I Have Owned Many Computers Over The Years, but The

I have owned many computers over the years, but the VGN4XH/q beats all including desktops in speed etc,the boot up is very fast due to ssd drives, the led backlight is amazing vibrant colour very clear,it is expensive, but i beleive you get what you pay for,and this makes it wel worth the price tag,the only downside is the battery life approx 1 hour, but it is powering an 18,4 screen, and as its a desktop replacement you would run it on mains power anyway.

i would highley recomend this to anyone who wants a serious good machine that handles all you throw at it,also its full 1080p HD and has a Blue Ray Recorder, brilliant machine.

The Sony Vgn-aw11xu, I Use This Laptop Every Day F

The Sony VGN-AW11XU, I use this laptop every day for work. The screen is very good. The space bar on the keyboard is a bit hit and miss. You can press the space bar in certian areas (Right hand corner does it for me) and sometimes this doesn't register and you end up with joinedupsentences. It might just be my laptop.

I also find that if you're RDP'ing onto another server the volume controls on the keyboard don't work, so you end up having to flick between the local laptop and the server to turn itunes up and down. Probably not a problem for most users, but the touch sensitive buttons can override the RDP, why not the sound controls?

The touch sensitive controls at the top of the keyboard are great, although when working I do sometime trigger the AV mode which results in a banner appearing at the top of the screen. I haven't figured out how to disable these yet.
