“Will never go to wickes”

Orderd units for my utility. Several items were damaged. Customer Services re sent items they also arrived damaged. Eventually the third lot was OK but my builder had lost several days work and wickes will not give me any discount for the inconvenience caused. Paid around £13000 for a new kitchen last November, Given a start date of 11th April. with a 10 day fit estimate. All started well then the fitter discovered the cupboard for the sink unit was missing. They sent that. Week two the fitter discovered the hob was missing. When we contacted Wickes the man said yes he was aware it was missing as it did not come into stock until 7th April (we paid for it the previous November). So the job stopped. “Very good result ”

Early 2022 chose the Tiverton Pebble and the Wickes installation services. Chatham branch of Wickes. Installer also did the electrics and plumbing. Took about three months from placing an order to completing the install. Chose our own hob and cooker with Wickes supplying the extractor. Smooth process throughout. The end result is very good. “The only person I would recommend Wickes to is Putin ”

In April 2021, We visited our local branch of Wickes, we spoke to a sales assistant about a kitchen thay had on display, she told us it would cost about £12-15, 000, for the same kitchen to be installed, we arranged for a designer to draw up some ideas, he came back with a price of £32,000 for the same kitchen. When we said that was to much for us, he immeditely dropped the price to £28,000. If I could get time back I would even never consider going to kitchen showrooms, absolutely horrible service. Good thing - good design..... overall maybe 5 of 10 compare to everything else after designing Bad things - absolutely worst kitchen quality even worst than b and q , not professional fitters, not competent staff at all. 3 months later my kitchen looks like 5 years old Bad quality surface, units and everything else can’t wait to replace it after spending 6000 for nothing… Read Full Review

“Awful workmanship, even worse aftercare”

You better pray that nothing goes wrong after your kitchen has been installed, the aftercare is so awful, my kitchen sink literally fell through the worktop because the fitter forgot to put any support brackets whatsoever underneath! It was held up with a old cut off piece of wood, which after filling the sink up it fell through! To prevent the sink collapsing on the pipe work underneath and pulling the tap down i wedged a-bit of wood on the side so it wouldn't cause further damage, but wickes… Read Full Review

BEWARE WICKES ARE AN UNPROFFESSIONAL BUNCHS.

After 3 months we still have no running water in our new partially installed kitchen .The Wickes installers removed the kitchen 10 days before the new one arrive leaving us with no services in mid January, no cooker , no sink , no washing machine . We had to set up a tempory kitchen in our porch . We were forced to kick out the traders they claimed were approved tradesmen when they flooded our kitchen , these same people built a tower unit upside down resulting in doors not fitting. we the discover these approved fitters had been kicked out of Wickes in one region for poor workmanship only to change their name and sign up in a new region. The installation is worthy of a keen Amateur , a fact the regional installations manager acknowledged , so many faults in a £15,000.00 kitchen , yet Wickes will not consider any compensation. Court action to follow.

I am also seriously considering taking a court action against them, we have had a ombudsman visit, he completed a report of 26 things that needed attention, and they still say they will not attend to all his points of recommendations, they have left some very dangerious things unfinished! NO ONE FROM WICKES HAS EVER COME OUT TO VISIT THERE INSTALLATION! OR LOOK AT THE ISSUES.

“Kitchen falling apart within 2 years”

Ive had my kitchen installed by Wicks and it costed over £1000. They send the wrong sink to start with and the second one is being fixed but not levelled. Wood is chipping and swelling. Many calls and emails were sent to Wicks and every time a new person responded saying sorry and promised will resolve soon and now it is about 4 years and not a single issue resolved. “Appalling service”

The worst experience ever. Parts of the kitchen order were missing and i was informed a day before giving me no time to prepare or make alternative arrangements. The kitchen fit ended up costing me an extra £1400 due to no fault of my own and Wickes never answered the phone or got back to me t help resolve. Do not ever allow Wickes to fit a bathroom or kitchen. My mum's bathroom was ripped out 13th Oct and haven't anything done since. My mum is 60, a nurse saving lives mostly on the COVID ward and has no essential facilities to shower when she gets home. “1 year in - no bathroom”

We have ordered a bathroom installation in November 2020 at Wickes Carlisle. Bad mistake. It took them more than 6 months to deliver the parts. After 2 more months, an installer showed up and found the tiles were missing. One month later, he showed up again and started installation - couldn't get far because tiles were still missing. Ordered a bathroom from Taunton store, everything was going well in the process until we signed the dotted line. Once signed the designer couldn't give a monkeys. they tried to deliver goods 2 days before xmas and 4 weeks early, because the designer had not updated their system with the correct delivery date. we turned delivery away and told them to deliver at the date specified on our order. so they they sold our worktop on and couldn't guarantee another unit would arrive before fitting was… Read Full Review

Appalling, unprofessional service from kitchen fitters. Ran over by 6 weeks (leaving us unable to cook/wash dishes/do laundry) on a job they said would take just 5 days. Repeatedly left site with very little progress then wouldn't come back for days at a time. Very poor quality of what work they did actually complete, numerous mistakes and substandard finish. “Bathroom disaster ”

We ordered and paid for a new bathroom 2 years ago . This was eventually fitted ?? 4 months later . The list of problems we’ve had is unbelievable . The most serious was a leaking bath drain . Worst kitchen ever! Loads of missing parts, had 30 days to let them know, but there’s that many incorrect instructions, you loose lots of time waiting for them to send out new and missing parts you go over the 30 days then have to buy more parts that were never there.
