“No customer service!”

So very, very disappointed. We have bought refurbished products from Music Magpie before, but this experience was just so terrible i would not recommend. We ordered an ‘excellent condition’ device, this arrived poorly packaged and really very damaged, with deep scratches and defects that could never have been considered in ‘excellent condition’, the device was not even in ‘good condition’. This item was awful, so we contacted Music Magpie immediately and provided pictures and details. It took over 24 hours for a response, at which point we received a message that seemed to be a clear standard 'automatic response' - so why did it take so long?! And why was it not possible for a tailored response in regards to our specific situation?! So, we then tried to make contact via the online chat portal…….. again customer service was sadly terrible, even though the reference number was found, we were asked to re-explain and also re-provide the photo’s?!! After spending quite some time, the outcome was the same as the automated response?! It was clear to both parties the device was likely incorrectly picked for sending; yet it’s still deemed fine for the customer to be inconvenienced and out of pocket, without the item purchased and without a real course of resolution in a timely manner, even though this was of no fault of our own. And it is obviously fine for Music Magpie to inconvenience us further (why not add to the issue?!!) and expect us to re-package, take a trip to a a royal mail office, queue return and then of course wait for MM to receive back and ‘make a decision’ on if there assessment identifies the issue and agrees to process a refund?! All the tie while we are waiting without our money and without an item that was purchased?! This is a really one sided relationship, with all the responsibility and inconvenience on us as customers, when there is such an issue that could have been an error, it would be welcomed that MM would take responsibility, try to minimise the inconvenience and resolve promptly, but no! There was no appreciation, understanding, apology or recognition that this impacted us and the process is long, frustrating and not customer considerate in any way.

“Took my money but haven't received my mobile”

DO NOT BUY A PRODUCT FROM MUSIC MAGPIE. I order & paid for a mobile phone over 2 weeks ago and still not received the phone. Everytime I ring music magpie I am told the the matter will be escalated and I will hear back within 48hrs, I never hear back from them.

“iPad Pro Wrong model issued”

I bought an iPad Pro 11 4th Generation (2022) from their ebay store on the 16th February for my daughter who is at University. MusicMagpie in turn issued a 3rd Generation iPad (2021). When I informed them of this error they informed me that they had no record of the iPad on their system and that i would need to return it to them to verify - they had issued to me! My daughter is now back at University and using the iPad. I requested a refund for the difference between the ordered version and the delivered version. MusicMagpie have stated this is not possible and that I have to get my daughter to send back to them for them to verify it is theirs and they will send a replacement (if they have one!) or will refund me for the order price. Now you would think they would bend over backwards to resolve the fault - Nope. I even offered to send back to them to validate they issued to me, for them to send back and refund the difference. Nope not an option. The lack of customer support or ownership of their fault is just shocking. 3 weeks later I am still trying to resolve. Genuinely amazed at their response and ownership of their error. i have shared all of the iPad credentials, but still nothing.

“Broke my device now refuse accountability ”

MusicmagPie offered a lucrative price to get me to send my phone to them, phone was sent in full working order (I have image proof), a false assessment was done and new offer of £73.50 (original offer £260) was offered due to 'heavy cosmetic wear'. Phone was received back broken, unable to switch on. The following day the device was brought to Apple (have a report/proof of this) who said (in the eyes of the maker and supplier) the phone has NO cosmetic damage, Apple also ran tests and said hardware had been broken or removed from the phone. Reported to MusicmagPie who now completely ignore me. Reported to trading standards and Ombudsman and now starting legal proceedings. The money is irrelevant, what matters is me, as an individual, if I took something or damaged someones property this would be a crime and I would be held accountable, and so companies like this need to be held to the same accountability.

Went to the local kiosk to sell my phone after being offered 400 from music magpie. They knocked it down to 336 when I got there and I agreed. They then took my phone, closed the kiosk after telling me my money would be in the bank automatically. I got home to go online to be told my money isn't there because my phone is damaged beyond repair. This phone has been in a case from day one and if it was that damaged you should give it me back!! So unless this is sorted I will keep chasing and hounding until its sorted. Please don't give them your stuff!!

“Disappointing Service”

I’m very disappointed that after buying an £850 iPhone, as pristine as it was, it had a battery life of 88%, in real life the battery doesnt last that long. You would think that after charging a wooping £850, they would have at least supplied the phone with a battery that has 100% battery life. It’s daylight robbery. The use of the phone is limited because of its poor battery life. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED AND GUTTED

“8 Days and still waiting…..”

I’m still waiting for my order to be processed. My old watch was delivered (according to their own tracking system) on Weds 12th July - that’s SIX working days. They say after it’s been delivered to a local courier depot, it then needs to be…. ‘transported to our warehouse, individually scanned and processed. We aim to have parcels processed within 1 working day of the parcel being marked as delivered however, this can take up to 2 working days during busy periods.’ I’m STILL waiting. I’m just glad I noted down its IMEI number & took photos of it as it’s in next to new condition. I wish companies would just be honest & not make guarantees they can’t keep.

“Just terrible !!”

I rented a phone, when it arrived I became ill. when I got over a serious situation I tried to get the phone working. First they never sent a charger. Then when I paid seperately for a new charger the phone didn't work.... went to a local repair person who told me it hadn't been unlocked by Music Magpie.. that it had to be returned. I asked for my money back having not used the phone and had returned the phone.... nope... I owed them £50 early cancellation fee - for non-use!!! Utterly useless Company thats moneygrabbing and a total lack of customer support

“MusicMagpie lost my phone order”

MusicMagpie lost my phone order I received a quote from MusicMagpie for my iPhone XS 256GB for £142 on 21/04/2023 and I shipped it off on 26/04/2023. On 29/04/2023 they sent me a revised offer of £40 citing that the screen is cracked, which I declined and asked for the phone to be returned since I know the phone was in perfect condition when it left me. I bought the phone brand new in 2018, and kept it in a quad lock case with toughened glass protection on it. The only fault was the battery would only last me a day. Having sustained an injury and ending up with surgery etc. I did not have the time to follow up on why my phone wasn't sent back until 18/05/2023. After not getting anywhere and starting to chase it daily last week, the MusicMagpie team now have no idea where my phone is, and Apple support say they can't help as I removed it from my Apple account therefore I have no serial number or IMEI to ask for it to be blocked. I want my phone back as when I sent it to them it was in very good condition and sent it in it's original box. Musicmagpie changed their valuation from £140+ to £40 stating the screen was cracked. I refused their revaluation and since then I cannot get an answer of where my phone is, which they allegedly returned! Please avoid MusicMagpie unless you have valuable items to throw away!

Conduct business as you would expect from an internet pawn broker. Delay refund weeks after providing Royal Mail proof. £100’s out of pocket and just fob you off.

My Apple Watch was LOST in transit they didn’t contact me after 10 days I had to contact them and now being asked for proof of purchase of my item so now I’m border line being called a mugger !!!!!! Do not use to sell when buying off them no problem !!!!

Terrible customer service. I bought friends collection, half of the discs didn't play properly. I contacted customer service and explained I was registered disabled, I'd not been out since covid due to anxiety. It would cost me to send a helper in a private taxi. They offered me £1, after numerous emails back and forward, they said they refund £3.50. I've had to repurchase it from a reputable seller

“Struggling to get an honest answer.”

Ordered a phone on 22nd November, I paid the extra to get it delivered next day, it was not showing up on my DPD app. I contacted DPD and they have not got the parcel. I contacted Music Magpie who initially said that they could not find my order. Then an operator could find my order but the parcel had not been dispatched, they immediately said that they have refunded the extra payment I had made for next day delivery and my parcel would be dispatched in 24 hours. I asked clarification of when I would receive my parcel and was told ‘should be Friday’ which is the 25th November. I said that was not suitable and I would prefer a refund, the operator said that Music Magpie could not as the order had been fulfilled and was currently in transit and would be delivered within 7 working days, ie 2nd December. I asked when was the parcel actually dispatched as DPD do not have it. Music Magpie then said that they could not check as their SYSTEM WAS DOWN. You can’t rely on what they say. Two days later and DPD still have not received the parcel but MUSIC MAGPIE claim that the parcel has been dispatched. Nobody at MUSIC MAGPIE appears to know when it was actually dispatched. BEWARE of dealing with these people.

“Absolute Rip Off - please use someone else”

These lot are a rip-off; my wife and I have sent three items now (2 phones and an iPad) every time they offer the highest trading price Vs others, and then every time they claim some damage, e.g. water damage which turns out to be a lie. The last time (Oct 2022), they offered 175 for the iPad Vs 135 from apple, BUT surprise, “water damage, so we can only offer 19” I refused and sent it to apple and they confirmed no damage and gave me the whole 135. A total sham; please avoid them.

I have ordered an ipad pro with next day delivery 5 days ago. I still don't have dispatch confirmation. The website keeps crashing, I can't login to see my order. The customer service ignoring my emails. I applied for a refund. I have got no response. They are sitting on my money. Terrible experience.

I purchased a phone from MusicMagpie more than 12 months ago, and it has now been reported as stolen and blacklisted by all carriers. I contacted their support to have this resolved, and they take no responsibility, please see the ending to our chat conversation below: Me: Please confirm it is not your responsibility when devices sold by Music Magpie turns out to be stolen as long as it's not reported as stolen in the first 12 months Advisor: Having looked into your order, I can see that it was created on May 2021. Unfortunately, our warranty only runs for 12 months from the date of delivery and since this timeframe has passed, we are unable to assist with this issue. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Me: Surely this is a joke? At first, you were not able to even access orders older than 12 months you said, and now takes no responsibility when me as a customer got a stolen device delivered. Also, I will try warn as many people as possible online about your dodgy business Advisor: I sincerely apologize for the poor experience. I have escalated your concerns to the relevant department in an effort to improve. Is there anything else I can help you with today? Me: Nothing else, just keep delivering your world class support

Hi, can anyone help me please? Can someone tell me which 'free' courier music magpie uses? I left my parcel in a 'safe place' i.e my front porch (at the end of a long drive way) and it was taken on the correct day. However there was no calling card left with tracking details. I didn't worry too much at the time but it's now been three weeks and magpie say they haven't received it and won't help as I do not have a tracking number. They say to call the courier directly but I don't know who that is! Can anyone help please?

They use various couriers my Hermes Royal Mail or dpd unfortunately you'll most likely have to try all three.
