This is the first time I've hired a sat nav, so had a few reservations as to how well the process would work and whether I'd receive the required sat nav. I have a sat nav covering Europe but needed to hire one for driving across the US. The cost of the hire was a lot cheaper than downloading the relevant maps for my own device and well worth the money. Finding and ordering the best product on the website was very easy, the site is very user friendly and booking the sat nav took just a few minutes. Communication from the company was excellent and I received an email telling me when the device was being despatched, that it had been despatched, and was able to track and trace delivery. The device was despatched earlier than expected due to holiday absence within the company, which gave me extra time to make sure the device worked and I was familiar with all of the functions before I went away. The sat nav I was sent was actually a better model than the one I ordered, all at no extra cost. I was very impressed by the overall service received and would definitely use cheapsatnavhire.co.uk again, as well as recommend the company to anybody eneding to hire a sat nav.

I highly recommend this service to everyone, especially for the people who will rent a car there. We reserved a Tom tom from USA (before visiting UK), when we found out the rental car company charges an outrageous price for an optional Sat Nav rental. 12 days rental fee from this company was cheaper than one day rental from the rental car company. Turned out it was a good call, they delivered the Sat Nav to our hotel in London on time, the device was new with the newest version of software, and the instruction for return shipping was clear. They even included a return shipping label. The trip was so enjoyable and we visited the smallest places because of this device. The customer service was swift and very kind too. At the end of trip, things got hectic to us but they were vary patient and helping us all they can. I will definitely use their service again in the future and highly recommend to everyone.

Hired a Tomtom One for use in South Africa from cheap sat nav hire, what a god send, wouldn't have survived without it! As I couldn't afford to purchase one right before my holiday this hire service was ideal; arrived on time, packaged well, good instructions for return, worked perfectly. Unbelievable value for money, great equipment and service. Very pleased! A great way of avoiding an expensive purchase if you only need it for a one off purpose. Also a great way of testing out an item before you buy it (I will be purchasing a sat nav now as I can see it would be worth the expense). I have used the Cheap Sat Nav hire on three occasions now and each time it has been delievered without incident and has been easy to use and undoubtedly made my holidays in the UK hassle free. Only one criticism would be that it doesn't always seem to be updated and there are some roads I drove on which it didn't know existed. I don't know how often they get updated and this might be a consideration.

Cheap Sat Nav Hire is a very good service - I hired for a weekend only and there was no extra charge for ensuring that the equipment arrived on a Saturday morning. Everything worked perfectly and the instructions were very clear.

Be careful when ripping open the box though - you have to use the same one to return it!

Don't forget to add the price of special delivery return postage (about £6) to the quoted price - some other companies include a postage paid envelope. However still good value because the basic hire fee is lower.

Cheap Sat Nav Hire is a great service. Sat nav actually arrived earlier than expected. Very easy to set up and use. Price very reasonable.

Cons: Need to pay for postage to return sat nav (and the cost of this) isn't immediately obvious on website. (This is no different from competitors, but it would be useful to be up front about it)

Excellent, prompt and efficient service with Cheap Sat Nav Hire. Only slight problem with actual SatNav was it became a little temperamental in the heat of Texas ( 107 degrees on some days!) but once cooled down it was ok.

Delivered at stated time. Simple instructions and easy to return....and loads cheaper than some offered through travel companies.
The SatNav was fine but the roads are different around Barcelona. Quick lane changes make you curse the SatNav when in fact it is only keeping up with the roads. I would advise caution checking the names of places. As the anglified ones are not always recognised. e.g. People visit Monserrat but the SatNav need Monistrol de Monserrat. However give the correct details and it gets you there.
