We mad the mistake of ordering blinds from this shabby company,Blinds not put up straight and looked very cheap so we complained and they sent someone out who never had a clue and tryed to iron out to make them straight,Paid,a lot of money for blinds for both bedrooms and if i knew could of got cheaper of fraction of price elsewhere,Avoid,at all costs… Read Full Review

that said on the site or probably fake managed reviews , I had booked a appointment for blinds for my two bedroom flat as am renovating it , my slot was today from 6 -9 pm and I get call at 5.45 from the so called advisor MR courtnage while I was in a clinical session with a patient to bring the appointment forward , and when told its for 9-10 blinds he said wont be able to do it as we wanted to finish by 6.45 to attend a birthday .So don't believe when they say they will whole range of variety… Read Full Review

Count yourself lucky, you got away. I spent £1250 with them and had pure misery ever since and them refusing to do anything about it. Shocking awful company!!

We chose a sample from patterns shown on Hillary's website. The rep arrived after the appointment time - not a good start. After he had measured up, he informed us that the design we had chosen was no longer available. We were somewhat pressured to select a different design and paid £100 up front for the single blind that we wanted. We were given a fitting date a month afterwards. “Expensive bodge job - do not trust.”

We had some blinds fitted by Hillary’s. We went with them over a local supplier as we thought they would be more reputable. The blinds were measured but fitted inaccurately. We have only just spotted the bodge job of our kitchen fitting when needing to take the blinds down for tiling. Held on to fit by lots of washers!!! Paid for blinds and was told they eod be installed the following week. No one turned up so I rang Hillarys and was told this was the wrong date and they would be installed the following Friday. The person I dealt with  from Hillary's measured for 2 blackout roller blinds. 1 measuring 139cm wide x 105 cm long and 1 measuring 88cm wide x 100 long. The price he said included 3 replacement chains at £15 for existing blinds I had, and he showed me his workings out. The total of £306 he said included a 50% discount. Terrible experience with fitter 17.1.18 - day off work unpaid, stayed in, no show, had to chase up, no messages etc. When he finally turned up I had to listen to all his problems and excuses, when I only wanted him to put up the blind and leave. He refused to take away the packing. Today 4.5.18 the blind has fallen down, fittings and all, smashing ornaments in the process. I ordered some black out and venetian blinds through hillays. The sale's process was easy enough, clearly a lot of room for negotiation though. The issue started after I paid. Only half the order arrived, then every time I called to chase the second part which had been 'misplaced' I was told a different story. 3 weeks later I still haven't received my items, and no one even had the curtesy to say sorry. Booked an appointment, had email confirmation and text confirmations. Morning of appointment had a call saying the representative is 'ill' and won't be attending. Surely a company of this size has more than one person and could have offered an alternative. This is my second less than successful experience of hillarys and I won't be following them up again. Ordered to Roman black out blinds in grey for my upstairs front bedrooms had the blinds fitted only to find out that the back of the blinds ie lining is a different colour. Phoned up and complained about it and was told it's the only colour backing they do. So have now got grey blind inside bedroom but it's beige from outside. After always using Hilary's and been satisfied with the service I arranged for them to come out and measure up for some roman blinds for the bedroom, I paid £300 to secure my order and was told they would be ready to fit in 5 weeks! Ordered a like for like blind, just a different colour, when it was fitted the brackets overlapped the recess hence blind a good inch away from wall, I said to the fitter it doesn't sit flush with wall he just said Hilary's have updated their brackets and are bigger now, I said why when you came to measure up you didn't tell me, he just didn't seem bothered and said just email customer services if I wasn't happy and then left. Really disappointing experience with Hillary’s. Guaranteed shutters fitted on 22nd Dec if I ordered that week (all the way back in September). Paid 50% on the spot and then was asked to pay the rest 2 weeks before the fit date. Everytime I look at my curtains I'm depressed ,had brass poles fitted to a bay window ,engineer came out 3 time's to try to stop the poles sagging also made a mess of the plaster drilling holes,looking back I can't believe I've let them get away with this,service and quality apauling and cant wait to rip them down ,hopefully won't be long now till I can afford a reputable company to make new ones, so my advice don't go to hilarys ,you might be lucky then you might not because if anythings… Read Full Review
