After Visiting All The Charter Stands At The Boat

After visiting all the charter stands at the boat show we decided we would like to try a sailing holiday with Jim Brown on the Skipper 53 Sailing Yacht Leo. http://www.sailing-yacht-leo.com/bare.htmlThis was booked through Susan Hargrove Artemis sailing Holidays [email protected] 2007. Two of us had been dinghy sailors but the rest had no experience at all. In fact my wife fears the water but felt really confident with Jim as skipper of his own yacht. He encourages people to take part in sailing but is up to the individual. If necessary he can sail it all himself but after all this is a sailing holiday. That is the key, it is not a cruise you are on a Skipper 53ft sailing yacht, which has been modernised to give as much comfort as possible. There is little storage facility in the cabins just a small wardrobe and a soft bag is all that is needed. Shorts and T-shirts are the main requirements. The yacht weights 20 tons and is very stable and has a skipper with 30 years experience. He is relaxed, very friendly and sociable and safety is paramount at all times. We had some great laughs, fantastic scenery, great food, sailing, good company including other sailors we met and a great experience. Booked again this year. Can't wait till next time.
