battery would still have been flat when we collected it. The car had certainly not been driven any distance to fully charge the battery and it stared first time when we collected it. The car had an MOT two days later and the garage found no fault with the battery. I suspect that the staff used our car battery to jump-start another car and this caused the problem.

Also, the transfer from the airport to the car park took forever. Waited 20 min for the bus to appear (in that time other car parks had 2 buses arrive)and then the bus whent from North terminal to Sounth terminal to dropp off departing passengers before heading to the car park. A 10 min journey took 30 minutes. They need more buses.

Choose Your Attitude

We used airparks Gatwick due to the deal my wife gets from her works, we arrived nice and early, and greeted well by the attendant, nothing seemed to much trouble, explained everything really well, I stayed by the car unloading the bags whilst the wife went inside to book in the car.

WIFE CAME BACK AND SAID TALK ABOUT ATTITUDE, there were two female receptionists my wife got the older grumpier one who clearly has not been on any customer service courses, was damn right rude, said pity she was not served by the other lady who had a better attitude.

WE were collected promptly and dealt with efficiently. Shame about Cruella De-Ville, otherwise everything would have been better marked, sorry guys the old trout let you down.

Not Service As Sold

Sitting in the 'every 20 mins'buss full of angry customers because they say they only go when they are full. I think some people will miss their flights.

There is a reason why they are cheap. Avoid!

Never Again Will I Ever Use Airparks

This was the first time I used airparks and never again, as I arrived to my car it just occurred to me that I should check the car before I leave. I was horrified to see that there were a number of scratches, so I called a member of staff who then took photos and gave me an email address to where i should make a complaint. As I was waiting for the member of staff to finish, I was so mortified to see the way the members of staff driving the cars. SPEEDING AND CONSTANT HORNING. That was not a good sign as customers think that they have left their cars in good hands. After I made a my complaint it took Airparks two weeks to reply and also they denied any damage that they had caused and didn't want to accept any responsibility. I felt very angry and let down as I thought I had left my car in safe hands but obviously not. The drivers for the company are animals, I don't think that they would drive their own cars like the way I saw them.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Oh dear, wish I'd seen these reviews before I used this awful company. Also wish I could give zero stars!

Well, my car has suffered the same appalling handling as so many others on this review site, and it's the usual story - car left with them for a week, returned and picked the car up late at night, it was dark so we couldn't see the damage their driver had done to the rear of my car, therefore we couldn't report it until it was spotted the next day.

As we had booked Airparks thru Holiday Extras, it was to them that we directed our complaint and got the depressingly expected reply - 'nothing we can do, you left without reporting the damage blah blah'.

They did however add the following lie:

'As a company Airparks take pride in the way they look after customers and their vehicles and they are committed to do their best at all time...' Hahahahaha!!!! I think that line was written by Pinnochio!

If you DO want your car wrecked while you're on holiday, then use this company - customer service guaranteed!

Airparks Meet And Greet Parking

Airparks Meet and Greet parking - Similar problem - car collected and delivered OK. Number plate and spot light cracked, didn't notice immediately as number plate and been wedged back to hide problem.

More concerning, missing deisel. On board Trip was 129 miles left to run when they collected the car on return 82 miles, they should have done max 8 miles, so someone took a galleon of fuel, not enough to make a big issue, but at about £7.50 per car, someone is making money.

Have phoned and written to Airparks Meet and Greet parking who are not surprisingly denying responsibilty

Scratched And Filthy

I booked online with airparks for the 'meet and greet' service at Gatwick. I paid extra to have my car valeted whilst in their care. My car came back with deep scratches on the bonnet and it had not been cleaned, in fact, it was absolutely filthy. After 3 emails complaining I was refunded the money for the valet but they denied that they had caused the scratches and I did not receive an apology. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.
