Indigo Cars, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

I haven't got many dealers around where I live, so I had a look around Sheffield when I came to visit my daughter for the weekend, who's at university there.

I started with the local Ford, Renault and Vauxhall dealers as well as 3 out of town car supermarket-type places. They all seemed to have one thing in common - their sales people wouldn't leave me alone and were always trying to sell me something I didn't want.

I then tried a place called Indigo. I hadn't heard of them before and they didn't have a franchise so I wasn't feeling hopeful, but they did say they sold new and used cars and with my experiences everywhere else I thought it can't get any worse.

All I can say is I was pleasantly surprised. The staff turned out to be really helpful and actually listened to what I said - I ended up buying something I hadn't even thought about, but it does everything I need and the price seemed very reasonable.

Their part exchange price was lower than one of the car supermarkets and the the Vauxhall dealer, but higher than the others and overall I felt the deal was better than everybody else. When I said I was concerned about the service because they haven't got a franchise, they actually showed me around their workshop facilities top put my mind at ease.

Theire openness was something I hadn't come across before and that was really the thing that made me buy.

Just wanted to let people know because I've always dreaded going to buy a car, but these people actually made it a pleasent experience.

I would just like to say what a good experience I had buying from indigo cars. They are a new dealer located in Sheffield, they have very modern showroom and a warming relaxed approach to selling cars. They put me under no preasure and I test drove several cars before I made up my mind. I had done my home work before on prices and finance before I went out looking by shopping round on the internet but they offered me such a good deal I also got my finance through them as there was no difference between them and a personal loan. They sell everything from puntos to range rovers new and used. I bought a nearly new Ford Focus and they let me take it there and then. I have bought a lot of cars in my life new and used but this was by far the best experience I have had and just to put the cherry on the top I got what I think was a more than fair part x price.
