The Andaz hotel is a bit of a shock from normal hotels in terms of who does what and how. But, this is a good thing. It's a bit of a jump from hotels where you have to go to the porter, he takes your bags and then go to the reception desk - wait in a line etc etc.
Here you get greeted by people walking around who check you in on the move with a hand-held device - mine happened at the bar! Amazing after a bit of a trip. All the rooms are different, so on the various events I've been to there you'll be checked into one room and your mate's room will look different. From the outside you'd expect it to be classical [by the way it was designed by the same guy who did the houses of parliament and the big ben tower], but no, inside you have lighting effects, space and themed places!
Inside the rooms you get complimentary wi-fi, minibar, and films [from digital selection], so for me there was NO nasty check-out surprises.
All in all I saved a lot of time on a high pressured marketing event trip. When you're on a deadline and you want information and to do things here and now, I think the Andaz offers this for a more discerning business traveller!
