The best Thai food for a long time for me since back from my holiday in Bangkok. Very attentive staff and pleasant waitresses.
Children allowed even when busy and very family oriented.
Pontoon on the lake and ideal for summer and functions. Will be back soon.

Excellent, excellent excellent!
I went to the opening night of this new Thai restaurant and although not a big selection of food, the food i did have was absolutely scrumptious! Great service and really friendly staff. I would definitely recommend!

Thai on the River, Watermead is billed as fine dining. The location and setting may be but I thought the food and service was not.
Taking a two year old to the Sunday buffet we were informed they pay half price 5.95 which for half a small bowl of rice, one small chicken wing and a small piece of cake is quite pricey! I spoke to one other member of staff on the way in and she said don't worry just use a small plate it is fine. We then got the bill and were charged 5.95 for a child's portion. A staff member explained this was company policy as they are fine dining well I beg to differ! Rather than listen to my points he seemed to insist on interrupting and telling me how I was wrong and it's company policy, how about customer service and common sense I said! Ended up giving a 3 pound discount, big deal! This is a new restaurant trying to build a reputation so not a great start with us. The way he spoke to me and because of the food we would never go there again. The food didn't even seem authentic its Chinese style and certainly isn't fine dining in my opinion.

Children were charged at 5.95 per head for the Sunday buffet, no matter if they were 2 years old and barely ate a thing! When questioned, I was told it's company policy, how about common sense and customer service? For half a small bowl of rice a small chicken wing and small piece of cake it was overpriced. Billed as fine dining it was not, it was standard Chinese style food billed as Thai food. It was far from Authentic. Go to Lumpini, in my experience it has better service and the food really is Thai! We would never go again!
