This fridge freezer easily dents. We have had many appliances and all have been in visually new condition for more than a decade. The LG is made of very thin material. The manufacturer says that the dents are only cosmetic and will not affect the workings. A specialist workman is required to provide and fit a new part. The lightest touch mars the appearance I would not recommend this Make to anyone who wants their kitchen to look smart and respectable.

WE PURCHASED AN LG GRL207TUJA IN SEPTEMBER 2008 WHEN WE MOVED INTO A NEW HOUSE. HAND ON HEART WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THE LOSS OF FREEZER SPACE TAKEN UP BY THE WATER/ICE DISPENSER ALTHOUGH IT IS A GODSEND IN THE SUMMER. THE WATER FILTER CARTRIDGES ARE ALSO A LITTLE EXPENSIVE IN MY VIEW (£56). I RECENTLY BOUGHT A CHEAPER ONE FROM AMAZON WHICH WAS AS MUCH USE AS A CHOCOLATE FIREGUARD. THE SEALS ARE RUBBISH, I EVEN TRIED FITTING BRAND NEW 1/4 INCH TUBE TO NO AVAIL. OVERALL I HAVE TO SAY IVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY WITH IT AND WOULD CERTAINLY BUY LG AGAIN.

LG Fridge Freezer GRL207TUJA
Stopped freezing about 6 weeks ago, after being in use for about two and half years.
Did not call LG, due to bad reviews on their customer service, and outside warranty. Instead called local household appliance repair service. So far, 5x visits, they have changed the compressor, regassed 3x and the gas is still leaking.
Most recent visit today the technician bypassed the pipe running round the back of the fridge as a last attempt to stop the gas leaking.
Low expectation of it still working this time tomorrow.
So far spent ~£400 getting repaired... still does not work?
Rubbish.
Also a big crack has appeared on the inside left wall of the freezer wall... where did that come from.

Worked fine for 23 months, warranty is for 24 months, then in the 24th month freezer stopped freezing. Emailed LG but have had no reply. Not good customer service

Im pleased to have found this information! Ive had mine for two years and it started to defrost and made crackling sounds like other review mentioned. Ive just paid £100 to get new gas put in and less than 24 hrs later defrosted again! Dont buy I say!

Loved this, good spec, good price. Worked very well and made ice faster than we could use.
We heard some strange noises in the house a while ago, (cracking noises) couldn't identify where from.
Went into freezer section last week to have a sort out and found 2 large cracks on inside liner (250mm long). Spoke to LG, 'never heard of this before' out of warranty, so not interested.
Fortunately had extended cover, appliance was inspected and is beyond repair and will be replaced.
Not sure if I'd get another LG.....although difficult to match spec at that price now.

Had the fridge/freezer for 2 years no problems then the thing started getting noisy and suddenly defrosted. The company LG are useless and local engineers refuse to fix it.

bought this refrigerator just over a yr ago... all of a sudden it defrosted and will not re-freeze.. lost all the food because of this..LG tell me they hadnt heard of it happening before but obviously im not the only one with this prob... Very very bad customer service...she didnt care for my problem

Brilliant fridge/freezer. Loads of storage space in both the fridge and the freezer. Ice is instantly there - both cubes and crushed, which has been great for our British summer! The size is perfect because some we looked at were absolute monsters and would swamp a kitchen. Ours is almost "ladylike" in size. The brushed silver colour looks good as well. Sales people at Comet told us everything we needed to know and the aftersales from LG have been excellent. I would buy the LG GRL207TUJA again if I needed to.

LG GRL207TUJA - motor runs constantly and freezer fails to reach temperature required. Total contents lost 3 times in one year. Having difficulty in getting a replacement

Have the same issue!!! Been on the phone to LG this morning and they are telling me the customer that I must find my own replacement fridge until they can get the part to fix the problem! In the meantime they (LG) refuse to replace it, even though it is only 12 months old, tell me that they might assist with cost of renting a fridge if we submit quotes etc.. the smell is so bad it is making me feel ill!! Would not recommend any LG fridge. Not good customer service at all.

I also bought the dame fridge freezer in July 2010 and after 18months found large horizontal cracks in the rear lining panel of the fridge and freezer compartment. Just out of warrantee and LG don't seem interested!
There is obviously a serious defect with the internal linings of this product. LG need to to put out a recall or face loosing their reputation
