Shocking Service!

Just terrible service! At least once a week something goes wrong, but the help desk is shockingly bad. You have to submit a ticket. A ticket that is marked as "closed" as soon as Pixel reply. That reply is basic, uninformative and often wrong. It is abundantly clear that they really couldn't care less, and just throw random "stock responses" at you. That is, when the ticketing system is up and running! I spent an hour last week being pushed from pillar to post trying to submit a ticket, being given an email address, then being told to submit a ticket...! There is no phone number, you can't speak to an actual human being. I once had to wait a whole 10 minutes in a chat, between my "assistant" greeting me and actually replying to my problem (without a solution).

We use Wordpress, and the website is very slow. We haven't noticed any down time, but having read some of the other reviews I'll look at getting something to monitor that.

They also host our emails. More than half of the time, these don't go. Apparently it's our devices. All of them. For everyone in the company...! And when clients repeatedly can't email us, it's their problem. Despite them having no problem sending us emails to addresses hosted on other servers.

We'll be moving shortly, please don't waste your time with these clowns, pay a little extra and get a decent service.

Really Poor Customer Serviceand Services In General!

I certainly won't be recommending Pixel Internet to anyone, there have been countless issues over the time I've been with them, as the owner of a fast paced business this isn't something that is welcomed!

I'd say I'm a fair and patient person, despite feeling frustrated with this company on so many occasions, I have never lost my temper with them or thought about posting a bad review but just for the sheer amount of times the same issues are arising I feel the need to warn other potential customers about their lack of care for existing customers.

Needless to say I have moved to another host for all of my services and I certainly wont be sad to see Pixel Internet go.

Win 10 Using Web Builder - No Cut Copy And Paste

I have been a user of Pixelinternet for some years now but my operating system was Win 7 & Explorer 9. So I wanted to migrate to Win 10. I was told to delete my current site in Win 7 and rebuild in Win 10. So I backed up all my old site made Word Docs of all the pages. When I came to copy and paste from my word docs and saved the work I was unable to return to edit my work. I have now been waiting since April 14th for support to solve the issue.

GOOD JOB I AM NOT RELIANT ON MY WEB SIOTE FOR EARNINGS TO LIVE ON!!!!!

Service Has Become Terrible

I am a senior web developer and have worked with many hosting companies but one of my favorites so far has been PixelInternet. But sadly... all good things must come to an end.

Pixelinternet was a great hosting company. Their service was quick, response times to support requests were helpful and accurate and the overall quality of service was excellent. You got value for money and never felt let down by their support team.

But in recent years they have faltered. My account has been riddled with issues and except for one of their support staff, the responses from their support team are awful. They can be extremely condescending and probably believe that all customers opening a support ticket are clueless about servers, hardware, applications etc. Even when a support ticket has contained technical information, their responses would completely overlook it and talk down to your e.g. "Did you refresh the browser?".

Ignoring the staff issues their overall service is now become terrible. In the first week of opening a client's account with them I have had to send them 3 support tickets. Many of them to request the services I selected when I signed up. It beggars belief that I need to open a support ticket to request for services that were on the Invoice when I purchased the hosting options. Worse of all this wasn't a quick fix and took them nearly a week to sort out. Now three weeks into this client's two year account the database has been lost and no access to the database is available. Thus, any database related features on the application are broken.

I personally am dismayed by what they have become and will be taking myself and all my clients to another provider as I can no longer trust them.

Fast Support And A Good Service.

Ive been with Pixel for 3 years now and have been very happy. Ive not has any downtime (I use Pingdom to monitor) and on the 6 occasions I have needed support (technical questions) I have has a reply within minutes.

I don't know how they manage to offer hosting for such a small price but its a no brainer for me. Pluys I just got a further 25% off my renewal for tweeting them :)

Their support system is ticket based but that's never been a problem for me, so I guess that is personal preference.

So in short I would (and do) recommend them to others. :)

Badly Deteriorated

I've been with Pixel Internet since 2010. I never really encountered any problems till 2014, when I installed a monitoring key. Since then, I've had 56 downtime alerts.

The support service is very poor. They don't seem to hold themselves accountable for the lack of service - if I pay, I expect my site to be up, especially since there is someone trying to get the domain name from me, which I have gone to some lengths to explain to Pixel Internet.

They don't answer all my questions and it's sometimes difficult to follow what they advise. When I took to Twitter to see if I could force some responsible attitudes out of them, I got a snotty email instead of an apology! They'd taken the time to look up my details without even checking the support tickets I'd submitted.

They've let my hosting expire without warning and they allowed my site to expire a day early.

Terrible Service For Hosting And Domain Management

They are a law unto themselves.

They suspend hosting accounts despite the fact they have 6 months remaining because of their clerical system errors, then vaguely apologise - thing is I knew it would happen 6 months earlier but you can't talk to anyone to get it sorted and you run out of time. You can not speak to anyone. You have to contact thru a support control panel - if you are a slow typer this takes for ever and they then try to bambuzul you with incorrect information. If you use the online contact form it conveniently gets dumped mid way and you have to restart the process again.

their control panel is not convenient when managing domains and hosting.

Furthermore if using wordpress site their service appears to be very slow for even the most basic of sites

If I had known their was to be no phone support and that they were going to hide behind contact forms I wouldn't have gone with them.

I have been with them for several years and at least twice a year there is some screw up.

Amazing Service

The price of Pixel's service is much in line with other companies, but the service is where they stand out. We host several sites with them and no problem is too much. They're always really friendly and helpful, and we're very happy to be with them
