We booked our tickets through Theme Park Tickets Direct three weeks ago and we have received no tickets. They have taken the money from our account. They seem to have gone into Administration/liquidation. It was paid for on Visa debit card, how can we get our money back? We can't get hold of anyone on their telepone number or on their website. Does anyone know how we can get our money back?

hi there we bought our tickets from themepark tickets direct back in june we have just returned from our trip but had to purchase tickets elsewhere are we were told they would not be despatching any just looked at our account and a full refund has been paid to us into our bank.

I purchased these tickets from this website back in early June as they were recommended in the FLORIDA BRITS GUIDE ... worried when they never arrived and was told they would be dispatched 14 days before departure (a lie !!) then received an email ... no apology or anything saying they have gone into liquidation !!! but their website continued to operate ...why !!!??? paid on debit card money built from hard work and savings so was told NO REFUND but have checked and as it is a VISA debit there is some hope of a refund but NOT before I go away ... we have had to borrow the money as we travel in 2 weeks... contacted Disney and are waiting for their response as they were one of DISNEY's official agents... no luck with Universal but ORLANDO TICKET DEALS were really helpful and sympathetic and replaced those tickets at a very discounted rate ...THANK YOU ...... also registered my disgust with WATCHDOG and Trading Standards ... if we all do this maybe someone out there will listen to us and maybe some recompense for the stress and upset prior to a well earned holiday that is clouded at the moment ........

Hi there, the same has happened to us, we have paid for our tickets and are flying 4 weeks on Sunday to Florida, we paid £820.00 for disney world and universal in total. now they seem to have gone into liquidation and we have received no tickets. we paid on a visa debit card, how do we get proof as our bank need proof from Theme Park Tickets Direct that they have not sent our tickets and are going into liquidation. How did you get this proof as we are trying to use the VISA chargeback sheme. it's so worrying.

I bought my tickets through ThemePark Tickets Direct TWO Weeks ago, only to find today that the company has gone into liquidation, I fly to Disney with my son on Wednesday of next week, no time to purchase more tickets! Luckily I paid with my credit card and it is fairly positive I will be refunded. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL.

I booked tickets for Universal Studios 3 weeks ago after seeing this company as a recommended retailer on the Money Saving Expert website. I called their call center on Monday 9th August 2010 as I became very concerned that the tickets still hadn't arrived. I was informed that the tickets would be posted 1st class that day and I would receive them by Wednesday 11th. When they still didn't arrive, I called again only to get an automated message telling me that the company was no longer trading and no tickets would be sent out. All this 2 DAYS before i'm due to fly out! What a cheek - they obviously knew they were never going to send the tickets when they took my money!!! Luckily I paid by credit card, so i'm hoping to get a refund from my credit card company.

We ordered £900 worth of tickets in early July,after two weeks we hadnt received them so i rang them and was informed they didnt post them out until seven days before travel!!! Yesterday i received an email saying the company had ceased trading and we wouldnt be getting them.We travel in 3 weeks time.

we had an email last night telling us that the company had ceased trading a week before we fly. we have been up all night worrying as we paid with a visa debit card and thought we would never get the money back!! we spent £1464 with this discraceful company. we save hard all year for our holiday for this to happen, its taken the excitement away for us. anyway after a long, long phonecall to our bank (Santander), we have discovered that we can claim it back as its classed as fraud as we have never recieved the tickets.As the company had no intention of supplying the tickets as they must have known they were going into administration for a while. apparently we will receive a disclaimer form to fill in then recieve the money back in 7 to 10 days. please please try with your bank there is hope for our money back. hope this helps some people x

I booked my tickets for Disney and Universal BEFORE reading these reviews and started to get a little concerned that they had still not arrived 2weeks later,although tickets which I booked through Travel republic.com for other parks had arrived by recorded delivery 2 DAYS later. I receicved an email telling me they ceased to trade and contact credit card company for a refund! Thankfully this is the first time I have used a credit card, normally I would have used a debit card but on the advice of Martin Lewis chose to use credit card. I just HOPE and PRAY I do recieve my £1300 refund and source some other way and means to purchase more tickets. This is at a time my family should be looking forward to their holiday,not worrying and stressing out!! This has put a black cloud over our up and coming holiday which we have saved for,for a long time..I only wish their internet site had been shut down before now to stop unsuspecting customers falling into their trap. :-(

Booked tickets for Disney and Universal Studios at the end of July for our holiday in September but got an email yesterday telling us they could not fulfil our order and to contact our bank. We booked with a debit card so we are not covered by them. My friend booked tickets after us for Universal yet they received theirs!!!Now we are £1400 out of pocket(which we can't afford) 1 month before we travel. This company is part of Keith Prowse so I hope they will honour our tickets! I only found out recently that this company is based half a mile from where I live in Belfast. They're still taking orders for tickets on their site so STAY AWAY!

Just been e-mailed from a "call centre" saying that the company has ceased trading! Bloody great but unlike some on here, we still have time to purchase other tickets, I feel for those who will be left without any.
I'm hoping that as the tickets were booked on a Credit card a full refund will be made, here's hoping!!!

On others advice I'm off to American AttractionTix.

we were left a message on our answer phone to ring and got an automated message saying they had ceased trading and they couldn't issue any tickets and to contact your card company for a refund. Thank goodness we paid with our mastercard.

We are going to Florida next week and paid for these tickets two months ago..THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!!!!!!

BEWARE!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEMEPARK TICKETS DIRECT!!

THANKFULLY WE MANAGED TO GET OUR TICKETS AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS AND EMAILS.....HAD TO CONVINCE THEM WE WERE LEAVING TO FLORIDA A MONTH EARLIER TO ENSURE WE GOT THE TICKETS IN TIME. WE BOUGHT THE TICKETS IN MAY GOT THEM LAST WEEK, THANKFULLY WE DON'T GO TO FLORIDA FOR A MONTH SO WE HAVE GOT OUR TICKETS IN PLENTY OF TIME.....IT HELPED TO MENTION THAT I WAS GOING TO CALL INTO THEIR OFFICE IN BELFAST THOUGH! Absolute Chancers,
BTW Theme Park Tickets Direct is part of Seatem Attraction Tickets Limited.
Their Limited Company accounts are overdue by 9 months to companies registry.....the company may have cash flow / liquidity problems.....BEWARE you may see this company in liquidation soon!!!!!

Do not buy tickets from THEME PARK TICKETS DIRECT..Due to go to Orlando at weekend and ordered theme park tickets in June at what seemed very good prices.Started getting worried a couple of weeks ago when they were unable to give a firm date for delivery of tickets.After several phone calls over the last few days including having to wait in a queue on the phone for 1/2 an hour this morning we have been told that they cannot supply the tickets we have ordered and that we will get a full refund.Not convinced that we will receive this but as paid on credit card and company have admitted they cannnot supply tickets hope credit card will step in to pay.A memeber of staff actually admitted today that we should take our money as we will not get our tickets!Very disappointing to be let down like this.Have managed to get Disney tickets from local Disney Store who were very helpful and prices pretty competeitive.Ordered Universal tickets from Floridatix who were also very helpful and professional and will get these before we leave.Hope this helps someone and stops anyone else having to go through the nightmare we have been through the last few days.

Booked tickets at the start of June 2010. After contacting customer services last week I was told that they could not supply the "hard" tickets for Disney but would I accept an e-voucher to which I agreed. Told yesterday that email would be sent that day. Told this morning that there had been some problems but that email voucher would be sent today. Received a phone call at 4.40pm today to be told that they could not supply me with the e-voucher either and they would refund my money in full. WE FLY TOMORROW! and no tickets for Disney. VERY DISAPPOINTED. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!

My parents purhcased theme park tickets from their website to be used on our holiday to Florida, for £1600. We are due to leave soon and we have not yet recieved anything. They called and emailed them constantly but any hope of the tickets arriving or even a refund were crushed, and just 5 days before we fly out. My mum has been waiting pretty patiently for the tickets over the past few weeks but their false promises have pushed her to the edge and she has now been wrestling with the company for hours. Ithas really been putting alot of strain on what should be a time of excitement and fun and we are fed up with it. My dad will be complaining to Watchdog VERY soon, so hopefuly it will not be a problem to anyone ever again. NEVER go with this lame excuse for a company. They're just a bunch of penny pinching liars! Have a nice day <3

Exactly the same thing has just happened to me and my husband we were due to take our daughter there for her 18 ... now we have to borrow from everyone to purchase the tickets again so these have ended up costing us nearly &pound;3,500 ...robbing,thieving liars ..... if you go to WATCHDOG I am there with you

Never will we buy from Theme Park Tickets Direct.co.uk again! Please be warned that when you buy your tickets on-line the website does not state when you will eventually get them!!! Having bought our tickets back in May 2010 and the money was taken from our account the same day... we have however, only just had our tickets arrive today 7th August 2010 and we fly out on the 14th August. Had Visa not been involved I'm not sure when we would have got them.

Having bought on-line, the recorded delivery messages all sound great and the congratulations your tickets will be sent once you have bought them is great too but beware... I thought they would arrive a.s.a.p however, having sent several e-mails to the Company and phoned them too, each person told me a different story as to when they will arrive, I was even told "you can pick them up in orlando if they don't come" great! but thats not what we have paid for.

Not only does the company keep you money and gain interest on it, you can't cancel your tickets because the company will keep 10% of your transaction amount. A nice way to earn money! Oh and if they don't arrive you will only get 80& of your money back... Nice!!


I involved Visa, in this transaction deal with theme park ticket direct, rest assured that if you can pin the company down to provide you with written evidence of when they intend to deliver your tickets, and then fail to do so within the time scale, you can claim for charge back if you paid using a visa debit card. The company will refund your money and then chase the theme park company for their money because they have broken their contract with you.

Additionally our theme park tickets arrived but our kids eat free cards didn't. When we rang to ask where they were, we were told they didn't have any and havn't done for some time... Ask yourself this? why can you still buy them on-line today... trade description? Why didn't they inform us of this ages ago? Why did they not refund our money when sending our park tickets on? and finally why does it take a week to refund our money especially when they have have it for two months?

Have they been upfront and honest? No not in our experience!

Please make up you mind if you want the uncertainty of using this comapany... I have since ordered tickets from Attraction Tickets.com and they were fab and prompt, less than a week!

This company are DREADFUL, would NEVER recommend to anyone. You pay, but don't get your tickets. Customer service dire. Fight for refund which could take forever. Then you are so close to going on holiday with no theme park tickets. Totally unacceptable.

I am so surprised that this Company hasn't need hauled up on trade description? I'm amazed that they can send e-vouchers when they claim to provide real tickets??? I'm glad we arn't the only ones with a bad experience!

Am I the only person who has received my tickets?
I ordered mine on line and with four weeks to go happy to and chose standard post. Low and behold they arrived registered post in a couple of days. What I like is that they're real ones not e tickets. In view of all the other comments I hope that they're genuine, I'll find out no doubt at the park gates.
