Delighted With Dsj
David St James have been extremely helpful and quick to let my property helping me limit the void period I was receiving due to a bad service from another agent, have found them easy to deal with and would recommend them to all landlords wanting a fast quick service that is both professional and affordable.
Thanks Again :-)

Worst Agency I Have Deal
All I can say regarding this agency will not be bad enough. there is not serious at all, they are lying all time. it is the worst agency i have deal with, I will recommend to stay away from them.
first they seems nice and available but as soon as they have your deposit they never answer calls and they do not want to commit to anything, or they commit in theory and they do nothing.
they told me the house was available on one day and then once I did all payments that was supposed to move they kept pushing the date forward so I had to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks!
Then when I moved in the had no paint neither fixed anything that was broken in the house and I had to called them every single day to ask them to fix things but they only fixed some after several months.
Finally they never protected my deposit on a government scheme as they should have done by law. When I left they did not want to give it back to me even when the house was perfect. I took them to court and they obviously lost.

Owed £3500.00 Since Oct 2013!!!!!! Lawyers Instructed
New tenants moved in to my Bow house for 2 years and I was charged 2 years commission UP FRONT!!!!!!! At the end of the 1st year the tenants decided to leave so I asked for the second years commission (£1200) to be refunded which they reluctantly agreed to but nothing has arrived after 5 months. The new tenants moved in after a short empty period and they paid david st james the first months rent and the 6 weeks damages deposit which totalled £2300 and once again after 5 months of promise after promise, lie after lie, nothing has arrived to the point where I have now been forced to instruct my lawyers to persue the monies on my behalf.

Keep Away
I had to rate this company one star - because you cant rate 0 stars. Engaging David St James to act as agent for a flat let in Bow has been the biggest mistake of my life. As an experienced landlord, I was sceptical at the brash attitude, but Ryan insisted his tenant was credit checked - it transpires he wasn't. David St James said they held the deposit for the 6 month let. After a few teething troubles the let ran its course. However, when check out day came, DSJ said they had passed the deposit to me?? (they hadn't) and that I needed to return tis to the tenant. All untrue. 11 months on I still have had no response to emails, most times I call I'm greeted with 'oh I'm new here, I don't know the managers name' When you ask for the managers mobile number, you are told to send an email. A check at companies house shows that David St James is in real financial difficulty, over £150,000 in debt. Avoid at all costs

Do Not Use This Agency
This agency are appalling. Do not pay them any money. Their company policy is to take £500 'holding deposits' from anyone who is interested in making an offer on a property - they they tell you that the flat has been sold and never return your money. You will have to go through the courts to get your money back. They are aggressive, rude, appalling people who ruin the lives of many people daily.
Don't believe any of the 5* good reviews below. They are all fake reviews written by the staff, who are the most corrupt lying conmen we have ever come across
if you have been treated like this by this agency then please report them to the Property Ombudsman.
Please take this warning and do not have any dealings with them
Deposit Missing
We put down a deposit for a house in bethnal green. Suddenly we're told that the landlord has decided to sell the property. The deposit is to be returned to us within 10 working days. I emailed my details but still, THREE MONTHS later have not received my money back. I am going to keep pushing this but it is a not a good thing to be missing 500 pounds as a student. Although the encounter with the agents was good and the staff nice this agency is in no way to recommend.
Do not put down any deposit. Do not use this agency.
Don't believe that these staff are 'nice'. This company is well known for being the biggest trick estate agency in London. Unfortunately you have been a victim of their trick - read the other reviews - they do it to everyone. They take deposits, tell the tenants that the property has been sold and then never pay anyone back.
Please report them to the Property Ombudsman and he will get your money back for you. This company needs to be closed down and only if they are reported it will happen
Dishonest Keep Away
David St James are greedy and will cheat you out of your money use them at your peril.
Good looking shop window in Bow, Smooth talking Ryan is the front man who washes his hands of any monetary issues and asks you contact accounts BY EMAIL. This is a very important part of their set up.
Accounts office is not directly containable they can only be emailed and will reply at their discretion if they do they will fob you off and waste time to hold on to your money as long as possible, they endeavour to keep up the professionalism, too smooth for words.
In my case did not pay over months of my rent given to them by the tenants.
This has been my experience as a landlord and i am now having to pursue them in the courts for many thousands of pounds of my money at further cost.

Professional And Personable Service
After being left somewhat disheartened and sceptical with regards to liaising with letting agents following a series of poor experiences, David St James succeeded in changing the tone.
From our initial call to Ryan, to leaving the office with the keys in our hand, Emily and I received both a professional and personable service. The speed and organisation of the transaction was teamed with a patient and reassuring approach; one which we highly valued.
We will not hesitate to recommend Ryan or David St James moving forward.
Thank you again.
Holly & Emily.

Terrible, Very Unprofessional And Rude Agency
We have had a terrible experience as tenants in a property managed by them.
The entry fee is very high, but you should not expect any service or help
from them. They are very hard to reach and you have to call them a lot of
times until they do something, even if it is urgent. That was the case for
example when the heating broke down during the winter. We complained during
months about water leaks and damp problems (we sent a lot of pictures), and
they did nothing. With the result of a piece of ceiling falling down in the
kitchen. They have even said that we broke down the heating ourselves.
They are very unprofessional, unreliable and rude. I strongly recommend NOT
to rent any property through them.

Very Smooth
These guys where a pleasure to deal with. We viewed a property on the Monday, placed the offer on the Tuesday and moved in on the Friday. They where smooth and answered my questions everytime without fail.
We would very happily recommend these guys to all our friends.
