Bought from Asda 8 years ago. Never had a problem with it. Still going strong, no dead pixels and decent quality (until you compare with a newer TV). All in all, was a great purchase (£400 I think)

Poor picture quality, the first thing I noticed was the lag when someone moved in the picture, there was a smudging type of effect, a delay in the movement of the features of the faces. A definate 'lag' of signal. The set lasted 4 years before packing up. When I came to switch it on, the picture started to flicker on and off very rapidly, about 3 times a second, it was unwatchable. So I put it off and left it a while. The next day I switched it on again, to just get a blue screen, as though no aeriel was plugged in. I think it should have lasted longer than 4 years. I would not have bought it had I known the piture was so poor.

Stopped working, as others appear to have done. Asda not interested.
I'll never spend more than £50 on an "own" brand product. Shame you cant trust big company like Asda.

ONN 32". After 3 years sound has packed up. Repairer says that it should be straightforward to put right if he could get the part he had identified but as other reviewers say he has found that spares are not available. A costly experience and a big black mark against Asda when considering the risks associated with future purchases.

Not a good news, but my 'ONN'wont turn 'on'for the last few days. Is there something that we all -poor customers- can do, I mean legal pursuit

Got the TV about 3 years ago from Microdirect in silver, connected it to the pc in seconds with a clear vibrant picture, reasonable sound and decent picture quality, no issues with the tv and a price that didn't break the bank

Broke down after 16 months dealers say they cannot get parts from manufacturer. Asda imported these sets they should be accountable for making sure parts are available, how many customers are out there with similar stories.

The Onn 37" (ASDA) OLCD3701 sound quality is appalling, vibrates on average volume - just bought SONY to replace it - as the saying goes ... 'if you buy cheap, you buy twice' ...

No local reputable service agencies were willing to repair the set.
One diligent agency contacted EURAS in desperation (European Standards Agency for engineering, who offer advice and repair tips for TVs, VCRs and other electronic consumer goods).
They stated that neither parts nor information are currently available for the repair of ONN TVs.
My nearly brand new ONN TV now resides in an environmentally friendly skip.
I would advise customers who wish to buy the 26" set or indeed any other ONN TV to get a 3 year Warranty at least.

Cannot beat this value for money as far as I am concerned.
2 scart, hdmi, vga, yprpb inputs, composite video inputs sub woofer out. External speaker jacks.good picture and sound.
Connected to pc very easy and great to watch pc through TV.
Cracking value. Good all round tv.

The Onn 37" OLCD3701 tv was bought from Asda appx April '07 and is their own brand. It was available in two colours, very dark grey or silver. Nice slim design, stands on its own or on a wall bracket. Has a hd connector skt, cant say much more , never tried it, happy with it as it is. We bought this and lost the specs so can't help on this.
Makes a change, cheaper working out best.

Its now around 6 years on and the tv is still good. Its only used occasionally now as a backup tv, has been for the last two years. It now seems very heavy compared to LG we now have. Seems the quality control and soldering etc are a bit suspect on this tv going from other peoples views, paying more does get you more reliable tv.

before buying an electrical item from a big store ( not mensioning any names )firstly find out from the store (if they will tell you )who supplys the item(s) to them , then through them find the manufacturer, and ask if they still make spares for that item , if they dont, dont buy!.
