The Sets Are Beautiful
Sucker punch is a work of art. A simple yet thought-provoking form of art that resonated with me as no other film has. Each shot is masterfully crafted and detailed. The sets are beautiful.
Got Bored
I saw the trailer for this movie and thought it would be a good movie to go on a Friday night. So I told my girlfriends to come with me and it was a pretty expensive the ticket at the best cinema. During half an hour of the movie I started to fall asleep, I thought it really was not the best. I thought it was a waste.

Sucker Punch - In Your Imagination Everything Is Possible
Sucker Punch (2011)
This film interested me, because of the action and fight scenes. I saw the trailer, and the film seems to have a lot of action in it, also the special effects interested me.
Genre: Fantasy, Action, Thriller,
Plot: It’s about a young girl, called babydoll, who loses her mother and her younger sister. She was then put in a house for people with mental illnesses, by her violent stepfather. She has only five days, until a doctor arrives to do a lobotomy on her. So she needs a plan to escape, before this misfortune catches her. Luckily she’s got a powerful imagination, where she can escape her real life. But there she has to fight other kind of wars. Does she manage to outrun her misfortune with the help of her female friends?
Characters: Babydoll (Emily Browning), she is the main character. She lost her mother and her younger sister, so had to live with her step father.
Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), Rocket (Jena Malone), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens) and Amber (Jamie Chung) are baby-doll’s friends in these hard times. They live together in the mental hospital which is also a brothel.
Dr. Vera Gorski (Carla Gugino) is a therapist and also responsible for the show of the gils in the brothel.
Blue Jones (Oscar Isaac) is the owner of the place, he runs the brothel and also the mental hospital.
Wise man (Scott Glen) is a kind of a guide for babydoll in her imagination. He gives hints about what they should do.
Doctor / High Roller (Jon Hamm) arrives in five days to do the lobotomy on babydoll.
The film set is designed in an old-fashioned way. There are also a lot of computer generated scenes, which are spectacular and of very good quality. Most of the scenes are shot in a dark environment, but the special effects on the other hand are bright and awesome.
My favourite scene is at the beginning, when babydoll dives the first time into her imagination. The transition from real to unreal is just beautiful. The soundtrack is well paced and fits every scene. The speed of the film is good, there is enough time to recover from the action scenes, but some times it can be a bit boring.
I like this film for the fight and action scenes. And i think the soundtrack is also awesome. If you like films like Matrix, Inception and similar, you should definitely give Sucker Punch a try.

You May Or May Not Like It!
Zack Snyder’s controversial film sees a rather hot looking Emily Browning in a Britney Spears schoolgirl outfit kicking butt before being lobotomised. The Blu-ray extended cut has 17 extra mins including a chopped sex scene cut out to keep the film rated 12. DVD and blu-ray versions have a minimum amount of extra's. The film itself you will like or hate depending on if you enjoy action films with little story.
