Great customer service from a man at Paisley, great experience from start to finish, couldn't rate high enough, the staff in Paisley are so welcoming and genuinely make an experience of buying a car so easy. Would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a new car. Thanks everyone at Paisley especially the man I dealt with.

The service I received from all of the aftersales staff was second to none. They all seemed genuinely interested and were extremely pleasant. I will definitely be back again for the next service.

if I could give this place less than a 1* to leave a review I would. Disgusting shambolic service from these sleazy unhelpful salesmen. Managers haven't got a clue what they are doing. When I called and tried to explain calmly the depth and importance of having my car fixed. The sales manager actually said. " Aw im not really sure what to do maybe try call back Monday " So unhelpful and unprofessional. I will never buy a car from here again.

Three year old car for first MOT and Service. The Car had 25 point service in OCTOBER 2017 and PASSED with a warning that front tyres needed replace - Today at MOT - I'm informed that it needs new tyres and said Yes and you have to replace them. IT'S only done 16,000 miles. I was told the car needed replacement parts for exhaust, and brakes but would be covered by warranty. I missed the phone call from technician and made my way back to showroom - Receptionist said she would get technician to come and speak to me! Two hours later I asked where the technicians was- told they couldn't find him! Nearing 4pm told my car ready bearing in mind I've been there since 8am and had to wait till tyres delivered--- told that the brakes needed cleaned and grease replaced??? WHY wasn't I asked if I wanted this done when the car was waiting for the new tyres?? They had the car All day! Some of the parts will be replace through warranty which runs out next month! Well the Bill came to £536 FOR service MOT and 2 new tyres-- I'm going to another dealer in August for a new car and it won't be Arnold Clark!! POOR/LACK of Communication skills and they think if your a woman you know nothing about cars - I will get the brakes cleaned and work done before warranty runs out but after that = I've already chosen my Next New Car elsewhere!

Will never buy any car from them again . Be careful when you buying any extra plan cover for your car , will never cover anything because they will tell you is your foult. They had my car for service , after week driving brake down again with the same problem , went to private garage check and they said iwhoever fix your car no fine a good job , so came back to Arnold Clark complain and ask to fix it again and they said to me sorry but you have to pay £109 to get your car for service again even is them foult ! Avoid this company !

I decided to purchase a Corsa from Arnold Clark this weekend. Mr Meechan, an apparently nice chap, talked us through a number of cars that were out of the budget we discussed with him (good psychological work from the guy). Suddenly he went to talk to his boss and decided to offer us a lifetime opportunity: purchasing a Corsa not yet on the market, with listed manufacturer price of 14k, at a mere 9k. As the car itself its pretty awful looking due to tacky stripes all around, Mr Meechan was nice enough to offer us the change of charging us 400 extra pounds so we will get the car still on budget, slightly over 10k. What a gent! Folks, we checked Vauxhal's website; said car is not worth more than 9k. Plus we got a phone quote from another A.C. dealer offering same car for 8k. False advertising, ensuring us a safe of 5k that wasn't real as manufacturer price is not retail price, may not be ilegal. Doing this to a pregnant woman days before Christmas is, to say the less, shady.

Bought my Renault from East Lane. Took it back under warranty a few weeks later. Most faults fixed but the rattles couldn't be traced. Gen Manager was involved - Slimey Geezer. Still have the faults and car now out of warranty. After sales service is awful - AVOID!

went to linwood (glasgow) to look for a car, on arrival i was met by a salesman, he seemed nice and asked us what car we were looking for. we went to his desk checked thru the cars and picked one out. went outside to have a look at the car were the salesman told us to jump in and have a look. i sat on the seat and as i was getting out the salesman walked away sayin thats the car for you. giving that i had no chance to check the exterior of the car as i was rushed back into office. after agreeing the fee i paid £100 deposit. the salesman told me to change my insurance there and then and i could drive the car away the following day. i felt like i was getting rushed into a decision but changed the insurance anyways. he also said the car i was trading in would go straight to auction as its had its day. (2010 plate sport sri 1.4 vauxhall 31k miles on clock) which i thought was strange as when i bought ther car a few years back they said it was a hard car to get a hold of and is very saleable. anyways after the order form was signed i went to go properly view the car as i felt rushed and pressured into the office. on inspection i noticed several deep marks and scratches all over the car. i was not happy with this and went into the shop and told the salesman who said they would put a pen over the marks to blend it in and it would take 'your eye' off it. leaving linwood i went to another arnold clark for a 2nd opinion as i had felt i was bullyed/rushed into buying the car and would not be 100% happy known the car had all the scratches and marks. the 2nd arnold clark advised this should not be the case and if i wanted to pick a car from the stock at there branch they would transfer the £100 deposit and deal with the linwood branch (as i didnt want to deal with the aggresive saleman) i picked a car and was happy with the service i recieved from the 2nd garage known they were going to dealer with the linwood branch with transfer of deposit and cancelling my order. i travelled home 80 miles away the following day to just get home and i recieve a phone call from the same salesman at linwood garage shouting down the phoe being aggresive and trying to bully me to pick up the car i first looked at. he said i had signed a contract and i was the owner of the car (even tho it was just a order form) after the salesman being aggresive towards me i apologised but was informed that the 2nd arnold clark garage would phone to cancel my order and transfer the £100 deposit as i explained the salesman hung up the phone. minutes later i got a call but did not answer due to being busy i had a voicemail from the same aggresive saleman from linwood trying to bully me saying i had signed a legal document and the car was mines and when was i picking it up. i did not return the call but phoned the 2nd arnold clark back up and explained what had happened. they were also shocked and dissapointed at the customer service i had received from linwood branch and the 2nd branch would deal with the saleman. i have also put a complaint into arnold clark head office in glasgow about the service i recieved as i felt bullied and pressured into buying a car and then recieving aggresive phone calls from a rude salesman from linwood. i felt pritty terrible that i may have 2 cars to pay for because it wasnt cancelled by the other arnold clark. i will also want to point out that the 2nd arnold clark was the arnold clark motorstore on the london road glasgow. there service was 100 times better and i felt at ease speaking to the advisors there. i would recommened them and wish i had went there first as this problem wopuld not have happened. i hope no one else has to deal with this.

Was sold a Hyundai and one of the reasons I bought it was the fact I was told it was still under warranty. I've now found out the car was an irish import and had 2 years less warranty, and that it had expired before I bought the car! Paisley branch are refusing to honour the warranty I was told repeatedly came with the car. Disgusted at their attitude. This is just the latest in list of problems with it. They delivered it without the service book or spare key and told me they were in the post. It was literally months of calls and getting lied to by the Paisley branch before head office intervened and I got the service book and an uncoded spare key. They put the car under my partners name, so now he is the registered keeper of my car?! The cd player then broke and needed replaced and now the clutch has packed in. The car only had 6000 miles on the clock when I bought it last summer It should have been covered by warranty if I believed what i was told by the salesman. Wish I'd never gone near this branch. Avoid.

bought brand new antarra 62 plate had problems from day one with water ingress in light and sticking door. Booked in for repairs a week later door still sticking rebooked again all day in garage for a little maintenance spray - collected car blah blah door didnt open oh maybe faulty latch rebooked again full day off the road few months later (this is back passenger very rarely used) problem rose again back in oh it fixed this time amazing because i had to pay !! 3 year warranty means nothing as this is apparently under '6 month new car policy' never mind i had the problem from day one and that the Linwood Vauxhall mechanic failed to spot this ;) think it time to get on to consumer/trading standards

Bought a used car for a female relative from Arnold Clark Paisley, along with service and MOT for two years. The car was taken in for its MOT after one year and it failed on numerous points, with a quote of several hundred pounds to put the car through the MOT. She took it to another garage and the car passed first time. I will never go near Arnold Clark again.

i bought a ford c max from Arnold clark and had 2 years servicing and the day before i took it for its second service i had it in for its MOT at my local garage which it passed no problem but the following day at A C after they serviced it they told me it needed a new tyre, brake pads, disks and window wypers. I looked at the guy and laughed and told him that it sailed threw its MOT 24 hours earlier but he still had the cheek to try and get me to spend nearly 400 which i did not because they are full of BS.

Bought a car from Arnold Clark in Paisley. The salesman took me round to the car and it was in a puddle so couldn't get a proper look and he said there was no scratches, marks etc on it, I couldnt see any marks on it. Got the car a week later and as soon as i got in i noticed a funny smell and also noticed scratches on the side of the roof. The car is a convertible so the salesman showed me how to put up and down the roof (after 15 minutes of trying to find out for himself) When he eventually got the roof down the boot was covered in leaves to which he said .. this is terrible it should have been cleaned and then picked about 2 leaves out. After driving the car home still noticed the funny smell and said to my parents who could cleary smell it as well. Couple of days later when it was heavy raining went out to my car to go to work and the floor was wet, the doors inside were damp and the smell was even worse, the seatbelt was covered in dirty marks also. Complained to Arnold Clark and took the car back up, a couple of days later they contacted me and said

Dealer was all nice and polite in day i bought my fiat brave from the arnold clark in springburn but when i went to pick up was rude and i felt like i was annoying him. just took my car to get the brake lights fixed as they were on constantly and they tell me my warranty doesnt cover it!!! and costs me £52. also told me when i bought the car that it was still under 3 years manufacturers warranty but when i went to get the brakes fixed they told me it was an import from northern ireland and therefore only had 2 years manufacturers warranty!!!. very poor service and staff!!!

Bought new car from Arnold Clark with service plan. First clutch gone on the car and gear start sticking. Dealer changed the clutch. but very poor service, they don't use the recommended oil. On first service gave front tyres quote £300+ and said the tyres needs replacing took the car to tyre dealer and they said it was ok run to 3-4 months. New tyres from Moto Greenock just £140. Second service just after 20k miles same dealer tells me that the brake pads are gone and cost £100+.

I bought a Toyota Corolla from here and bought the Service agreement in with the finance. After 2-1/2 months of problems with the car I rejected/resinded the car. I was told to choose another car from stock and did and I am happy with it. The dealership have just called up after 3-4 months and said the outstanding finance on the car needs to be paid off or re-financed so they can sell the old car. This is about £1000. I called "Consumer Direct" and they told me that when the car was rejected that the whole deal is rejected including the finance and service agreement. I called Black Horse and informed them of this to be told that I cannot cancel the finance it has to be done by the Dealer, even though it is in my name. So the dealership have to unpick the deal! If I had not put the Service Plan in with the finance I would have been stuck with a non-transferable to my new car or non-refundable service plan. My advice is not to take a service plan at all from Arnold Clark go direct to the manufacturer and ask them for one if you want one. Consumer Direct is an excellent service which told me this is covered under The Consumer Credit Act 1974 sect 75 the finance company has joint liability for the deal. Also The Sale of Goods Act 1979 as amended (this is for the dealer). Also the dealership either knew this and tried to get me to pay this off or they didn't know which is even worse! You make your own mind up which it is!

My wife and I recently bought a nice new Vauxhall Tigra from an Arnold Clark garage on the phoenix industrial estate at Linwood. We got a good deal as the car was the exclusive model and came with all the added extras aircon leather seats etc... As usual the sales man was very helpful during the sale.
However we have now found since the sale that things were added on to the finance that we didn ' t agree or were informed about. They added on the cost of road tax which when we asked "does it come with road tax" the sales man said yes but failed to inform us it was at extra cost he also he charged us an extra £80 for car mats. My wife has since been back and tried to discuss the matter with the sales man but he insists he told us the tax wasn ' t included and we didn ' t tick the boxes to opt out of the optional extras i.e. Car mats. If these are optional then surely you should opt in not out. The main problem here is that it was added on to the finance and we are now paying interest on it.
Needless to say I won't be buying, servicing or repairing any cars at an Arnold Clark garage again.
Remember sales men are just that sales men they usually work on commission and will try to drive a hard sale. Use this to your advantage shop around play them off against each other and don't be afraid to walk out if you don't get what you want. The reason they build rapport with you is so you buy from them and not to befriend them. Cars are always over priced even if they say they knocked £2000 off the price they will come down a bit, When trading in a car do you're research get hold of a Parker's guide and find out how much your car is worth for trade in tell them you want more than they are offering for it as they will try and give you less than it ' s worth. You can also get the price down on the % apr if they won't budge just tell them you will get a loan instead.

Bought an extended warranty at £395 for Corsa (02 Plate). Warranty states to cover mechanical and electrical faults. Just three months later car breaks down with an electrical fault which I have now learned is very common with Corsas.
Surprise, surprise Arnold Clark and Autocare both refuse to carry out repair under warranty.
This warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.
Staff are your best friends when you are buying but after you purchase they do not want to know you.
Be aware.

I took my car back to them after they botched the engine repair.
When they botched it they broke the pipe leading to the climate control!!
At first they tried to deny it was them, but after I had reminded them that the pipe is in the area where they done the repair they caved in and agreed to fix it at their own expense.
They took the car in to fix it, and low and behold called to tell me the engine cooling fan was broken!
when I suggested that it was working the day b4, I was told it was the fan for the climate control.
After telling them the climate control was switched off I got a nervous reply that it would cost £450 to replace it!!!
And by the time I got down there? Yeah, you've guessed it, by magic, the engine cooling fan was working fine!!

warranties are worth the paper their printed on. I bought a new antara been in 4 times with door problem and guess what its not covered under 3 year warranty it apparently covered under the '6 month new policy' and even though my car has been in first month they are refusing to acknowledge that this definitely a mechanic fault for making up excuses but when i have to pay it is fixed!!

not surprised the service from them is absolutely appalling. they wanted to charge me 345.00 to change oil this is a service so i took to another garage and got the filters changed oil changed etc a proper service for less than half the money!!
