Believe all the negative reviews you read they are all true. The very worst company to deal with. Very quick to take your money. The staff should be ashamed to treat customers this way. “Fitting issue”

Blinds were OK but be warned, they drill the blinds into your upvc window frames without telling you. We had 4 blinds fitted 2 years ago and recently changed our windows and realised we couldn't put the blinds back up because the brackets supplied meant we couldn't fit the blind into the wall or ceiling. Numerous phone calls to Hillarys explaining situation to a different person every time to try to get a fitter to come back out and still waiting… Read Full Review

We would give 0 if we could and sharing this review on several websites to leave others a chance to avoid this business. Door sales team gave hugely inflated prices (£1700 for one bay window curtain) alongside pressure sales tactics like "We will give you 20% off if you sign up right now and pay up front". I waited in for the salesman. He turned up an hour after the 3 hour slot I was given without a ladder to access a high window or even samples !!! I decided to read all the reviews as alarm bells were ringing when he left, so glad I did. “How Rude and Ignorant can you get?”

Having phoned for a Fitting, a Salesman came the following day. Wonderfully prompt. In less than an hour I had ordered what I wanted and effectively 'Paid in full' 50% there on the day - the other 50% to be paid 3 weeks later!. I asked what - if anything I would have to move around for blinds to be fitted and was advised by the salesman that someone would come and advise me - he could see no problems!. Some blinds fitted on 20th September and two others left here in boxes with promise to return in two days to fit. Not heard anything in spite of several phone calls. Ordered some shutters last January, went with them because they had fitted some before for us. They said it would be August… a longtime but agreed. Days before fitting told that the shutters wouldn’t be in the country till September. So earliest fitting would be October!!! Still not given a date so contacted them to complain, twice, no response. The worst service ever If I could give less than one star I would. We had a really lovely man come to do the fitting and price up curtains and a voile. After a week we decided to go for the voiles and not the curtains as the fabric didn’t quite fit with our plan for the room. I rang and spoke to an advisor to order the voiles. Terrible customer service I ordered blinds from Hillary’s due to the reputation they have. (Otherwise you can get the same blinds for half the price). The fitter arrived and was professional and polite. Unfortunately during the fitting he damaged two of my walls in two separate rooms. We moved winter to a house with no window fittings so thought to have some blinds up as quickly as possible. We ordered early Dec.+ were told it would be first week in Jan, but when confirmation arrived 2 days later it had moved to 15th. AWFULThey are completely useless and customer service is not in their Vocabulary. We had a lovely man come and measure, Colours chosen and blinds oredered on the understanding we had a supply date and a fitting date. We ordered blinds from Hillary's on December 2019 the job was finally finished March 2021 (well sort of finished i had to re-program the last blind myself due to poor employees). The product is not worth anywhere near the money paid and the service is poor. After the final blind was fitted i was called requesting payment within an hour and if not paid within 3 days it would be passed on to the debt recovery department. Go through your bank services visa or MasterCard disputes. They will handle this for you. I’m sick of Hillary’s now. Wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered.
I have spoken to MasterCard who will dispute my case for me.

Poor installation and appalling after sales experience. We decided to use Hillary’s as we did not think we could install our blinds professionally so instead of buying the blinds online and fitting it ourselves we thought it would be more appropriate to have a “professional” do the job and pay the premium that comes with a professional service. I am so disappointed with customer service I have received. Last August I placed an order for 3 wooden shutters, 3 motorised Roller Blinds and a set of vertical blinds, these should have been fitted early November but there was a hold up due to Coronavirus. The next mutually convenient time for these to be fitted was the third week in January. Appalling customer service. We made a complaint before Christmas and it’s still not been resolved. We were assigned an account manager. He promises to call you back but this never happens. I’m in the process of taking my complaint to the BBSA as I’ve had no joy dealing with customer services. They are full of broken promises. I wouldn’t use or recommend Hillarys. Look elsewhere! Unfair contract terms by expecting full payment in advance of any installation, should have walked away then. Just did not turn up for agreed installation and took a week of chasing to get my conservatory blinds installed. Then wires coming loose, the wider blinds really stiff to operate, the pole to operate them with has a cheap flimsy plastic end that keeps slipping off, customer service atrocious! Just had my first Hillarys blinds fitted, we have large bay windows and couldn't find anywhere that did the right size for us. We chose Hillary's because they come out and measure for you and take care of the installation. The advisor and fitters were really sensible about COVID measures and took great care to minimise contact. Both wore protective masks :).
