Wanted some new curtains for my living room and opted for Hillarys after seeing some of their Facebook ads, it was quick and easy to book an appointment. The advisor was extremely helpful, recommending various different styles and features whilst he measured up and came fully prepared in PPE to ensure we were all covid-19 safe. Great and quick service. Very professional and good quality blinds, curtains and cushions. Really easy to book an appointment and the whole process was easy from start to known. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.. be aware If there is a zero star I would even give. Extremely unprofessional customer services after the order and throughout... the engineer took wrong measurements for my 3 windows !!! Yes three!!! And ironically he didnt find out until after he fitted them !!!?? Appalling customer service, absolutely no communication, no return to my numerous phone calls, no communication about installation dates until I started complaining loudly and telephoning daily. The blinds are poor quality, the shutters are damaged, and the blinds are all different sizes. I had to refit all 10 of the roller blinds as they were installed by an amateur, and not level. We ordered some expensive conservatory blinds in 2018 and were given a date for complete installation in March 2019. The fitter fitted some of the blinds but left large gaps and dangling wires where blinds were missing. Those installed did not work properly and keep scrunching up and getting stuck. A fitter was supposed to complete the installation on numerous occasions over the last 18 months but usually didn't turn up, costing me several days of wasted annual leave. Ordered some blinds 7 weeks ago and firstly was given 2 different prices but the orders were identical. I proceeded to call and complain and 10 calls later... i was fobbed off yet again and was promised a call back on the 22nd July from a manager after they had listened to calls, yet now on the 7th August nothing 50 minutes prior to fitting a text messages to say not coming. My mum had a salesman round who told her emphatically she could have an awning fitted for£3200. The deposit of half (£1600) was taken off her within a couple of days. The surveyor visited to check the measurements and told her after 3 minutes due to her roof an awning was impossible. Yesterday had a visit fron Hillary’s rep polite helpful and no complaint about him. Three windows for roller blinds all measurements in feet and inches. 3 by 3. 4 By 3 and lounge 5 by 3. Came up with price for the 3 by 3 of just short of £500 with that politely showed him the door. Today local company arrived they are well recommended price £271 accepted no argument £100 deposit. The guy who came to measure and Fit my blind was really nice, quick and efficient. Free quotation - great service, lead time long 12 weeks, shutters arrived damaged no compensation offered, no quick resolution just a chance to wait another 12 weeks + for another set. We used this company 2 years ago for Venetian blinds for all our windows of our three bedroom house, plus a pair of very pricey but beautiful floor to ceiling voile curtains, with eyelets. I don’t write bad reviews but the service and workmanship we’ve received has been so bad that I had to let others know if they were considering using Hillarys. They are overpriced for a bog standard product and have some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. A fallen blind located in a nursery that was fitted by Hillarys could have seriously harmed our two month old. had 3 shutters fitted at a cost of £1450 which had to be paid in advance the shutters were too small so the job was bodged to make it look OK which left large gaps around the frames so you could see the raw plugs sticking out of the wall these gaps were covered over by a trim. the joints did not join up and he tried to fill them with decorators calk. got onto customer services they said it had been escalated to the area manager and he would ring me but never did even after i kept ringing i was… Read Full Review

I recently had venetians and curtains fitted on three standard windows in my lounge. The cost of the curtains was very high despite a supposed 50% sale. But 50% of what??.
