“Don't ever go here ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by sath1 on 15/04/2022

the bed sheets are dirty there was blood on my bed sheets. Waiting in line to get the keys in complicated and there is a long waiting to get the keys. There is barely anything to do on site. They don't make the beds when a new owner comes in. the toilets are tiny and you can barely fit in it. The swimming pool closes by 4 and you can only stay in there for 45min. the park near the pub is tiny and not as advertised. Don't recommend going here.

“Owners opinion ”

★★☆☆☆

written by Nickolas474 on 01/08/2016

We purchased a caravan on this site last year, and to be honest, we are not overly impressed! I think there should be more for children to do on site, the restaurant needs updating badly! And the toilets are absolutely disgusting! Restaurant table and chairs are dirty! When the lawn is cut, there is literally grass everywhere, I think residents and rentals should be separated, we have heard so many fights and arguments, but they don't care, because they can leave, more and more travellers coming on site too,i would not recommend to buy a caravan on a park holidays site! Save your money!

“Not As Advertised!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Nessie4Skye on 06/09/2015

Children’s entertainment was terrible! The Loopy and Friends Show was music playing the children could dance to, whilst Loopy walked round the room with one of the entertainment staff to have his picture taken with guests. This session ended with them saying Loopy was tired and had to go, no song or dance, just a wave and gone. We were told the Krazy Krew would follow in about 5 minutes, again just music no entertainment staff at all, then about 15 minutes later a member of the entertainment team did a dance game with the children. When we returned home we got an email asking for feedback which we sent, the reply from the site was :- “ With regards to our entertainment, we operate a programme which is created by Park Holidays “ I again contacted Park Holidays who didn’t even respond.

“Worst park I have ever been at”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 23/06/2015

The accommodation on this park even when you pay for an upgrade is shabby and towards the end of its life. Everything is chipped and damaged, the foam on the seats is lumpy and uncomfortable, the mattress on the bed has springs poking through, one of the curtains was missing in the bedroom and that was just the caravan. There was no adult entertainment even though it was advertised as 'showtime'. Would never come back again and will be contacting the company for my upgrade fee back as a minimum when I return home. Avoid this park at all costs.

“Please Dont Bother if your Tenting”

★☆☆☆☆

written by RaiderPhil on 27/08/2014

Hi All, Just returned from a weekend away at this camp site sorry but if your looking for a quiet get away avoid at all costs. The clientele at this site allow their children to run riot and if that isn't enough the endless drunken parties continue to 3am with not sight of anyone making sure people are considerate of others. I have been attending this site as a camper for over 20 years but I'm afraid to say this will be my last trip here it has changed that much and unfortunately not for the better. The site itself was dirty and smelly the endless queues for toilets and showers not acceptable you need more toilets and showers not more stinking Portaloo's. I am saddened to say what once was a nice site to visit has become as my friends who accompanied me put it a hell hole :(

“CHEAP & CHEEFUL ... BE PREPARED TO STARVE !!”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 25/09/2013

If your looking for 5star, this is not the place for you...If you've booked a bronze caravan and do budget then you cant complain .. They dont do fancy they do value. Its as basic as it gets, not geared up for a full on activity keep you kids occupied , its find your own entertainment off sight. It works if your prepared to put your feet up and read a book ! The area is lovely with the smallest passenger carrying steam train in the world RH&D. The kids entertainment is about as fun as a melted ice cream so do venture just up the road is Dymchurch with it family fun park, small but fun. The sight has some really lovely staff whom are aware they are working for such a poorly uncaring company such as park resorts and really do their best for the customers . The pool is newly built, small and clean and sadly should have been twice its size .. When you attempt to try out the on sight club house restaurant you will be greeted with struggling staff behind the counter (if your lucky enough to find it open ) whom get flustered with just a microwave pizza on order. The food can be cooked by a real chef if your lucky or maybe the manager lol ! Large orders will be staggered on bringing them out so dont expected to eat a family meal all together ... My advice is not to pay over the top with gold/platinum caravan book cheap see whats on offer and you wont be disappointed x

“Very dated - needs attention, but staff seem great”

★★☆☆☆

written by jayinoz on 09/08/2011

We chose a gold class caravan, and to be honest, it was ok, but wasn't great, with bits missing out the furniture, a piece of corner plastic hanging off, and various little holes, mattress needed replacing but no biggie, just not gold class. The park looks dated and needs mone spending on it. The pool was closed, first for a day, then until further notice. The pool itself is very small, 6 foot across and about 12 foot long, and reportedly cold. The childrens entertainment is great, given the obvious limited resources. There are a lot of dogs on the site, but no problems. The childrns play areas are fairly basic but scattered around. The 'farm animals' claimed in the brochure are some fhorses in a far off field, and the odd wild rabbit - I feel this is a con. The site doesn't accept credit cards for some reason, really quite poor IMHO. There is wireless available free in the pub, but poor range - doesn;t stretch into the main club area. You can pay for internet access elsewhere, which is a great festure, but shame its not free given we'd paid a small fortune for a 2 week stay. New beach down the road looks much better from first view, so we would stay there in future. Overall, if I'd paid a few hundred quid a week I would have flet it was good value, the amount we paid I expected much more.

We had both caravan and camping experiences this Aug 2010. This is the worst sight we have been to. The swimming pool was closed for four days, the toilets for camping her closed at 10pm, and the showers were awful. The bar didn't open during the day Tue-Thurs until five. Both reception and shop closed at 5pm, and the childrens play area consisted of one climbing frame. I would never recommend to anyone.

There were other children play areas infront of the bar as well as the one by the camping area. Sounds like the best place to stay is in the lodges by the sounds of it.We stayed of a weekend also so alot more was open.

I was very pleasently suprised and impressed. We stayed in a silver lodge which had very good furnishings some home made ie black out curtains in lounge, double glazing and central heating and even the small things in the lodge like a non stick pan was very high quality better than my one at home!.Didn't expect all that for a very cheap price. Park seems to be looked after the older generation which is fine by me as the park was looked after and the lodge i stayed in.Very peaceful at night which is a very important to me no chavs running around. This park is good if you want to have a low key rested break. Not the place for teenagers or 18-30s, mostly made up of young families or older people. Loopy bear on at 8pm for children in the club at the back after adult entertainment which i didn't watch. A Small indoor pool, climbing frames etc for children and a small arcade and pub. Food very average. There is a Sainsburys up the road so we got some food and ate in most of the break. There are also two beaches close by Dymchurch (which has more to do with cafes shops arcades and funfair and donkey rides for children on the beach) to the left as you come out of the park. To the right New Romney beach which is just a beach on the way there is the small train to go on. Loved this place and I am very hard to please am booking up again. If you want to low key quiet place with a couple of things to do and a drive to the beach this is the place for you.

The swimming pool was out of action due to "health and safety issues", the area allocated for tents was actually quite crampt. Most campers were friendly, but noisey chavs. There was a combine harvester in the field opposite causing lots of noise and showering the campsite with dust particles. The showers were truly awful, ice cold and dripping.
