My event was cancelled the day before due to lack of make numbers. My first point would be that they must have realised this for a while and should have taken the decision earlier to cancel as it was very inconvenient. However my main issue is that the email telling us it was cancelled did not say anything about getting a refund and said I had been booked on the next event. I don't think that is right and people who don't know their consumer rights would be fooled into thinking they couldn't get a refund. I emailed to say I would like a refund and the reply was - did I look at the other dates and again did not say I could have a refund. it was only when I pushed the point and said no I want a refund that this was processed. I think this is bad business practice and again penalises people who don't know their rights. It has put me off using you again.

I attended 3 of these events in Exeter, first one was very good, ( 5 star ) quite well organized etc But on the next 2 events in December, the first one there was 20 guys and 10 girls only, the second one there was 20 guys and only 9 girls. These events only work well with equal numbers of both sex's.

Was considering booking an event this week in Oxford, but this was listed as postponed (probably because of the fair). So I contacted the chat to ask about the new date since there was no indication of one on the schedule. The response I got was generic at best: "Thanks for your email. All the next dates are listed up on our website Was less than impressed, if it's cancelled completely say so is that so difficult? Even if they do get there acts together and reschedule doubt I'd bother. Bottom line work on your communication.

The event was nicely organised, and the website easy to use. The chosen venue was also good. I enjoyed chatting to a number of individuals.. However, I would probably not recommend Slowdating to friends, as I found it too hard to get any "yes" ticks, let alone any matches. I have so far attended two events, after I decided to give it another try.... I found a number of individuals who I felt I got on with, and wanted to hear more about, so I ticked "yes", but received nothing in return. This is just my experience - maybe people are just too demanding these days?

I have attended three Slow Dating events at Leicester's Long Bar this year, but I have found all to be a disappointment. For a start, you are kept waiting in the holding area for a very long time. On the last one I went to a number of girls didn't show up, and whilst I have had ticks for all three events, when I do get in contact the other person won't reply. Why have they ticked me if they're not interested? I do wonder if some of the girls were plants by the company in an attempt to make up the numbers. A total waste of my time, money and petrol. Won't be going again.
