“Tried Selling Vitpilen 701, Deleted Ad”

Written on: 22/09/2021 by lukedemot2 (1 review written)

Listed an ad on their site, got a receipt to confirm i paid, Had to email after 24hrs to find out why my ad never got listed. They asked a couple of questions, which didn't really make much sense, Then deleted my advert without telling me so i could at least get chance to save and transfer to another site and i spent a long time writing it out, refunded me and told me a member of the team will be in touch to re-do the advert. Never got contacted. Don't waste your time, just go to ebay or… Read Full Review

“Expensive, too slow to appear online, not impressed at...”

Written on: 04/04/2020

Advert was done yesterday and paid for, but no sign of it online a day later. These online things should be immediate, as they are with Gumtree, E Bay and everywhere else i use. Come on MCN, you claim to be the number 1 place to get a bike sold. Keep up. It's not 1970 now, it's 2020! Too slow and expensive for what you get… Read Full Review

“the least beat option”

Written on: 12/05/2017 by bullethead (1 review written)

I enlisted MCN, Gumtree and ebay to sell my bike. I got nothing via MCN, but was spoilt for choice with the other two - I got the asking price. MCN cost £20 compared with £10 and nothing for the other routes. MCN clearly has good credibility, but you may need a radical rethink if you wish to remain relevant with how the p2p economy works today… Read Full Review

“Auto bike is better”

Written on: 17/02/2017 by Tonyharms (1 review written)

As a bike paper it is 1st class and it may be good to sell big bikes in but I was bombarded with scammers with the advert with MCN for my Honda 125 I didn't get one genuine contact from them, but with auto trader and eBay I got no scammers and a lot of interest plus sold for price I wanted… Read Full Review

“Gumtree is better ”

Written on: 28/11/2016 by subs_p (1 review written)

£30 or whatever it is for however long is an absolute ripoff. As a private buyer and seller, I've never bought a bike that's been advertised on MCN or even gone to see one, mainly because it's all flooded with trade sellers anyways so if you're an occasional private seller like me it's extremely difficult for your bike to be seen. I sold my bike on Gumtree where it was free - I saw no additional interest after spending money to advertise with this website. My advice: put your bike on Gumtree… Read Full Review

“Use eBay instead !”

Written on: 08/06/2016 by Deacon88 (1 review written)

Really poor experience with MCN. Despite advice from the site, got only one contact from a buyer. The site would not let me add photos that had been rotated 90 degrees so the showed in the correct way. The site would not publish the correct details of my bike - no idea why. Truncated the text dramatically. Customer support team were good… Read Full Review

“No response, but then again it wasnt on there long”

Written on: 28/06/2015 by Aldent189 (1 review written)

Posted on a friday and I was hoping the advert would appear in thenext weeks MCN but it didnt. So I was some what disappointed, I needed to sell my bike quickly. Paid for top range advert, in the week snce I placed the ad, although it took a few days to even appear on the web I didnt have any contacts at all. The quality of the web pictures was appaling. I managed to sell it myself and ideally a bit of a refund would be appreciated. The magazine advert limits you to so few words, eben if you… Read Full Review

“Far too slow”

Written on: 11/05/2015 by Sweller (1 review written)

I listed my bike for sale on Saturday afternoon on MCN, pistonheads and eBay. The PH and eBay ads appeared immediately and the bike sold in less than 24hrs. I cancelled the eBay and PH ads on Sunday which were also actioned immediately. I tried to cancel the MCN ad but it seems they have gone back in time as now you have to call or email to change or cancel which is in addition to the ad not appearing on the website immediately. All in all a wasted £19… Read Full Review

“Disappointed ”

Written on: 10/08/2014 by ulVogel395 (1 review written)

This was my first selling experience with MCN and I have to say I was disappointed. Firstly I placed the advert on the Friday and it took until the following Wednesday for it to go live. I never received one inquiry regarding the bike so decided to place it on e-bay, I was inundated with inquiries and the bike sold for the asking price within 24hrs...I could have sold it several time over. Not one of the people who contacted me regarding the bike had looked at the MCN web site. I think your… Read Full Review

“Not one reply”

Written on: 30/06/2014 by threepennystander (1 review written)

Very disappointed. Spent £26 on advert with MCN, not one reply. Finally sold with Gumtree for a charge of £6.50 I would not recommend selling a motorcycle with MCN to any of my friends and family. Too expensive to advertise for no interest whatsoever. Think they should refund their charges if the result is as poor as this. The bike was not too expensive as it was sold successfully elsewhere… Read Full Review
