Mma , A True Sport, Often Misunderstood

Along side football (soccer) this is my favourite sport. I have been following it for roughly 8 years and even in that relatively short space of time the sport of MMA has developed so much! The UFC ( Ultimate fighting championship) is the biggest MMA organisation in the world! When the UFC began, initially it had no weight classes and very few rules, many viewed it as "no holds barred fighting" a gratuitous violent sport with no place in mainstream entertainment. Over the years that general opinion amongst many has transformed to a much more positive one. This was generally helped through better regulations and more stringent rules. The introduction of strict weight classes, the compulsory use of gloves and more moves being made illegal such as downward elbow strikes to the head, groin strikes and kneeing or kicking a downed opponent in the head. Slowly more and more true martial artists started to replace the bar room brawlers at the top of the sport helping to bring it to the point its at today whereby the UFC shows 2-4 fight cards per month world wild. Recently the addition of woman athletes in the UFC have added some controversy to the sport, however after watching several woman's bouts it was quickly evident that these woman where every bit as much the athlete as their male counterparts. A quick bit of trivia for those who still think the sport is too dangerous; There have been zero life threatening injuries in the UFC compared to several deaths attributed to the sport of boxing. In summary I feel that MMA will someday soon take over the world as the globes biggest sport, I feel the UFC will have a lot to be proud of when that happens for the way they have pioneered the sport for so many years!

Best Than Wwe...real Fights Huge Athletes

I think the sport has evolved from the time UFC first started and now its a world wide phenomenon. It seems so simple but its so complicated in the same time. Two fighters use different forms of martial arts in order to prevail against there opponent. If you dont know much about martial arts maybe you will get confused in the beggining but i think you will enjoy it either way.

Much more entertaining than boxing and all the other fighting sports. The only downside is the high price for the ppv if you are watching in the US.

Ufc For Me Is The Best Wrestling Entertainment Sho

UFC for me is the best Wrestling Entertainment show there is, fierce fighters with fierce action. I knew the wrestling shows like WWE would of lead to this one day, people will in my opinion always move on from acting to real fighting. Basically the entertainment factor is the same, yet the fights are obviously real with real stars. I feel much more involved with UFC than I do with WWE, TNA and so on... Although they are very entertaining UFC is that and more. Nothing better in my opinion and for me the Ultimate Fighter Championship is the best thing on TV.
