“No refund despite paying cancellation 'insurance'”

Not giving refund despite taking out cancellation cover. Only a credit note I will not need. Please somebody advise me best place to complain to. At first I thought easy, go straight to the FCA but then of course it's not a proper insurance product. Outrageous how they have the terms and conditions as a web link and therefore on your receipt you can't see what terms and conditions you actually signed up for only the most recent.

“Do not use this company to book”

Lots of people are having trouble with refunds following cancellation, even if you have paid the cancellation waiver fee. They are quoting a force majeure to get out of refunding customers. Please bear in mind that none of the hotels or car parks have yet to be paid by Holiday Extras, so this company is just keeping customers money for themselves. They will only issue you with a voucher which might not suit your needs, if you do not wish to book again. If you do not wish to have a voucher you should be entitled to the refund as per the terms and conditions when you made the booking. They change the terms and conditions to suit themselves. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

“Cancellation Waiver a total waste of time”

I needed to cancel my week of parking booking on the day because my mother was dying. My cancellation waiver payment was a total waste of money as you can only cancel up to 24 hours before. I will not buy this again

“avoid this company”

Booked airport escape lounge at stanstead airport. No advice given on holiday extras information about check what time you can check in and pass through security. Arrived at airport 4 hours before flight looking forward to using the lounge. Check in only opened 1 and 1/2 hours before flight so by time through check in and security (which took an age) only 15 minutes to boarding. Contacted holiday extras and apparently it's not their fault. If you dont show, you lose your money. Poor sevice and understanding on their part.It's the airlines fault for only opening check in 1 1/2 hours prior to flight. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. WASTE OF MONEY!!

“Miles from Terminal”

What you are not told when booking transfer to the terminal at Luton Airport is that you have at least a ten minute walk to the actual terminal with all your luggage, and when it is peeing down its no fun. The coach journey from your car is quicker than the walk when you are dropped off I have advised them they need to make this very obvious to all passengers especially those with any disability at point of booking. I would not have booked this airport parking if it was made clear to me, and is a clear breech of misleading advertising for trading standards to address, they will be advised. Very disappointed - you don't need this hassle when your about to try and book in and catch a flight or upon return panicking to get the next coach. -Not Good

“Avoid this company”

I would not recommend this service to anyone. Due to the weather conditions last week, my flight was cancelled 7 hrs before take off. I emailed Holiday Extras, but got no response until the next day. They then said due to the type of parking I had booked, I could not get a refund. I have lost £40 in parking fess for two days parking, that I did not use and I am furious. This company is a license to print money and should not be able to do this. It must have still made a fortune last week even though it did not provide a service. AVOID this company.

having used this company i would recommend you avoid them like the plague the are only interested in taking your money. Any problems/issues that deny & try to fob you off. I would have given them minus 5 stars if able to. they are no more than just brokers & take commission from any company you book wth so best to go DIRECT

“RIP OFF COMPANY”

Booked Holiday Extras at Southend Airport for the weekend. Arrived at barrier at appropriate car park and it spat out my ticket. Didn't realise at the time that it should have shown my registration plate. On return I input the ticket and couldn't exit before paying £90. I had already paid £48 online to park. I tried ringing the number quoted but couldn't get hold of anyone. As this was late at night I paid the £90 to get out and thought I would deal with the problem the next day. I rang the number at Southend who said I had to speak to the person dealing with these situations. I rang the mobile number given 3 times but each time was asked to leave a voicemail, which I did and no one got back to me. After a week I send an email as advised on their website, again no reply, so a week later I sent a letter to the main office which I sent "signed for". It was received because there is a signature on Royal Mail. To date 10 days later I have still had no response. If this is their customer service then it leaves a lot to be desired. In effect I have paid £138 for two days parking at Southend Airport. I used them by mistake as I usually use the official parking sites. The price was no cheaper than the official site (I checked for a forward date just to see). Do not use this Company. Funnily enough I have since read reviews of others experiencing the same problem with no communication from Holiday Extras whatsoever!!!!

“meet and great dodgy company”

booking the holiday was easy and good, the meet and great company they use Maple Manor at Birmingham are dodgy!! bumped car causing damage/didn't clean car when I had paid for service/had to pay to get out of car park still and other staff pretended they didn't work for maple manor so they didn't have to help. doesn't reflect well on holidayextras partnering with these. complaint dept were helpful in the end

“Impossible to get hold of”

I booked online a couple of months in advance for the Sat-Sun (1night) and it cost me £37. Then on the day of my trip I saw my parking was only for the Saturday. I normally triple check my booking but I appreciate this could have been human error so I called up to extend my booking and pay the extra. I got through to a voicemail saying it's opening hours were Mon-Fri and to call holiday extras instead, which I did. They too had a number which was only available Mon-Fri. As my booking said that if I parked for longer than booked it would charge me the premium rate (bearing in mind this is short stay car park so would be extortionate) I had no choice but to rebook again at a different car park costing me an extra £55 as it was so short notice. If you have a carpark that is open 24hrs you should be reachable 24hrs! Will not book with again.

Wish I'd read these reviews! Just tried to cancel my parking as I found going via the Heathrow website it was half the price for a better service and couldn't. The small print says you're only allowed to cancel up to midnight, two days before you go, even if you take out the cancellation waiver. What was the point of paying £1.49 for a cancellation waiver if I couldn't cancel! Phoned customer service and although she was nice, she was "computer says no". She wouldn't refund even half the price of what it was on the Heathrow website and says there was nothing she could do. Won't be parking through them again, will go through the Heathrow website in the future.

“rip off company”

Booked parking at Quickpark at Dublin airport thought i was in Quickpark site so booked I did not realise prices were in sterling until it was too late I didnt mind as according to their site if I saw it cheaper i would get a full refund Quick park site was 40% cheaper so i sent all the details and photo of advert This did not qualify as it was in euros As you can see from other reviews this company is rotten and is preying on people just reading their advert It says it is up to 25% cheaper than competitors all lies BEWARE DO NOT USE

“Poor customer service”

Be very careful using this service. I booked airport parking at Newcastle and the find it for free is a total RUBBISH and very misleading. I found the product cheaper from aph and they would not refund as they said was discounted hey ho FIND IT CHEAPER RUBBISH USE APH MUCH BETTER AND VERY HELPFUL STAFF WILL NOT BE USING HOLIDAY EXTRAS AGAIN AS THIS HAPPENED WITH ANOTHER MEMBER OF STAFF I WORK WITH STAY CLEAR !

To be fair all went well with booking and parking at long term parking at Luton but arriving back we had to pay £21.00 due to outstanding payment????? To get out of Carpark and no idea why as within the times ....and dates were correct. So it is a ripoff and 2 cars behind had the same problem so if you get a deal make sure you have money for EXTRAS emailed and rang them but no one has got back to me so I won't be using them again for sure

“Gatwick Parking Trick”

When you book they do not tell you until you have paid that despite ticking the NORTH box the parking is in the SOUTH car park - just what you want after an overnight flight. Costs you £3.50 to cancel a useles booking as they have not advised you of this - trading standards here I come...

“Avoiddddddd!!!!!!”

Brand new BMW 7 series scratched when it was returned, they said we handed it in like that which was not true. So we ended up paying 135£ for the parking and another 2000£ for the scratches!!!!!

At least they responded to you Despite emails to CEO they just ignored it They scratched my X6 and it cost me 3000 dollars I am not sure there contracted drivers are even qualified to drive in UK as their contractor refused to validate Their contractor was Maple Manor

“Previously good but failed us this time”

We booked the Airport Inn at Gatwick with parking as we have done many times before with Holiday Extras. When we arrived this time the hotel had no knowledge of our booking. The hotel phoned Holiday Extras who admitted that the confirmed booking with the Britannia Hotals group had never been confirmed. The hotel were very helpful and everything was sorted but when Holiday Extras says you have a Confirmed Booking by email it may not actually have been confirmed as they use faxes to book hotels. Next time we may phone the hotel to confirm the booking

Made booking, paid in advance and realised afterwards that I had booked a day short. My fault. Holiday extras reminded me of this and left me to try and sort with Airport direct to my cost. Booked out of loyalty even though could have got same deal through work. My fault but not impressed with attitude.

“Will not use again”

We booked parking at Sheraton hotel Heathrow and an overnight stay on return from our holiday to Australia and Hong Kong through Holiday Extras.There was no sign of our booking when we turned up to leave the car on 18 Dec but the staff at hotel were very helpful and thought confirmation may have been delayed although we payed for everything a number of weeks in advance. Luckily I had a receipt so we left the car. On our return (13 Jan) there was still no sign of our booking in the hotel system although we had a booking ref and a receipt showing full details and the amount we paid. This was very distressing after a long flight we just wanted to relax and get our heads down before driving home the next morning. Thanks to hotel staff we were able to book in eventually and no extra charge was made as they could see how much we had paid through Holiday Extras from our receipt. We had been all the way to Australia and Hong Kong without a hiccup and the only problems we incurred were with this company . Needless to say we will not be using them again.

“WORST SERVICE EVER AVOID AVOID AVOID”

I booked with Holiday Extras for a one week Meet & Greet Valet Service at Stansted Airport Dec 21st through to Dec 28th. Absolute chaos of a company to deal with. My flight from Egypt back to Stansted landed at 01.30 AM and I proceeded to go to collect my car to be told it was still in the long stay car park 4 miles away. There solution as they were short staffed was for me to go get it myself! Management on duty would not come and see anybody in the office waiting and I was then told to get on a bus or get a taxi to the car park. The temperature outside was minus 2 and once I located my car in the car park had a further 15 minutes to defrost it. I paid £49.99 for a service that I didn't receive and the staff were unhelpful. This company clearly does not know what Customer Service is. To date I have only had one reply to say the matter is being looked in to. As far as I am concerned there is nothing to look in to my car was not there, you failed on your services you pride yourself so highly on and I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
