He was professional, friendly and extremely helpful throughout our appointment at the Gateshead Branch. He made the whole process smooth and was a pleasure to deal with. “Trade centre cons”

Looked at car told could not take on test drive only round compound, car looked ok so bought informed we do no cosmetics or servicing , car would be cleaned ready for pick up sat morning realy not done. Then hear noise on acceleration and slowdown like police car ambulance coming.took back only to be informed that it common ,part of car setup informed sales guy I will get it checked by Peugeot dealership as its not common or part of car setup, asked for refund as only had car 5days , as yet no responce ps car is great , but needs sorted l would not buy from trade centre again , I have bought from Gateshead main sites and would do again . Trade centre don't seem to want custom more like what you see is what you get if you don't like tuff .

“Unaccepatable”

I was promised a car within 10 days and paid a £200 deposit. First of the car I paid for to be delivered was sold so I was told they are sending me another similar car. Its been almost 2 weeks now and that car hasn't even left the site. I just moved to the UK and needed a car urgently, clearly this company has no sense of urgency and will be happy to take their time. Do not recommend to any friends, family or person.

“At last!! a professional reliable car dealership”

Having bought a vehicle from evans halshaw Hyundai Gateshead a problem developed. Evans Hallshaw principle dealer came in on his day off anddealt with the matter personally and arranged for his sales team to solve the problem. The car was replaced with another model in record time and the entire sales team could not have been more helpful. we will definitely be making our future purchases from this dealer and would highly recommend them on a number of levels to anyone looking for a professional customer service.

“Error in MOT Fail”

Took car in for MOT and Service. Was told that car failed MOT on brakes and that new pads/discs were required and callipers were fine. Also had a health check that said brake pads were 60% worn. Took car to another garage and they said everything was fine and showed me the brakes (not worn) and that all worked fine. Took some images and video on phone and took car back to Vauxhall Evans Halshaw who then decided they could pass the MOT and said brakes were fine, but now the problem was stuck callipers and not discs / pads. So maybe they didn't look properly the first time or don't fully know what they are doing. Don't think I will take car back here again!

“Total disgrace never trust Evans halshaw”

I was sold a defective car my Vauxhall Evans halshaw. I had too pay 50 pounds for an independent report to dispute the constant lies from the Evans halshaw sales team. The sale team and management are a total bunch of untrustworthy men and should never be trusted.

“Warranty work to vivaro van”

Yes my vivaro van was booked into the Gateshead dealership for investigation in to a steering problem under the warranty ,when booking the vechile in over the phone I was asked to give a description of the faults steering and others, I asked for the smallest time spot possible ,as I run a buisness did not want the van away ages ,I was give a two hour slot and had to be there for 10.30 and would have the van back no later than 12.30 great. Reality got there at 10.30 was told I should have got for 9 and the van was to be left for the day and i had got it wrong no I said I have an email confirming what I had a 10 .30 slot , no I was told we only text when i. Produced the e mail copy , that's odd she said ,no apology but if I left it for the rest of the they might be able to look at it ,what's wrong with it she asked ? I told her that I had arranged a job at 1 pm and left. What bunch of jokers Aviod these time wasting idiots

“Terrible customer service”

Consistently terrible customer service. Booked my car in (2 year old Ibiza at the time) a few days after buying it because of a problem with the speakers. When I got there the rude lady on the service desk told me I should take it Seat because it's still under warranty, which is fair enough, but she didn't get my point when I said I shouldn't have been booked in in the first place, wasted my time. Then after a year when I brought my car in for a service they gave me a chavy Corsa courtesy car with a black stripe down it, petrol light flashing red, when I returned to collect my car they hadn't washed or vacuumed it, but to their credit they gave me £20 off when I argued. Then they told me they hadn't been able to switch the service light off so asked me to bring it back the following week so they could take it 'somewhere else', which I did. A year later I bring it in again for second service - another courtesy car that is flashing red. I return to collect my car, and again notice it hasn't been washed or vacuumed. I wait and see if the lady on the desk volunteers this information before asking for payment, she doesn't, so I tell her it hasn't been washed or vacuumed, haggle to get £20 off like last time. And they give me an extortionate price for new front pads/discs, which I decline. Later I notice the service light/beep is on, I ring up, speak to the service dept, very rude, dismissive and argumentative woman, says they 'don't switch service lights off on Seats', I respond that isn't what they said last time when they actually asked me to bring it back in to get turned off and that this is something they should have made clearer at an earlier stage, but never had. Eventually agrees for me to bring it in. I've decided I don't want to deal with them again, so don't bring the car in. The service when I bought the car was good, but almost every interaction after that has been extremely poor. When you're paying £150 for service and MOT you at least expect staff not to be rude, they're naive to think people are happy to pay over the odds for things like brakes when the service is so terrible. I will never deal with this dealership again.

“Useless, ”

Worst mechanics I have ever used, taken my van in on three separate occasions to have same problem looked at. My van is 2years old and still under warranty, each time I've picked van up it has been in worst condition than when I dropped it off, I honestly think they know wot the problem is but have no intentions in replacing part just keep resetting fault code and waiting until warranty runs out, I picked it up after last visit after being reassured if was running perfect and had been on a half hour test drive to find four warning lights on,one saying stop brake fault and steering faulty which was working fine when I dropped if off, would definitely avoid dealing with them you will regret it

“PUSHY SALES STAFF”

I only made a query over the phone to see a car and the salesman was so smarmy and up himself that I decided not to go and see the car. Is being female a red light to these people that they think you have half a brain? Told me I'd better come quickly in case the car got sold within the hour. Yeah right!

“Used bag of bolts”

Bought a car 2 days before Xmas 2014 . Car steering was all over the place car was filthy inside and half the paint work was not done as promised . Took it in for repairs steering fixed scratches done but still using same dirty cloth to clean inside . Collected car NEW scratch on bumper quater of tank of fuel used and clutch NOW on its way out . Was told to take it back today stood there 30 mins was told I'll have to bring it back in 5 days . Paid all this money and it looks great on driveway shame it can't do anything else . Would recommend to people who enjoy a challenge or are just plain daft

“Don't Trust them”

We would defiantly not recommend this dealers if you have a car to part exchange. We took our car in to exchange with a fair price and knowing how much our car was worth. The sale man we dealt with told us that there was no way that they could offer us the price that we wanted as they would be make a loss on selling it. So we accepted his offer. How stupid was I to believe him. I really regret selling my car to them. And believing what he said. When we looked on their web site 2days later, what did we see our car on for £2500 profit. I know sale man have the gift of the gab And they are in Business to make a profit, but not to lie to get to that aim, I will never take my Business to them again and go to a garage that will tell the truth and give you a fair price

Bought a brand new I10 in May from the advisor at this dealership. They quoted me a price for the new car and my part ex over the phone and stuck to it when we went to do the deal. There was a small problem with the car which was sorted promptly. Good communication from the dealership with calls always returned. Would recommend (in fact I did and my dad bought the same car a week later).

“atrer sales sevice - JOKE”

I bought a car in NOv 2013. Within a week it was back in the garage. On 3.1.2013 the key jammed in the ignnition. I rang service and they said they could book the car in on 10th.January. They went on to say that it was my responsibilty to have the key removed as they could not guarantee the security of the car with the key locked in the ignition. This car is neccessary as my father is undergoing treatment for cancer in various hospitals but this means nothing to them. Be aware before you have any dealing with these people.

“Time wasters”

I chose to visit The dealership after researching online a current Chevrolet offer. Evans halshaw Gateshead was the nearest dealership to me. I telephoned in advance requesting a rough valuation on my current vehicle I was considering part exchange. After speaking to a most helpful receptionist my call was not returned by a member of the sales team for over six hours, when he did call he knew nothing of my request for a valuation and said he would ring me back within the hour. Two days later I telephoned asking if anyone could help, I spoke to a different salesman who assured me if I could put down a £99 deposit the difference would be made up with my part exchange as a deposit of £1355 was required to access the offer. I visited the dealership and nearly 2 hours later told that they would offer me £350 for my car but I needn't worry I could pay £126 a month instead of the £99 deal I originally inquired after. I left feeling every effort I had made to make sure I wasn't wasting my time had been in vain, my advice don't waste your time. If a deal seems too good to be true it probably is!
