Save your money and use almond oil available from most supermarkets for £1 for a 100 ml bottle. Use under normal shaving gel for a silky smooth shave even on a tough beard like mine.

Overall King Of Shaves Advanced Shaving Oiln Is Po
Overall King of Shaves Advanced Shaving Oiln is poor. Purchased this product as I used the shaving oil (although now i use baby oil with 'flavoured' oil essences) so i thought 'why not'. It is stylish....it DOES look good!
I find that it is difficult to control and I never seem to know where the blade actually IS....
the poor 'control' aspect is in relation to the twin poles/y-fork design; whereas with a single-pole design it is relatively easy to tell where the blade is (i.e. at the end of your finger...d'oh!), as you have to place 2 fingers near the head of the razor it all just seems to be more difficult.... Bad points are poor handling, cost, razors dont last very long.
I will be sticking to my faithful mach3 for a while....

When Nothing Else Worked, King Of Shaves Advanced
When nothing else worked, King of Shaves Advanced Shaving Oil has helped my poor neck and chin from suffering when I shave.
There are a few different versions available of KOS Shaving Oil.
My favourite is definitely the Kinexium Advanced (This has been replaced by the superb Kinexium ST). This little pump-action bottle is slightly more expensive than the dropper-bottle style oils but has a nicer smell and personally I feel it gives me a closer shave.
It is a spicy/woody smell and has compatriate products all within the same King of Shaves range.
The oil is easy to use and comes in a handy bottle that aims to give you 100+ shaves. I've never counted but I guess it's around that amount.
It is perfect for sensitive skin as that's what I have and I've never had a problem!
I won't go into the details of what it contains and where you can get it - I buy from Tesco or Wilkinsons as they regularly have it on special!
The Alpha Oil (Regular), the AlphaOil with Menthol, the AlphaOil Active Skin Cleansing Shaving Oil & the AlphaOil Dry Skin Control Shaving Oil all cost around £3.69(rrp) each for 15ml
The Kinexium ST Shaving Oil costs around £4.99(rrp) again for 15ml
BUT you can buy them substantially cheaper by shopping around, Boots, Tesco and Wilkinsons all regularly have offers on some of the KOS range.
Alternatively you can shop on their website and save around 10% on the RRP.
Personally I love the King of Shaves range, it is a little expensive but in my experience shaving demands the best you can afford, otherwise you end up with a sore face and neck. They also do some wonderful 'face preparation' goodies - check out the website www.shave.com
