Booked a hotel and had free cancellation. Cancelled shortly after. Hotel sent credit in U.S currency with a lower amount almost 3 months later. Bookings.com agents said that this would be credit back by Bookings.com and that we do not have to be concerned. When credit was made Bookings.com agents claimed that this could happen and that they are not responsible for this. I used the 'free cancellation' option when booking, cancelled the reservation before the deadline, and was charged full amount of the 3-night stay. There seem to be serious issues with their web site, which in my case resulted in the same booking being duplicated, the second one not visible on my side. Their Customer Service Team is not helpful at all. “hotel was destroyed from hurricane”

I booked a two day stay at the Days Inn at Niagara Falls for four people. Unfortunately I used Booking.com. They advertised a breakfast for $1.00 (Canadian dollar) per person per day. I paid an additional $8.00 CAD for each of us for each of the two days. I booked an apartment in Turin. It said no cancellation fee but when I booked I was charged 93 Euro (30% of the total)immediately in case I cancel. I contacted Booking.com and they said its stated in the cancellation terms and conditions but it isn't. This is a very deceitful practice. We booked, paid and were confirmed the booking. One hour before arriving we called to advise of our arrival. We were told the booking was for the next day I advised that we had a confirmed date and the transaction passed on our credit card. I had booked Tanni Jubbar Heights In Kotgarh from 29 Sep to 01 Oct through Booking.com. To my horror I found it was a bare minimum Home Stay with limited facilities. This is a waist of time, you are better off going directly to the hotel or AAA. if you stay at an hotel that smelled liked urine and you have complained with the actual owner of hotel, and owner approves your refund, booking.com will have you wait a month to process your refund, they will ask for proof of statement and credit card, and supposedly they have to make sure the owner is ok with the refund (when owner specifically agreed in refunding you). We booked one night at Tampa as we were visiting Busch Garden through Booking.com. We booked two king quadruple rooms. On arrival we were given two rooms but only one double bed in each room.
