Awful Company and Terrible Customer Service I ordered from this company, and not only did they mess up the order of my curtains by sending the style that was totally different to the one I chose, but also refused a refund or exchange for another design even though it was their mistake. The guy who came to measure and Fit my blind was really nice, quick and efficient. He Suggested making them longer as the window handle was in the middle and edge of the window to stop it bulging which I would never of thought of. I didn't have long to wait till it was fitted. “Poor service and damaged goods”

Free quotation - great service, lead time long 12 weeks, shutters arrived damaged no compensation offered, no quick resolution just a chance to wait another 12 weeks + for another set. We used this company 2 years ago for Venetian blinds for all our windows of our three bedroom house, plus a pair of very pricey but beautiful floor to ceiling voile curtains, with eyelets. Initially we have been very pleased, we had to call someone out within a year, twice, for a slight annoying crookedness with the kitchen blind. I don’t write bad reviews but the service and workmanship we’ve received has been so bad that I had to let others know if they were considering using Hillarys. They are overpriced for a bog standard product and have some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. A fallen blind located in a nursery that was fitted by Hillarys could have seriously harmed our two month old. had 3 shutters fitted at a cost of £1450 which had to be paid in advance the shutters were too small so the job was bodged to make it look OK which left large gaps around the frames so you could see the raw plugs sticking out of the wall these gaps were covered over by a trim. the joints did not join up and he tried to fill them with decorators calk. got onto customer services they said it had been escalated to the area manager and he would ring me but never did even after i kept ringing i was… Read Full Review

I recently had venetians and curtains fitted on three standard windows in my lounge. The cost of the curtains was very high despite a supposed 50% sale. But 50% of what??. I ordered some curtains which were wrong. Got the sales rep to send these back. Waited over 2 weeks only to be told that these had been lost. I was told that the company does not provide refunds as this had to be authorised by senior management which was a joke. All in all it took me 3 months to get the matter resolved. I had to drop down material blinds made to measure and one wooden washboard blind. The cord was damaged on the wooden blind and was replaced without a problem, although I can’t believe the installer didn’t notice it. Both the drop down blinds were a little too big and the material didn’t hang properly on one. I reported this hanging issue to the installer when he replaced the wooden blind and he agreed with me. I ordered two sets of shutters and four white roller blinds. The blinds were to replace existing ones fitted by Hillary's some years ago. The design consultant failed to inform me that the law now requires that I have child-safety catches, and I was horrified to find that the surveyor had screwed them to the walls, without permission, and with short cords we find hard to move. Attitude goes a long way to keep customers. Reviews aren't good. In many cases customers have been subject to reps/fitters not turning up for booked appointments, wrong information supplied by the services team (blatant misinformation), customers themselves being blamed for ill-fitting blinds/shutters, the phone put down on my husband tops it all. “Hilarys are disgraceful ”

We have large windows and wanted large blinds. Hilarys supplied these but they had creases in them. They swapped them over for new ones but suggested we have 2 blinds per window to avoid the creasing. They did this but this left a gap in the middle so our privacy was compromised. Within 7 days they started ‘cupping’ which meant an even larger gap in the middle of the blinds. They re ordered again saying they should of been cut at an angle off the roll so we had a third set. My son had roman blinds and curtains fitted with hillarys 2 years ago of which i paid over a £1000 for. I telephoned customer services this morning for a service call as there is a problem with one of the blinds and because the accounts was in my sons girlfriends name they would not deal with me. I’ve left messages for our installer to ring me back but there is just no response.
