I've used them since they started as I still hobby restored Brit classics on retirement and never had any probs until recently. I never used their auction as I don't like way they operate it's too expensive to set up. I put in my own fully restored Moggy Convertible last year and last week I had to renew it.Then they showed that now they are run by arrogant clueless youngsters. They listed it with VAT which isn't applicable as private + as a project and that explained why I've had no enquiries for at least two months.Who would pay £9.5K plus Vat for a Moggie Convertible? Trying to correspond with them over this was painful and it was obvious the person was getting ratty. Then it was taken off completely and they would not talk about this. So beware as they are no longer a professional business. Seems to be since they were sold to a company called Cazana who when I sent their CEO a letter about all this, they sent it back as not known?? As they are handling large sums of money on their auctions and are deliberately hiding who they are and where they are..no phone number and no address is seen on their website. No names of who is in charge. ALL THE HALLMARKS OF A BUSINESS UP TO NO GOOD. BEWARE I HAD TO LOOK THEM UP ON COMPANIES HOUSE RECORDS.

I bought a Rolls-Royce from 2014, with only 53.000 km. Description said the car was, although repainted, in great condition. I went to take a look and found out the paintjob was done very bad, not even matching a 500 euro car. The description was right they said, and my downpayment (15k!!) will not be returned! The commercial interest for keeping the seller in did weigh more then mine, so for this sham they simply look away. This makes it a crooked organization!

I've attempted to communicate with this operation. I've asked to preview a car that is listed on the site. I never receive a response, I've never been able to set up a meeting to inspect a car. If it's too good to be true it usually is. If they can't properly communicate prior to the sale, what makes you think they can deliver or better yet, how can you trust them with your money? Beware

I made tentative enquiries about listing a car and received nothing but spam and constant hassling by some bloke. Extended to sending these hassling emails on Christmas Day, St Stephens Day, 27th Dec etc. Never experienced anything like it. Just a hard hard sell with no idea how to do business with cherished high value classics. More like a Cheap Used Car Seller

I sold my classic car through carandclassic with their auctions and had a great experience. They made my car look professional with great pictures and text. My car sold for above its market value without a hassle. I'm really satisfied with them and will keep on using this website for either selling or buying.

They are working in hand with their friends to sell fire hazardous cars and dont care at all, no ethics or morals at all.

Do not Auction with Car and Classic, My car sold last night for £18,000. Today I'm told the buyer doesn't want it and is backing out and nothing I can do about it. They get 5% cancelation fee so there not bothered in taking it further...Use Collecting cars.

I placed my Classic Alfa on the site and was inundated with responses and calls. Sold quickly to the second viewer!
Couldn't be happier, and I didn't get any canvassers or fraudsters. Its hard to believe its free really. And its good for just a browse too as theres loads of interesting cars.
Theres nothing not to like really, you cant complain because its free and you can easily filter any modern cars that have snuck on to the site. And i have noticed a magazine in tesco? I believe you can get your car in this for free too.

I bought my classic Aston Martin off Car And Classic using their free classified ads. I was going through my second youth (well, its really my third...) so I decided to get my hands on a classic.
I like www.carandclassic.co.uk because they list loads of classic cars for sale from all over the country.
The only thing I found was that there are some modern cars like Daewoos that have found their way onto this website. I m not mad on modern cars sneaking onto classic car websites.
