“Not interested after they get your money”

Bought a brand new caravan from them in 2018 and have had nothing but bother with it. No customer service and full of false promises (they havent answered any of my e-mails since June 2019). Caravan has been inspected by an independent engineer recently and he has confirmed my issues/complaints and the finance company have now agreed to take it back and are refunding my deposit and some giving me some compensation. “Shocking after sales service ”

Purchased brand new Coachman Pastiche 545 2019 in July. 11 weeks later damp patches appeared on the bedroom wall. After being passed from pillar to post between Grantham and Coachman, Grantham finally agreed to repair it and as if doing us a favour said they wouldn’t charge us!!! “Lunar Solaris”

PIcked up van in April 2017. The first problem I had was it was the first van ive had with a 13 pin plug and when I tried to plug it in I didn't have enough clearance room under my car to plug the cable in. Paid a deposit of £500 pounds to Grantham Caravans for a new Swift Super Quattro had agreed a PX fee £9750.00 for my Caravan travelled from Scunthorpe to Grantham to deliver the PX Caravan, sales person came out to check the Caravan over and then went into the office to sign the forms with a remaining balance of £10.500 to pay when the new Caravan was built February 2019. “Worst company I have ever dealt with”

Price was good, but the service was terrible.I ordered a new caravan off Grantham Caravans costing over £17250 and although it was in stock I had to wait 2 months to collect it. On the day before collection and when my wife and I had already booked a days holiday from work they called me at 4.40pm (just after I had transferred the balance) and told me it wasn't ready. I recently purchased a new caravan from Grantham Caravans and couldn't have been looked arfter any better, the staff were very friendly and helpful on the day we collected our new caravan. “Great after care Service from Swift”

We purchased a New Swift Elite 480 from Grantham Caravans while attending the Birmingham Caravan show.. My husband suffered a massive heart attack the week after we got home from the show. “Great service, until they have your money!”

I bought a new caravan from them in 2017, the buying experience was great and we were well looked after, but after we'd got the van they couldn't care less. We realised after having had the new van for a couple of months that they hadn't paid off the finance on the van we traded in, when we rang to get it sorted we were promised a call back that never came. You are entitled to be treated fairly, since it's clear you have not. I think you should get Trading Standards advice. You are protected under the 2015 Consumer Protection Law and since you made your request clear at the start Grantham Caravans should comply. Contact your local Trading Standards Officer for help and advice. Don't be put of if when you make the call you get put to an answer machine.They will get back to you. Good Luck hope you get things resolved.

“Poor Quality Service / Incapable of Resolving Problems”

I purchased a brand new twin axle caravan from Grantham Caravans in 2015. Within one week I started to have problems with the caravan. The caravan was taken back to Grantham Caravans to be put right on many occasions with several faults with only minor success. While the staff were polite and courteous they appeared unable and /or incapable of putting the faults right. We bought our Lunar Solaris 544 caravan from Grantham Caravans in 2015 and were impressed by the competitive pricing and customer service offered by the sales team. What a shame that ethos is not followed by the service reception team. At first service in 2016 I reported faults with the cooker and water system. I was told these were fixed when I picked it up. Wow! I had similar confrontational attitudes from two people at Grantham, they really do need to send some of their staff on training courses especially geared to dealing with customer complaints fairly and effectively to ensure their return. Listening to customers valid complaints is key to their return, most customers just want to be reassured that they are being respectfully acknowledged. In your case I would have expected money off and a sincere apology. You have rights under the 2015 Consumer Protection Law use it. For advice contact your Local Trading Standards Officer. Leave a message on their answer machine they will get back to you. They were a great help and support to me.

When we purchased are caravan the sales man was very good going into great detail about the service valeting etc the van would get before collection ages months after purchase we had a moter mover fitted at home we found that the chassis was bent contacted Grantham caravans several times the service department not interested or willing to do anything to help even though this would have been noticed when serviced​ and put right unless they expect customers to crawl under caravans to check them… Read Full Review

From the first enquiry online we have been thoroughly looked after, we live 70 miles away so I chatted to the person I dealt with about what I was looking for, he then went out into the freezing cold to do a video for me of the caravan he thought would be for us, I didn't ask but I thought that was brilliant.
