“Appalling customer service ”

Absolutely dreadful customer experience. We had a pre-arranged appointment that was running behind schedule. Having a young child with us make this a stressful experience. When we asked when we were likely to be seen we were met with a rude aggressive tone and told that the appointment was running late and it takes over 45 mins so to expect a much longer wait. Not once was an apology offered. The person we were dealing with was just rude and arguing and full of an attitude for no reason. This was the worse customer service I have ever received and I will never step foot in an Arnold Clark again.

“Excellent ”

During the pandemic I don’t think Arnold Clark Altrincham could of been any more helpful than they were. Got the deal done over the net and phone within a day and car was all ready on day/time we agreed. The adviser was a star and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for their next car.

“faulty car ...false m.o.t i think..rubbish”

My daughter bought a car from them .really nice..now 3 months later the faults have began ....will not go into to much detail... do not touch them .... do not take a warrenty out with them not worth paper its on.....TOTAL RUBBISH AVOID AT ALL COSTS .....Dont b a mug ....

“Very Poor Service”

Purchased a brand new Kia, from sales to service appalling, avoid like the Plague! Ordered car with additional accessories which even after 3 weeks waiting for delivery and calling to check the car was ready for collection were not fitted when we went to pick the car up.(1st trip back) No pre delivery check carried out internal panel needed to be replaced as faulty.(2nd trip back) VR7 Decal peeling off, returned again (3rd trip back) replaced in pouring rain but peeling off again before left the forecourt. Internal rattling/buzzing in 3 internal panels took in to check, reply from technician (who are not specifically Kia trained, as they asked me for the service book which I hadn't taken, when I said I didn't think it was needed the lady at the service desk advised they did to see where things were????) It's normal noise for a 3 cylinder engine??? The rattling in the steering column is there when the car engine is off and you shut the door! Complained to Kia who spoke to the garage and responded with the garage found nothing wrong!! Choose another dealer please, you buy a brand new car to avoid the stress not when dealing with Arnold Clark Altrincham!

“Purchased a used Kia Ceed from the Altrincham branch,...”

Purchased a used Kia Ceed from the Altrincham branch, had a generally good experience as the initial car I had wanted was not in stock but was told that a similar one could be ordered from the main depot in Scotland and this would take about a week. Dealt with the main sales manager a very pleasant person called John. He was probably the main reason for purchasing the vehicle, I also met the manager and he seemed nice enough as well but I didn't really have much to do with him.

Just under a week later I received a phonecall that my car was here so i went and test drove it, I was told by John that it would be ready the following day as it still needed valeting, which was not a problem as it was the weekend and I fully appreciate that the valeting staff were not there that day.

On the collection day John was not there so I dealt with another of the salesmen called Matthew. He was absolutely shocking, first impressions... I told him who I was and that I had come to collect said car. He said to me that it was parked on the forecourt and that he didn't have the keys and I would have to go retrieve the allocated key number for me to have a look at the car. That was only a minor point however a little bit of customer service goes a long way.

When I was looking at the vehicle I asked Matthew if the rear seats on the hatchback folded downwards and he said no. I said that I was sure they would as it is a hatchback, after he wouldnt show me i went about showing him and to this he responded he has one and his cars don't, his whole attitude was terrible. I'm not sure whether it was beacuse he wouldnt be given any credit for the sale or if it was because his attitude was always like that. I even asked him in regards to the warranty included with the vehicle and he said he did't know but more details were on the website.

That said I drove away with the vehicle thinking that had Matthew been the initial salesman I would not have purchased my car from there.

One of the biggest things though I would say to people prior to purchasing is to ask how many owners the vehicle has and whether it has been owned by a hire company in the past. I asked the first of the two questions and seemed happy with the fact that the car was 2 years old and had one owner. Upon receiving the log book I can see that the vehicle was owned by Hertz which if I had known this at the start I would not have purchased this car. But I did not have the option of checking this because Arnold Clark Altrincham had already sent the log book to the DVLA prior to me collecting the car. Maybe its my fault for not getting suspicious and thinking that they were actually being helpful.

All in all it was a mixed bag for me but truth be known had I known the car I was purchasing had, had more than one owner who had hired the car for short periods of time I would not have bought the car. If you are buying a car from here just be very careful to check the number of owners and who that owner actually was.

“I swapped a 2006 plate pegeout 207 car for a 54 plate...”

I swapped a 2006 plate pegeout 207 car for a 54 plate corsa diesil from arnold clark altricham last april 2010 since July 2010 i have had nothing but problems with it. After over 800 pound of my money and no further was i to getting my car driveable i phoned arnold clark to see what they could do for me they led me to believe that they was going to help me and aid me into getting a car that i could trust and drive, only to tell me that my car has in 8 months depreciated by 2000 pound!!!!!!!!!!!even though the same type of car is selling on their fourcourts now for over 3500. They had no intention of helping me they was just trying to get more money from me and rip me off even more im disgusted the way they have behaved and the way i have been treated. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!

“I nneded a part for my Honda and visited Arnold Clark...”

I nneded a part for my Honda and visited Arnold Clark in Altricham however part was not in stock but they assured me part would be delivered AM the next day, as I was working next day until 1pm and dept closed at 12.30pm I was advised part could be left in car sales for collection as they were open until 5.30pm. Arrived next day sadly after the opening/closing of several draws sales staff were unaware of a part left for collection, however they took a contact number and once again assured me that they get their parts dept to give me a ring first thing Monday morning and explain reason for shortcoming, unfortunately it's now almost 2pm on May 19th and still no call from Arnold Clark Altrincham.
