RelaxView 5.0 Dental Pack

I received this item yesterday. It took me less than 30 seconds to decide I wanted to return them. The whole package from start to finish, is very, very poor. Actually, even the service from the website was bad.

The packaging is very poor, and didn't set me at ease after the item's hefty pricetag. Upon opening the unsealed box I was presented with the glasses surrounded by little plastic bags - some of which were dirty and felt pre-used. The bags contained the few accessories for the item.

Upon picking up the glasses, it was clear the build quality was awful. They felt cheap (there is a difference between lightweight and cheap) and badly produced. They are very uncomfortable to wear, with the plastic arms very tight on the sides of my head.

I STILL gave them a chance and plugged them into my PS3 to test. The picture was too low (had to keep looking down uncomfortably) had lots of ghosting like a badly tuned TV (even though was RCA input without tuning) and I could barely distinguish if the pictures were in colour or black and white. The focus was out, and there are no adjustments for these problems.

The unit doesn't plug in to much without extra adaptors - give up hope of plugging it into an Ipod without extra purchases and research.

I'm afraid I can't report on the sound, as I gave up long before plugging the headphones in.

These are getting returned ASAP, and I'll purchase an alternative.

Distraction with video glasses

After reading so much about it on the media, I finally decided to give video glasses a try.

This did not start as a coincidence. It all dates back to one dreaded appointment at the dentist. My dentist, based in London, decided that the little work he was going to perform on me was going to be divided in three stages. So, this is how it begins.

The first time he offered me video glasses, I said NO. I just did not trust them and I wanted to be totally aware and in full control of what was going on inside my mouth. Well, this resulted in an awfully long and boring experience which leads to my appointment number 2. I decided to give these video glasses a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. My dentist told me this was called a Dental Pack, and it was composed by a very light video glasses and a portable dvd player. The dvd I watched in that occasion was an old live concert of Coldplay. What totally surprised me about these video glasses was the quality of the image and that the communication with my dentist was not interrupted at all (which was my biggest fear at that moment). The sound is totally adjustable and if you don ' t want to miss anything you can also place only one headphone in your ear. By my third appointment, I decided I wanted more (more video glasses, not more dental appointments). So, he gave me the website of this company.

The company is called relaxView and is located in The Netherlands. The supply all countries within Europe and the shop covers the most important languages. In-flight entertainment with video glasses

When I got the package I charged the battery and later I tried the video glasses with my new Nokia N96 phone. I had there a few videos and an old movie. The quality of the image is better than I had expected and the battery lasted the whole of the movie and more. To be honest these video glasses will not replace the TV, but I have to say this may come handy for my next 20-hour trip to South America. I hate iPod ' s small screens and I certainly do not like the new touch screen in the planes that never ever work properly!. With these video glasses I can have full control of what I want to watch.
