I sent an email enquiry to this lot about an Egypt / Jordan / Israel group tour, with a few questions I needed answers to. The tour had what seemed an expensive £3000 price tag after all - I didn't want any surprises. At the time of writing this review I've had 3 emails telling me I'm provisionally booked, don't miss out, blah, blah. But absolutely NO response to my specific queries. If this is their way of doing business and dealing with potential customers, count me out.

Overpriced! We paid £1,000, for 5 nights between two and the hotels and food were awful! The Prima park hotel was small, the Internet didn't work, the bathroom smelled and the buffet was awful. The hotel was also on the outskirts of the city and full of American teenagers, not what we had expected. It was also poorly organised with no one contacting us for pick up and drop off. The only good part was the guide but everything else was terrible. You are much better going to tel aviv for a couple of days and and few doing day tours in Jerusalem. We complained about the cost after the trip and were given no compensations or apology. Stay away from this company they are a rip off.

Just finished the wounderful Anzac tour I took with on the go tours Had a great time thanks to our great tour guide Recep Aydin he had so much knowledge and was wonderful to listen to and learn from. I hope one day to come back and have another wonderful trip around Turkey. It was a great time

We had a great time, we were met reliabley at the airport and were handed over to other guides for different parts of the tour with great efficiency and we saw a huge amount in the time available. Guides were fantastic. My complaint was the felucca "cruise", which I would advise anyone to avoid. The notes say that the felucca sails to Kom Ombo which would give you a glimpse of the unspoilt areas of the Nile and the experience of sailing down a great river - I did it 30 years ago in the opposite direction. The "cruise" consisted of a few hours sailing spread over 2 days stopping at prearranged places one where there was an electrical hook up, one where they always stop for a swim and 2 others no distace away where they stop for lunch and dinner. I do not believe that there was any intention of sailing more than this very short distance; 8-10 miles? The support boat was very poor quality, the shower non-existent and the food also poor. There was too little tea and coffee and it was brewed in cheap thin plastic cups. Unpleasant. We found another support boat with china/glass crockery, a proper shower and in much better repair. However it stopped at exactly the same places. In short not worth it - pay the extra money for the cruiser, our fellow travellers had a ball on the big boat and excellent food.

we had a great time. everyday was cram packed with sites and wonders. never a dull moment the staff were very helpful and if they did not have a answer they would follow it up, and come back to you with the answer. the only ting we have an issue with is that we were not told we could upgrade our travel on the overnight trains to a 2 bed, which we feel is important for all your customers to know before they travel

We booked a holiday with on the go tours, unfortunately something came up 2 weeks after having booked the trip, so we asked on the go of we could move the holiday to next year. We then spent 6 months chasing them, asking them for an up date on the cost to move the holiday. Eventually, they told us, it would cost us an additional 65% to move the holiday. They wouldn't give us a break down of the cost, but told us they went making any profit on moving the holiday . Eventually it transpired that they didn't move the flights (even though we'd asked and been told repeatedly that this was on hand). We had to raise this up to the tour agents boss's boss, before we got a sensible answer& any acceptance they made a mistake. By this time my husband felt if they couldn't organise a tour within 6 month, how could we trust them with our safety. We cancelled the tour and they still charged us 25% of the cost of the holiday to cancel.

I would book with them anytime and recommed there services to anybody.Cherylyn of on the go tour was just delightful over the phone to talk to and sent me email all the time to keep me up dated.Even the last fornight before we went to travel she sent us a tick list to make sure everything was covered.I will be booking with them again for 2015 trip.On the go tour sent me every imformation about the trip before I booked.They told me price and how much deposit and could direct deposit into there account to make payments for the trip so it was all paid well before I left.Thank you On the Go Tours and keep up the good work.

Wow. The On the Go team for the King Tut tour 15/01 - 23/01 rocked, especially our tour guide Waleed Khamouna. He was brilliant, and really turned our group into a family, we were all looking out for each other every opportunity we could! I never thought a tour company could achieve what you guys did, keep it up On the Go tours!!

Egypt Tour: On The Go Tours

I recently did the King Tutankhamen tour with On The Go Tours and had a fantastic time. The tour was really well organised and we managed to take in an extraordinary amount - an all-round Egypt Greatest Hits if you will. Our guide was a qualified Egyptologist and thus incredibly knowledgeable. There wasn't a thing about ancient Egypt that he didn't know!

Highlights of the trip included felucca sailing, the hot-air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, and the incredible Abu Simbel.

I highly recommend On The Go Tours.

I did the On the Go tour for Christmas in Morocco. I found that the organization was extremely disappointing. There were no set rules or guidelines. Everyday we left late because we'd be told to be ready at "about 8:45". Many people would saunter down at 9:00 without being told they needed to be on time next time.

There was a lot of driving on this tour, which was never mentioned in the itinerary.

Our tour guides did a pretty good job. I could tell they were doing their best, but I don't think they'd been properly prepared for the job. I was actually shocked when I found out they both had 5+ years experience. I thought it was their first time.

The emails I sent were also never responded to with the information I had asked for.

I don't think I would recommend On the Go. I would recommend Morocco, however.

My King Ramses trip with On The Go was the best trip I have ever had.
Got to see and do so much and I loved every minute of it.
Felucca sailing was definitely one of the highlights although it would be unfair to say the rest wasn't just as amazing - Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor, hot air ballooning over Luxor, Dahab and everything in between.
Simply fantastic.
Our tour guide - MoMo did a great job and definitely gets thumbs up from me.

Like to say what an exceptional and awesome holiday we had with On the Go Tours in Egypt ( Unplugged 2010). I have travelled before with other tour groups and would like to personally thank Hamada, Moustaffa, Tommy, Shady and Mohammed for there brilliant service and friendly attitude. The guys made our trip a lot of fun as it was very easy for us to mix with them. Their knowledge and background of Egyptian culture was excellent. Will be looking at possibly Russia On the Go tour and an African Safari. I have posted our photos on youtube and our photography blog site we use for business. I just came back from the Road to Jordan tour with On the Go Tours in March and I would highly recommend them and the tour to everyone. All of our guides were knowledgable, friendly and a lot of fun. The tour was fantastic one of the many highlights was the 3 days of snorkeling in Dahab in the Red Sea. Phenomonal. There is a long bus ride from Egypt to Dahab (about 17 hours) but you can book a flight (optional of course) to Sharm that is less than an hour and pay for an extra night in Dahab - totally worth it. I can't say enough good things about this tour. Just remember to take extra money as they tell you up front not all entrance fees are covered and not all meals are either. I will be booking another tour with them next year.

I did the King Ramses 13-day tour with On the Go in Dec '09 and would not recommend them.

The few good points: (i) they pick you up and drop you off at the airport; (ii) the felucca sailing.

The bad points: (i) There were 38 of us on our tour bus and there were 4 other buses full of just as many people making it around 140 people! Way too large for comfort. (ii) The journey to Dahab was a bus ride and a long one at that. The itinerary stated an overnight bus ride which everyone assumed was around 8hrs. But when we got on the bus our guide told us it would be an 18hr ride! Very long. Especially when there were 38 people crammed on there and people were squashed down the back without any room to move - imagine sitting upright for 18hrs! It was clear that On the Go had over-booked. The guide and extra bus driver meanwhile had two seats to themselves and never once offered their extra seat to any of the people on board. On top of that, the bus kept breaking down every few hours turning it into a 20hr bus ride! (iii) for the optional extras and entrance fees we paid were much more than the fee stated on the entrance ticket to each of the sights. Making many of us wonder where the rest of the money went. This left many people complaining that they had spent much more than they budgeted for. It left many of us feeling that On the Go were rather sneaky and we all felt a bit cheated. (iv) tour pace too fast - you would think they would include the most appropriate sights rather than every single one with about 20mins at each sight. (v) tour guide - pretty much stopped being a guide and stopped doing his job once we got to Dahab. Couldn't really be bothered letting people know what was going on or organise requests and we had to ask all the time what arrangements were. There were also rumours of tour guides 'getting it on' with some people on tour. Which may or may not be true but for such rumours to start meant that it was the icing on the cake for a very unprofessional tour and staff.

I travelled to egypt in 2007. First about a week of traveling down to the Nile and back again, and then a few days in Dahab.

We had a different guide for the two parts of the holiday.

I would highly recommend OntheGo, and will soon be booking a trip to Turkey with them. I had a really good time and the holiday went smoothly and was a lot cheaper than similar ones with other companies.

I travelled alone, and there are no single supplements because they pair you up with someone. I ended up not hacing to share with anyone for the entire trip which was good. But one three other travellers were forced to share a room through the use of the spare bed in the rooms. One of those people booked their holiday the day before departure which could have had something to do with it.
