Appalling Company - Avoid Like The Plague
Absolutely appalling customer service, waiting nearly 7 months for the correct documents, constantly fobbed off and lied to, would not buy a car from this company ever again.
They have now been reported to the Motor Ombudsman who will be investigating their conduct.
You're better off sourcing your car from an alternative!

Broken Car!
what a joke of a company.
this is the second car iv had of this company
and both have been broken
i thought this was just a one of with the
first one but no.
bought a citroen grand picasso c4 had it for 2 days broke down
a thew times.. they have now had it for 7 weeks more than iv had it
utter joke they still have it to this date.
found out turbo is gone on it stop start sothing wrong with it
seats at the very back needs a new frame and a thew other bits.
this is not acceptable!
and to top it of they asked me if i wanted another car! to replace
the broken one and they will buy my broken one back but will lose
£1000 ermmm dont think so.
the car they offered me omg it is a shed ripped seats dents all over it
and so on just have a look at the video of this renault 7 seater why would you
put up a video of a car in so much of a mess?
i am going down on wed too see this idiot that sold me this dodgy car if
its not sorted out then they can stick the car up we're the sun dont shine
and also they can explain! too the finance!

Took my Kia into Arnold Clark Seafield this morning to be met with 3 unsmiling service agents sitting behind a desk. First asked how I was going to pay - informed them it was an Arnold Clark lease car which they should have known. Then an inquisition regarding my driving licence, points etc and wanted to contact Licence Bureau. Did I have number etc which I didn't or NI number which I didn't. Informed them I just wanted to drop my lease car off for service and get a courtesy car. Eventually walked out so car not serviced. Appallingly poor customer service

Bad Service
Took car in for MOT and service on Monday but also advised a problem with ERG valve. Spoke to customer advisor on the Friday before and was told part was about £140.00 and labour charges were minimal. Received phone call on the Monday and was told cost of renewal of valve would be £600.00. Told advisor he must be having a laugh, the part can be bought on the internet for £135 and on Utube video was fitted within 45 mins, Arnold's claimed took 2 and a half hours to fit. Told proceed with the service and forget valve. Failed MOT due to split bush told new bush was in stock ok proceed. Another phone call told it was the wrong bush and new one would not arrive until following day first thing. Advised need car for 12 pm Tuesday and they said no problem it would be stripped ready for the part arriving. Called for car Tueday 12pm it had not been touched still outside, was told 3pm ready, called 3 pm car was not ready until 3.45. Have been customer for 10 years and a good relationship with them, but no more. Local garage supplied and fitted ERG valve £245 job done.Will not be back to Arnold Clark and will never advise anyone to go there,

Poor Customer Service Ripped Off
bought my first cleo from Arnold Clark seafield Edinburgh three years ago new also got four years servicing never received any post card or phone call to say my car was due a service after a couple off years thought i should have had a service so called them yes they said it was due a service so i took it down to them that was fine now the car is due its first MOT again i had to deal with it i also needed them to look at my drivers door as it has dropped a bit and you have to give it a good pull to close took it down on the 1/10/2015 told them was going away for a couple off weeks left the car with them got back on the 16th went for car paid for MOT asked about the door was told they do not have a machine shop but if i took it to sighthill they would look at it took to sighthill no they don't have a machine shop also was told nowhere in Edinburgh with a machine shop phoned costumers service explained every thing to them they said they would deal with it but still not herd from them called back but being ignored now my warranty runs out in a couple off weeks so looks like i have been screwed went to trade in just before i went on holiday paid 12000 for it was told my car is only worth 3500 for car only got 16000 on clock looks like arnauld clark has screwed me for my car would never but another from them again

Poor Service, Crazy Prices
Be very careful if using this outfit for servicing and Mot. My Kia failed due to an exhaust flexipipe failing. Arnold Clark quoted £365 for the work. One phone call to McConechys and they quoted £155. I picked the car up, took it to them and they fitted the part in 30 minutes.
To add insult to injury some warranty work that was supposed to take a day ended up taking three. No courtesy car, no explanation, was left stranded 20 miles from home causing huge inconvenience.
Avoid. There are far better and cheaper places to get your car maintained.

they are not honest enough and only care when you are buying.i bought a car at 14000 it had sratches on the bonnet and stone chips under the grill.they were not going to fix it till i reported them to trading standards.they were to respray the bonnet and the paint chips under the grill but only patched the bonnet.was to get compensation still waiting dont buy a car from them

Very Bad Service
I reserved a car without seeing it as they convinced me that it will be sold over the next days.
I had an appointment after 4 days to see the car and they call me to inform me that the car was not available yet an hour before.
I had another appointment after 5 days and I went to see it but the car was not there again and they didn’t bother calling me and postpone it.
Obviously, I have cancelled the reservation and now 10 days after I haven’t got the deposit back.. Just don’t ever go and buy anything from that store!

This lot couldn't run a drunken night in a pub.
Put my Seat Exeo in for a service today. Chinned the woman behind the desk about Arnold Clark's dodgy warranty scheme.
Treated me like something you scrape of your shoe.
So, I called them once I got home. But, did I get any satisfaction, NO, I DID NOT.
A guy called me, pretending this matter was getting sorted out, but told me he would call the persons who were dealing with the matter tomorrow.
Just to clarify the situation, I bought this car form AC Last August, and haven't been able to get a radio signal. Put the car in to be checked, but surprise surprise, was told there was nothing wrong with the radio, and was told, while they had it in the garage, the radio worked ok.
After sometime, and some verble over the phone, I managed to get them to agree to fit an external aerial, and was told to take the car to a company called Ray Smith down at Dunbar.
I am still waiting for the aerial to be fitted, and when It was mentioned at AC today, the incompetent person on the desk started barking at me.
People, LEAVE ARNOLD CLARK ALONE> IF YOU WANT TO BUY A CAR< GO TO A BETTER COMPANY>
