Fully enjoyed my time at Dye House and was gutted to leave due to house move. Very friendly yard, good facilities, very accommodating always someone to help if you need it. Bare in mind the bad reviews on here are usually left by people that were asked to leave the yard and people are only asked to leave with good reason.

Fantastic Yard And Great Facilities

After reading a couple of the reviews, I must disagree with some of the comments.

I spent 4 glorious years at dye house and loved every minute. the old couple that own the yard are so lovely and will do anything to help.

I see a few moans about the granddaughter,I never had any issues and is a lovely young lady, as are the whole family.

The yard has a great indoor with a terrific surface, two good sized fields and a paddock.

The stables are a good size with plenty of parking.

All in all a great yard, I was sad to leave.

Take no notice of the poo reviews, this place is one in a million.

Avoid The Granddaughter

Absolutely horrific owners , the granddaughter manipulates people and only wants there money , won’t let anyone help each other as she would loose out on a pitiful £7 , it’s her way or the highway , if you don’t suck up to her you’ll be chucked off before you know it with no notice , the dogs poo in the stables and gets left for us to pick up , livery is done half hearted and shaving out on top of the muck that needs picking up even tho you pay for the service, the fields are full of ragworts , would be a lovely yard if she just legged it ????

Avoid At All Costs

This could be a nice yard, just a pity the granddaughter of the owners is such a vindictive, money oriented control freek. Horse’s welfare are a low priority and her only concern is how much money she can get out of you for livery. If she’s not making money of you she doesn’t want you there. People on the yard are nice, just avoid the granddaughter who likes to throw her authority around and pick on the younger and vulnerable.

Awful Owners

My friend was on this yard a few years ago and in general is a lovely yard with good facilities. The bad side is the people that own it. The granddaughter is an absolute horror and likes to bully young kids, she tried to reason with her which was a mistake as she just makes your life even more miserable and she eventually moved off to a lovely yard with friendly people.

Friendly Family Yard

I have been lucky enough to have been on Dye House for nearly 3 years, I can honestly say hand on heart it is one of the best if not the best yards in the area. The majority of the liveries have been there several years.

I have found all the liveries friendly, The owners are fantastic and really cant do enough for you it is a very well run yard if something is broken it is fixed the very next day. the midden is on the back of a tractor and taken a few days a week so it doesnt smell.

The indoor is brilliant all year riding and with british weather we need it! with the option to use the outdoor. There is also a communial cafe with a heater so you can make a drink or food and get a warm.

This is one of the few yards that you can walk on in shoes and not get covered in muck as all paths are concrete and you can leave your dog for a wash and brush in the Grooming parlour.

I had bad news of late and the whole yard offered a lot of support. more like a family then a Livery yard. Lovely atmosphere would highly recommend to anyone.

Could Be A Lovely Yard

I was on this yard with my daughter, its a lovely yard with a large indoor and nice large stables. The downside my daughter was bullied by the owners grand-daughter,i did go and have a word with her grand-mother which to my regret was a mistake as she would not have a word said wrong about her, and more or less told me if i didn't like it move off. After that my daughters life was made so miserable by her she wouldn't go down there any more.

We moved off just after that to a lovely friendly yard which my daughter is very happy

I love this yard and have had nothing but fantastic experience on there, I believe it is the best yard in the area, I have had a very pleasant experience here and everyone on there has been nothing but helpful and friendly, Bullies are not tollerated and are asked to leave making the yard lovely for the rest of us. Fantastic indoor well run sucessfull family business. I would 1000% recommend to others.
